📖 THE STORY

A new family has just moved in next door. Polite and quiet, a few weeks later, they invite you over. After a couple of knocks on the door, you get no answers. Pushing it open, you step inside and say “Hello?”. Suddenly the door slams behind you. You need to figure a way out before the house decides that you are no longer allowed to leave.

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • There were clear instructions at the beginning, explaining the story but also making sure we knew how to navigate the rooms.

  • One room during the game wasn’t locked but would have the lights come on when it was time to go in, which added a neat effect to the flow.

  • There were a handful of creative puzzles that gave us some nice “aha!” moments when we solved them.

  • The set design was spot on, looking like an authentic house with some neat reveals along the way.

  • An in-game actor played a character to give us hints and guidance, which helped not break immersion through the game.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • There were some props that added to the room’s ambiance, but they stood out so much that we assumed that they were meant for a puzzle. At the end, we found out they were just for show and we’re even a little disappointed because some of those props would have made for some great puzzles.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

"House of Things" was a fun game with some solid puzzles. The décor of the rooms was on par for the theme, though there were some extra items that made us believe there were more puzzles around. Our group of 4 veteran players navigated the game quite easily but this would be a great room for 6 beginners to try out an escape room for the first time. With its solid, satisfying puzzles and casual challenge level, this would be a great lighter, enjoyable escape game.

ℹ️ ADDITIONAL INFO

  • Free (but limited) parking

  • Small waiting room

  • At the time of writing this, there was a lot of construction in the area. Give yourself plenty of time to navigate as some streets were closed off. For parking, you would have to drive through the back alley and walk around to the front.

Great post about the EPFO passbook feature. It’s very helpful for users who want to track their PF balance and contributions easily. Many people are not fully aware of how to access or use it, so your clear explanation makes the process simple to understand. The EPFO passbook is a valuable tool for maintaining financial transparency. Thanks for sharing such informative content, it will definitely help users manage their accounts better.

Practical and fun to read. The breakdown of party planning ideas was organized and easy to imagine in action which makes https://maydayhoustonlaw.com/ it useful for real planning. It balances creativity with logistics well. I was reminded of a planning related piece on maydayhoustonlaw that also emphasized preparation as the key to a smooth experience.
