📖 THE STORY

It’s starts as normal day in the life of the firefighter. You arrive at the station with your friends and colleagues and begin your regular duties. One part of being a firefighter, is it always requires you to be ready for challenges that you will face with each dispatch. Yet, todays dispatch call is different. Are you prepared for the job, or will you perish under the pressure?

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

The details in the room were amazing and done with obvious care, down to the real fire hoses in the first room.
There are very well-defined goals as you progress through the room that helps guide players during the experience that allowed you to focus on the puzzles.
The reveals in this room were well done and perfectly time. It catered to the theme beautifully and created an immersive experience.
The flow of this game was effective ramping up the tension over the course of the room. The urgency that builds never felt overwhelming and, instead, it exhilarated players to keep going.
Puzzles were not difficult but required teamwork to complete and thus fit the theme of the room to encourage players to collaborate.
Everything had a purpose and there were quite a few times when a lightbulb moment would happen when something you learned or found earlier became key. It created quite a few satisfying “aha” moments.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

Some writing utensils could be benefitted for a couple puzzles for those who struggle to remember. Our GM did say we could use our phone, but it felt at odds to pull out our phone in the middle of a rescue mission.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

"Firefighter Rescue Mission" is a thrilling and wonderfully themed experience that balances collaboration and challenge with an ease I quite enjoyed. None of the puzzles felt tedious And each had a purpose that fit within the confines of the game. Despite this being an intermediate level game, the structure and styles makes it straightforward enough that even a beginner could feel confident entering this room with friends. The camaraderie this game encourages through its tasks makes this an excellent game for friends or team building.
