"The Lost Memory" was an online point-n-click escape game. The game was built on a beautiful story starting with an old chest in the attic of the house you just bought.

The puzzles started off quite easy and gradually got harder. There were simple logic puzzles along with a few multi-step ones. You'll need to Google as a good amount of puzzles were in the "search and find" category. There was one puzzle that you'll probably need to print and cut as well (we were unable to visualize it on the computer). If you get stuck, there's a build-in hint system. We enjoyed piecing the mystery together by solving one puzzle after another. Since the game was quite long, it was nice to see that the game creators added "breaks" to the chapters. If you wanted to come back to the game, just copy and paste the URL you were on and you'll be able to continue from that point on. There was one particular puzzle we found a bit confusing since we had to retype answers we already entered in order to "open" certain areas. The hardest puzzle we thought for this game was towards the end when we had to use Google maps. We found that Google map puzzles could become difficult if we are not sure exactly what we needed to find. It was also very hard to describe them in the hint system. We had to eventually use the answers for those questions to bypass that section. Overall, we really liked the concept of the game and how it was presented. The ending was very emotional (I'm pretty sure I shed a tear or two) and I'm a sucker for happy endings.

The Lost Memory was created by 18 Netherlands escape room owners during this COVID period. Although the game is free, we strongly suggest you give a donation to support them through this difficult time period. For the amount of puzzle content (definitely not easy puzzles) and the captivating story line, it's definitely worth 2-3 hours of your time!
