🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
We appreciated how the storyline was integrated into the game through a puzzle that required solving. This approach ensures that players, who might otherwise overlook the narrative, are compelled to engage with it.
The game featured "hidden" elements throughout, and we valued how the props used for these reveals were pertinent to the theme.
The game offered a substantial number of puzzles, particularly suitable for two players, making it ideal for enthusiasts.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
The large window allows ample natural light into the room, which diminishes the immersive atmosphere of the eerie fortune teller's lair. We recommend covering it with black curtains.
Introducing background music would enhance the ambiance significantly.
Some props require updates. The crystal ball, the main attraction of the game, could benefit from additional features.
One piece of furniture requires more strength than is comfortable for "careful players." We suggest the Game Master either mention this at the beginning of the game or place a note in the room, rather than players needing to use a hint to inquire about it.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
This escape room is an early-generation design with a narrative focus. The set design is relatively simple and could benefit from a darker atmosphere to enhance the eerie theme of the mysterious fortune teller, Morela. While we appreciated the storyline at the outset, it seemed to fade as the game progressed, particularly in the latter room's set design. Additionally, the puzzles did not consistently relate back to the initial room. There is certainly potential to create a more cohesive experience, but as enthusiasts, we enjoyed the abundance of puzzles. Captured offers eight different games, and we're confident that one will "capture" your heart.
