📖 THE STORY

According to the "Book of Han: Biography of the Western Regions", the Kingdom of Jingjue is celebrated for its queen, revered as a goddess with formidable and unpredictable powers. For generations, they safeguarded a mysterious pearl, said to bestow eternal life and control over the weather to its owner. After the goddess's death, the Kingdom of Jingjue disappeared without a trace, and the pearl's whereabouts remain a mystery. As a descendant of a distinguished grave-digger lineage, you have been summoned to find this powerful pearl. Will you succeed in this quest?

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

• The moment we arrived, we couldn't wait to dive into our adventure! Our first "mission" was to transform into our inner "Lara Croft" and "Indiana Jones" with the perfect outfits. We were thrilled to receive a complete set of gear, including disposable undergarments, socks, shoes, pants, and shirts. And guess what? We even got to choose between two options!

• The storytelling was absolutely unparalleled, unlike anything we've ever encountered in other escape rooms before! The performer, a professional dancer, emerged through a mystical fog and magically appeared before us. Her dance was utterly mesmerizing! We were then informed that she was the goddess who had vanished, and we caught a glimpse of the pearl we needed to find.

• Then, another NPC guided us into an ancient village, leading us into a mysterious house that could be the entrance to the tomb. This is where our "WOW"s began, and they just kept coming, all the way to the end!

• The set design was beyond anything we've ever seen in other escape rooms. These were scenes straight out of a movie! From eerie graves to dragon caves, teetering on the edge of a cliff, crossing chains over water, and even being fully submerged, I was absolutely stunned by the effort that went into creating this escape experience!

• Some props we used in this room would probably be impossible elsewhere (yes, we had real fire!) because safety wasn't a concern, but that made the experience feel more real than ever!

• The NPCs were fantastic, knowing just when and where to appear with the perfect amount of scare to keep us on the edge of our seats the entire time!

• There were more physical puzzles than logical ones, but they perfectly fit the theme of ancient grave diggers, who would have faced all these challenges to find the treasure at the end. It was exhilarating!

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

• Despite being unable to assist us with a lost key in the water, which led us to bypass the final puzzle, we had an impeccable experience. The only suggestion we have is to consider keeping a spare key on hand.

Treasure Quest is not just an escape room; it transcends the traditional boundaries of such experiences, emerging as a breathtaking 3,000 square meters adventure that captivates the senses and ignites the imagination. From the moment you step into this immersive environment, you are transported to a world that feels both ancient and alive, a place where every detail has been meticulously crafted to create an unforgettable experience. The sheer scale of Treasure Quest is impressive, allowing for a variety of interactive elements that engage participants in ways that go far beyond the typical escape room format. The combination of sound, lighting, and non-playable characters (NPCs) works in harmony to create an atmosphere that is both enchanting and thrilling. As you navigate through the intricately designed spaces, you encounter a plethora of artifacts and symbols that draw heavily from the rich tapestry of ancient Chinese history. Each room tells a story, inviting players to delve deeper into the narrative while simultaneously challenging their problem-solving skills. The puzzles are not merely tasks to be completed; they are woven into the fabric of the experience, enhancing the overall narrative and encouraging teamwork among participants. The attention to detail is astounding. The culmination of these elements results in an experience that is not only visually stunning but also intellectually stimulating. The blend of history, art, and interactive gameplay creates a unique atmosphere that is both educational and entertaining. After experiencing Treasure Quest, it’s easy to understand why it would remain etched in my memory for years to come. Treasure Quest is a masterful creation that stands as a testament to what is possible when creativity and technology converge. It is a journey worth taking, and I would eagerly choose to replay it, not just for the challenges it presents, but for the sheer beauty and depth of the experience that leaves a lasting impression on all who are fortunate enough to partake in it.

• Located in Chengdu, China (but there are a few other provinces that have this similar themed game). No English version available at the moment.

• Not recommended for individuals with claustrophobia

• You will get wet (the water is warm) but you'll be provided time at the end of shower and dry yourself (one time towel is also provided along with shampoo, soap, hair dryer, etc.)

• A debrief will be provided after the game with complimentary snakes and drinks
