📖 THE STORY
On a pier near Monterey Bay, you enter the home of Captain Magnus who is known for his daring voyages into uncharted waters and encounters with mythical sea creatures. While some doubted his tales, others believed he hid a treasure linked to these creatures. This treasure, rumored to be more than gold and jewels, might reveal the truth behind his stories and help you escape the rising tides.

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
One reason we enjoy pirate-themed rooms is that they almost always ensure the set design makes you feel like you're aboard an old wooden ship. It's this escape from reality that draws us to play escape rooms. This particular room had some unexpected surprises not typically found on a standard pirate ship.
We faced a situation that required the players to make a "choice" alongside their teammates, guaranteeing that only one or a select few would experience something distinct from the rest. Choose wisely.
While the entrances to the next stages in the game were somewhat predictable, we greatly appreciated the game set designer's effort to make each entrance distinct and more than just a typical door.
We thoroughly enjoyed the final puzzle, as it was the most challenging in the game. No preparation could have helped us without all the necessary information. It was thrilling to eventually conquer it, and the urgency towards the end was exhilarating.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
The written clues on the props should be updated or given a different finish to align with the high standard of the rest of the room's set design.
From a seasoned player's perspective, some puzzles felt overly straightforward, lacking logical connections beyond observation and trial with specific locks. However, beginner players may find this approach quite logical.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
Get ready for an innovative storyline where you're not just playing in an escape room—you're diving into a story that's set within an escape room! We encountered some thrilling surprises throughout the game, leading to a truly "unexpected" ending that blew us away with its visual effects. The puzzles struck the perfect balance of challenge, making it ideal for both kids and adults. Wondering if we actually came face-to-face with a Kraken? It's time for YOU to embark on this exciting journey and set sail with Captain Magnus!
