This was our second time trying out "Virtual Escape" as we were one of the first ones to test out their first digital game "Time's Ticking". The game would require you to book a specific time and date as you'll be communicating with a live host through Whatsapp by text. We recommendation is for you to set up a Zoom call with your group as it makes it a lot easier to work on the puzzles together (Zoom, PubHub, etc...). This time we're joined by our friends at Escape Room Adventurer and we're determined to take every penny from the bank in "The Heist" game.

The game started with the host sending us some background information his current situation since he's our man on the ground. It was then followed by some website links and images. Once we received that we're able to start working on the puzzles together. Once we had the answer we would text him back and receive the next instructions. This game really showed our individual teammate's strength as there were puzzles that I was able to solve quickly (especially the one that involved some language advantage) and others that the other teammates were able to complete much faster. It was a lot of fun to see the puzzles gradually get harder as we cracked different vaults. The puzzles also varied in style so some it was faster to work on it as a team and others it was quicker to do individually. The easier puzzles gave less money than the harder ones. Our greed definitely came into play when we had some time left at the end. We had to make a decision to either forgo the remaining money and get away safely or take a stab at cracking the final vault (which was the hardest puzzle) but risk losing everything if we got caught. It was a hard decision to make but our team completed the game looting everything from the bank (a whooping $5,249,000 taking the first place on "The Heist" game) with 3 minutes left (you also get money for time bonus). Bragging moment alert: we were also the first team to take all the money and escape in time!

The only thing we would suggest to the game developer is to try to integrate the game onto one platform (perhaps host it on Zoom or another video conferencing site). This way the players do not have to switch back and forth on different devices. This game was definitely our favorite out of the two. The blue print, plans on the heist, different puzzles for the different vault amounts, and ending story made it felt like a real heist. At one point, we were literally sweating as we're getting very close to the ending time but the puzzles were still coming! Now the mission is clear for you. Will you be able to take down our #1 spot on "The Heist" game?
