Your flight will depart in about 1 hour, however your traveling buddy hasn't shown up yet. You will either have to cancel your trip or travel solo...You've opted for the latter.

This was the second YouEscape game I have played and the gameplay was the same. Upon logging into a Zoom call, you will be greeted by your Game Master. The camera view will be of a close up table shot, with several items and padlocks. The GM will then explain what you need to do to complete the game (for example how many locks there are, how many digits required etc...). This allows players to be very clear on what their objective is. To start the game, the GM will provide a google Drive link that contains pictures and documents that eventually help you unlock the locks on the table. The game will also bring you to various types of websites. Anything on the web is up for play, and the game will always provide the website for you, so you do not need to google and wonder if you are at the correct place. Once you think you have the code, just let your game master know and he will try it out for you. Once inside, you'll be provided with more items to help you with the next puzzle until the final victory.

Once again, the puzzles that YouEscape creates are innovative and challenging in the right way. There are never any red herrings, everything is given to you and the multi steps to solving the puzzles are written very clearly. The challenging part is how are you going to interpret the instructions and find the information required. In order to solve the puzzles, do remember to also check back onto Zoom as items on the tables can be your clues! More often than not, we were so immersed in digging down rabbit roles and exploring the web and being amazed on these new websites, that we can forget that there is also a live stream happening on another screen. The only thing that can be considered a 'weakness' in YouEscape games are that the puzzles are generally unrelated to the story and theme of the game you are playing. In this game, we decided to travel solo, but the puzzles generally lead us to certain famous literary characters, their names and history and ciphers that appear suddenly. However, if you do not mind puzzles that are similar to puzzle hunts and do not really focus on a narrative, puzzle lovers will definitely have a blast playing You Escape games.

Once again, after playing YouEscape's second game, I find myself wanting more. Since I am more of a puzzle lover than a narrative person, I didn't really bother about the story but rather how well the puzzles were executed. I will reiterate my feeling once more - in that if YouEscape can make all of their games into a subscription box, I will definitely hop on the wagon. They can always think of new ways to create their puzzles (this time, there weren't any scientific cool effects), but you will be amazed by what they can think of with very basic props. They ultimately turned into a meta puzzle! Wow. Truly amazing and it is a game/subscription that I wholeheartedly recommend for puzzle lovers!

(If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!)
