Schiffer Publishing currently offers 4 Escape Game Adventure books for kids to play at home. Here are our thoughts on two of them:
"The Last Dragon" & "The Mad Hacker" were a new category of puzzle books that Schiffer Publishing came out for kids ages 8-12. This was the perfect timing for the release since most kids were being homeschooled. These puzzle books seemed to be a great option for activities outside of school work.
The story line for these books all revolved around time traveling. For "The Mad Hacker" we traveled into the year 2394 and for "The Last Dragon" we were transported back to the 12th century. In both cases we successfully saved the day and became heroes! I feel no shame at claiming our victory with these kids books as they were not as easy as they seemed. Parents should definitely join in the fun and complete these together with the kids.
We also gave away a bunch of books to different kids of the age group to try and all of them came back with positive feedback. They enjoyed solving the different types of puzzles (mazes, decoding, DIY jigsaw, etc. ) and loved the beautiful color illustrations!
