A new global tycoon company, renowned for their virus protection, has launched an attack on the world in a vengeful act that threatens the world as we know it. You are tasked with entering the facility and stopping the virus from being released into the digital world before it is too late!

🆃🅷🅴 🅶🅰🅼🅴 🅿🅻🅰🆈

When you start the game, each member of your group can enter using the same game code, but you will not be synced up when you play. So using your preferred communication (Discord, Zoom, Outlook, etc) make sure you are keeping everyone in the loop as you progress in the game.

This game, much like the previous games by eScape-room.uk, is a point-n-click style digital game.Your task is to enter deeper into the rooms of AzTec by unlocking doors. Around the room lies clues to unlock the doors. Some clues will be more obvious (i.e. you can click them) but make sure to keep track of your inventory and the things you observe in the rooms as they provide important clues!

Of note, if you decide to take a break or exit your game, this interface will not save your data so you will have to restart each time. We also want to say the hint system (click on the light bulb in the top left of the screen) was not very clear. There is no actual solution given so if you're stuck, the only thing you can do is email the creator and wait for assistance. In this frame of mind, I would say this game is better suited for more experienced players.

The game builds its puzzles up for players but at a certain stage you start seeing quite a bit of deciphering. I will say it can be a bit overwhelming, especially when you start acquiring pieces and clues for later puzzles that you don’t know are needed for later. I liked how they mixed the puzzles between traditional puzzles and the coding but you will be seeing a similar rinse and repeat style as your progress. For a larger group this will have no impact as you can easily divide and conquer but single players may notice a general theme to the puzzles as a result. In addition, some outside knowledge is required so don’t be afraid to google things - this is really important for the first puzzle to give you a frame of mind. Overall I found that when the cluing was done right the experience was quite enjoyable. I found myself stumped quite a few times and spent far longer on a puzzle than I should have, even when looking at the hints (10/18/22 - The creator has updated the hint system to include solutions to all puzzles).

The set out and layout of "Mythologlik" is well executed and the theme was an interesting mix of Aztec and Norse mythology, which as a history lover I was quite curious about. I found the majority of the puzzles were well set up but the weak hint system did drag me down when I got stuck on puzzles with unclear clues (10/18/22 - The creator has updated the hint system to include solutions to all puzzles) I have taken the comments onboard and rewritten the Hints to include access to all solutions if the player gets stuck.. Each game I have played so far from eScape-room.UK has provided unique and very different concepts that keeps me coming back. If you like a bit of a challenge and enjoy deciphering and decoding then this should be quite the adventure for you!
