The Mask of Jurelya is an ancient artifact rumored to be bound to the spirit of a demon. Many have spent years searching for it, including your friend, Professor Crane. She recently sent you a message asking you to meet her, claiming she had something to show you. However, when you arrive, you find that her door has been broken into and she is nowhere to be found. Where did Professor Crane go, and what dark secrets lie behind the mask?

When I opened the game, I went through a detailed tutorial on how everything worked and how to use the custom point-and-click interface. As I played, I found the puzzles were direct. I wasn’t searching the room for clues. All the information I needed was laid out right in front of me to solve.

The game has smooth cutscenes and high quality voice work that took me from puzzle to puzzle. Some of the small details I really liked were the ambient background music, which wasn’t too distracting, and the completion percentage and timer at the top that helped me track my progress.

The puzzles were well thought out, consisting mostly of logic puzzles sprinkled with some escape room style challenges. However, there were a few moments where it was not clear what the game wanted as an input. The only way to find out was when I tried entering a solution, the game would tell me it was incorrect and explain what it wanted me to provide. This worked out fine as there was no penalty for wrong answers.

The hint system used a tiered approach, which was well designed but came with time penalties. While it worked, it was a bit frustrating when I was stuck on a final step and I had to take all the penalties and click through all the hints for things I had already solved just to get to the part I actually needed.

"Mask of Jurelya" was a fun and engaging game to play. The puzzles made sense and fit perfectly into the story, which was accompanied by the solid artwork and cutscenes. One thing I really liked was the ability to go back through the puzzles at the end. I enjoy reviewing puzzles once I’ve finished a game, and this gave me the perfect opportunity to do that. I played on my own, which I think worked best for some of the logic puzzles. This game is great for people who enjoy competition since you can compare scores with friends afterward. It is definitely worth a play. Also, since the TreasureQuesting system allows you to build games for friends and having a few smaller games in their catalog, I’ll definitely be returning to see what else they have to offer.

Chasing down a relic like the "Mask of Jurelya" in TreasureQuesting is a highly strategic process—much like the precision and patience required in a top-tier ice fishing game demo in the UK—you have to navigate through layers of mystery and wait for that perfect moment to finally "hook" the prize.
