The Pluto Junkworks is famous throughout the solar system for rescuing robots and we firmly believe that nothing should be thrown away if it can be repaired and reused. Broken bots of all shapes and sizes end up at our factory just crying out for some love and attention. All you’ll need is a brain or two (or three or four), blueprints and a pencil, and you’re ready to go!

Robot Rescue is a Print-n-cut game designed by Escape Hunt. In order to play this game, you will need a printer, a scissors, a pen/pencil and a device with internet access. In Robot Rescue, we are tasked to repair the different parts of a robot, from its head to its hands/legs and chest. Each body part is a puzzle that we need to solve in order to get a codeword. Hence, getting all codewords will lead us to the final code to rescue the robot! You will need to access the internet as they have a cute interface for you to click on which robot part you wish to repair. Each area will have a short introduction on what the issue the robot has, and sometimes, a clue for you on what you need to do. Refer back to the printed pages and solve the puzzle on that page using the given clue!

All the puzzles were designed with the younger generation in mind. They were all very straightforward and a variety of puzzles were present. The various skills being tested were Math, general (very simple) knowledge, shading, spatial recognition and physical manipulation of objects. It was a neat little package that contained just about everything. Added to the fact that the papers were all very colourful and it was certainly attractive to the eyes.

With the mindset that this is a game for children, my conclusion will be for adults thinking to purchase this game for their children to play together as a family. I will thoroughly recommend this game if you are looking for a suitable kids game. Escape Hunt definitely made it attractive and fun for the kids. There are some kids' games that are really common and simple - for example, just connecting the dots or some basic pattern matching. However, in Robot Rescue, Escape Hunt took these basic concepts and tweaked them so that for children playing this game, they can still get a 'wow' effect when they know how to solve the puzzle, rather than feeling like this is just an 'activity book'.

PS: For adults playing this game as a trial to see if it's suitable for their kids, I will recommend not to overthink like I did at some solutions. What you see is exactly what you need 😜
