When we visited Italy, we noticed that they love horror themed escape rooms. Most of the rooms had live actors in them and the set designs were very immersive. If anyone saw our Youtube video of "The Ring: Samara Origin" , you'll know why I'm hesitant to try these horror type rooms. But "zoom" has given me the courage since I'm protected behind this computer screen! So we gathered a strong team of horror lovers and marched into "The Haunted Hotel".

As we enter the hotel lobby, we were greeted by a hotel staff. He was definitely a character. We felt "welcomed" right away. The set design felt eerie but well decorated. This is the perfect type of game that I would try remotely but not sure if i'll be brave enough to do in person. You'll definitely get a few "nice" jump scares. The game was not puzzle heavy but they were all inline with the story. During the game, at times we felt the flow was too slow due to the search aspect and because we're not there, it was hard to spot some items without the avatar leading us to it. It would be great if the avatar could also have some "auto play" where he could act as our searching guide. We ultimately escaped with just about 2 minutes left but normally with the equal amount of puzzles else where we should've had plenty of time on the clock. It would've been great if we could have a bit less acting time and stronger puzzles. This game definitely have potential and for people who love immersive theater, you'll have a blast here and probably don't really care to escape?
