Kevin Helock

I got my start as a fiction writer by competing in the Scholastic Writing Awards in high school. Since winning a Silver Key at the national level of competition, I have studied creative writing and secondary education at Susquehanna University, after which I spent some time as an English teacher before leaving to pursue my own creative ambitions. My work has appeared in "The Best Teen Writing" of 2016, "Sanctuary Magazine", "Santa Fe Writer’s Project Quarterly", "Radon Journal", and "Little Patuxent Review". I currently live in New Jersey with my fiancée, Joanna, and our twin cats, Bo and Jinx. When I'm not writing or breaking out of an escape room, I'm probably hosting a game of D&D or bothering someone about Godzilla.
