In your family, the shed is where old and unusual things are stored, unlike others who use cupboards or attics. Your parents and grandparents collected antique objects, but you were never allowed in the shed. After finding a hidden key while cleaning the house, you finally unlock the shed, revealing a trove of intriguing items.

The game is presented as a point-and-click game that runs in your internet browser. Escape

Reading recommends playing this on a desktop computer, which I agree with. The game boasts a charming narrative that piqued my interest with fairly straightforward gameplay. I particularly loved the cluttered look of the pictures used in the game. They were not distracting but made sense when I needed to search for something. Key items were also glowing, which greatly helped me progress through the game. Some of the inputs were slick as well, mimicking how you would interact with them in real life. The game suggests using pen and paper, creativity, and logic/good memory to play, all of which I had to utilize. Pen and paper, or a screenshot tool, made my life easier when playing this game.

The puzzles were a diverse mix which included matching, ciphers, and logic. There were some gems of a puzzles that made me smile as I solved through them. The hints were easy to find at the top of the page though they did lack depth as each puzzle only had one hint before revealing the answer. Even then, there was one puzzle that I wish provided more explanation on how to get to the solution.

This was a fun, quick hit game. The pictures captured the element of the game and story. The game was easy to navigate and was signposted well on what should be looked at. The puzzles were solid and the right amount of difficultly without being too frustrating. Though this game is offered for free, you can give a donation to the Escape Reading at the end. This game took me about a half hour on my own to play through on my own. Definitely worth the play if you are looking for something short to satisfy the puzzle itch.
