📖 THE STORY

Jeddah has faced a series of strange deaths. The victims have nothing in common

except for one thing; they all died from a cardiac arrest, and on the face of each victim is a grimace of horror. As Detectives, you are tasked with investigating these murders and solving the mystery.

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The set design from the moment you enter Never Out is extremely classy. The lavish cinema themed décor and furniture immediately clues you in to the fact that the games in this escape facility are all movie based.

  • Often companies fail to provide somewhere sufficient for teams to take their photo; thought was clearly applied here. A small stage with a director’s chair and several other props are situated in front of a specially designed and lighted backdrop. It was a great and we had fun taking both group and solo pictures. My only suggestion would be to provide specific room related props too, e.g. a Mad Hatter’s hat or teacups for Alice in Wonderland, or a VHS for The Ring, etc.

  • The quality of the room construction is a continuation of what you experience in the lobby. A high attention to detail has been applied to ensure the decoration enhances the theming.

  • Never Out manage to create a tense atmosphere that is elevated further by the strategic use of an actor. The acting is not over-done and only enhances the experience, a balance that is sometimes hard to achieve. So, whilst they may not be present too often, the mere threat of their arrival only fuels the suspense and suspicion within.

  • Teams are split up for a short period (which you are made aware of prior to entering), this added an extra dynamic to the game which we enjoyed.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • The room is driven more by the experience than it is by puzzles; for that, it is quite light. This is not necessarily a negative, but as an experienced player, we would have enjoyed to solve more riddles along the way.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

For those who enjoy horror rooms, or experience one for the first time, this room is

recommended. The synergy between suspense and horror is well struck and not

overdone.

ℹ️ ADDITIONAL INFO

  • There are several parking spaces directly in front of the building

  • There is a large lounge area with a sofa and several other comfy chairs

  • There are two rooms on the second floor; however, I did not see an elevator.

  • This room is not wheelchair friendly, crawling is required.

  • This room contains a live actor.
