When we booked this game, I was surprised to see how early they were able to accommodate us. We assume this is because SCRAP was targeting the US market. However, I was confused when we received instructions that our avatar will not be speaking to us throughout the game because her English is not that great. We can only direct her to do simple things that were on a fixed script.

I'm hesitant to group this game in the category of remote escape room since it didn't feel like there was any set design. This felt more like a puzzle hunting. The graphics were cute and the usage of breakout rooms to tell a story was clever. I could see this game being enjoyed by players who are heavy on puzzles and don't care about the set design much. Perhaps changing the category of the game can rectify this confusion. If this could be hosted as an audio escape room for puzzle solving, it might make more sense since we didn't feel like there was a need for an avatar in this case. We did enjoy the final puzzle and the best part is we actually escaped a SCRAP game (for those of you that played SCRAP games before, you understand this means we are in the top 1% right?)!
