📖 THE STORY

The safety of the planet is under threat from a shower of asteroids that threaten to wreak havoc on both the surface and our atmosphere. NASA has launched the ship NEMESIS, with you as its crew, into space to defend Earth. Unfortunately, the ship has suffered damage from the incoming asteroid shower. You must first repair the ship, then you need to remove the threat before it’s too late.

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The futuristic theme offers an experience that transports players to a high-tech world, making it a refreshing change from more traditional escape room settings. The set pieces and props contribute to a sense of being in a distant future, enhancing the overall experience.

  • The puzzles are varied, offering some dexterity challenges, as well as tasks that require a keen eye and out of the box thinking. It was good to see how interactive everything was, a theme that continued from start to finish.

  • The ending ties together the whole mission and you can physically see the results of your actions, as you get to use the ship’s lasers to blow up the asteroids as they hurtle pass you on their way to earth.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • Although it appears a higher budget was used to create this room than its predecessors, the overall vibe falls pretty flat. It was disappointing that no special effects, such as lights, sounds, smoke, etc. were utilized to push the dynamic of being on a stricken ship or being on a craft of the future. The space therefore felt very sterile and perhaps too polished. Since the ship was damaged it would have been good to have seen it somehow.

  • I was disappointed to see that the price of this room was higher than the others at Friscape. We felt already that the other rooms were over priced based on the materials used, complexity of the puzzles, and their fellow competitors. 2150: Nemesis, in our opinion, was by no way a superior room, and based on the overall experience, actually one of our least favorites at this location.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

For players looking for a little more of an abstract and unconventional experience then this could be worth a play, it was fun to see asteroids exploding and being the saviors of the world. The game is ideal for two experienced players or up to four with less experience.
