📖 THE STORY

Dr. Clarence Guinan Donnolly finally successfully invented a time machine. Unfortunately, during the setup he stopped the time by accident. We needed to restart the time, so the town won’t have the be frozen forever!

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The set design was absolutely beautiful. We felt like we stepped inside of a huge timepiece. The centerpiece of the room (which also acted as a finale “wow” moment) earned a lot of brownie points from us.

  • I wonder how much light it took to power this room as everywhere we turned it looked “magical”.

  • All the puzzles were well connected with the storyline and were quite unique.

  • We really enjoyed the visual puzzle that involved us working together to open. We haven’t seen it done anywhere else.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • One puzzle had a little delay in reaction even though we had the right answer. The game master had to step in to check for us. It would be great to double check to make sure there’s no issues going forward.

  • This is more of a suggestion. Since we do see a lot of intricate designs of clock parts in the room, if there could be a few more physical puzzles involving tools to “restart” the clock, it would strengthen the storyline’s final mission.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

“Mystique Room” was one of our favorite escape companies on our Budapest tour. It was also the largest company with 11 games (2 games have 2 identical rooms for competition purposes). We took a sneak peek at their other rooms (you’ll be able to see a full tour on our YouTube video. They have an entire pirate ship!) and they were all amazing. If you ever visit Budapest, this is one location you don’t want to miss.
