Something strange is happening! There's a microchip that's turning all humans into cats! We must help Dr Woofred Barker (VGB) and stop this madness!

This digital game is designed using Squarespace. The puzzles were presented in image formats and it's similar to a point-n-click game. You'll be able to unlock new areas of the puzzle by entering the right codes on the website, Make sure the answers are all in caps. We played the game as a group of 6. Each of us logged into the game with our individual links. The game will not be synced so if you decide to play it as a group, hop on to Zoom or any other conferencing platform and keep each other updated with the passwords so you can progress as a team.

The artwork was very cute and we were surprised by how the creator was able to cleverly utilize it with the story line and puzzles. We really enjoyed the time travel theme and few of the embedded puns in the dialogues. One thing I found that I was having issues with was the amount of new windows that I had to keep track with but that may be due to the fact that I kept clicking on the same puzzle since I forgot if I had clicked it or not. Since there's no inventory for this game, it's important to take good notes. I found that snapping a few photos with the phone helped a lot as I didn't have to go back and forth as much on the interface.

The puzzles were definitely designed with more advanced players in mind. We finished with 1 hour 32 minutes without taking a break or using any hints. If you feel like you need to take a break, just save the URL of the page you're on but don't forget to write down the passwords.

We really enjoyed the innovative ideas that the puzzles were able to incorporate and as experienced players, we loved the challenges. It definitely helped to have our P.I. with us as we were able to divide and conquer. Some puzzles also were easier to solve cooperatively. One of us would be on one page and the others on another page and we're able to communicate information to them so they could decode the messages quicker. We found that having one player share their screen also helped with communication.

We're always surprised by the quality of Quarantini Boredom Escapes' games. You can tell the creator put a lot of love and time into it. It's amazing that she's putting these games out for everyone to try for free and all she's asking is for the players to donate to a cause. Definitely give their other games a try as well and if you just started your puzzling journey, try "Acorn Cottage" first. We hope you'll be able to save humankind but if not, turning into one of these cute little things might not be so bad after all?

This online adventure is definitely one of the best we played lately. A series of original and complex-yet-fair riddles. Most puzzles require combining data collected from several locations.

No tedious tasks, only paying attention to details and making the grey matter do the work.

There are hints available which happily enough we didn’t get the chance to try, though we seriously considered it several times throughout the game.

The interface is a rather standard “point and click” game, colorful and easy to navigate. The adventure is considerably long, so you better start it sharp and full of energy. We will definitely look forward to play more adventures from "Quarantini Boredom Escapes".

"Escape from Catland" by Quarantini Boredom Escapes is one for the puzzlers who like a challenge! The game is long and involved and if we didn't have such a great team we would have probably enjoyed it over a few days. The graphics and story are fun and draw you along but really it's about the puzzles, and the puzzles within the puzzles! Highly recommend if this is your jam especially as it's a free game! There are two other games by Quarantini Boredom Escapes that we will definitely be playing.

(If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!)
