🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The room does disguise "the reveals" quite well. You start off in a small room only to realize that the secret chamber definitely "opens up" to deeper mysteries.

  • The final room was quite majestic. You feel like you're in one of the hallways in the Harry Potter movie. The only thing we were hoping for was more puzzles as just one felt like a waste of space.

  • One of the cluing props used was quite "magical". It went perfectly with the story it was trying to portray (although there was an error either in the lock or the cluing itself).

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • The wand, a tool we had to use multiple times in the room, was hard to maneuver. We suggest either adding an instruction booklet or an easier tool.

  • One of the things we had to discover didn't have a clear clue about the prop itself. Being that we're careful players, we didn't want to "force" the item into something we're unsure if that's the intent of the use. It would be great to have an "indicator" on the prop.

  • We suggest taking one of the clues from the book manual out as it was confusing to the players when it's not used for the actual puzzle or prop.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

If you wanted to feel like a wizard and make some magic spells, this room definitely gave you a few opportunities to do so. It would be great if there were some added dramatic sound/light moments as there were definitely occasions that lacked that "wow" moment. However, for beginners, there were a few "tricks" that will definitely leave you pondering: "How did they do that?" The puzzles were more task-oriented so if you're able to read the instructions carefully, you should have no problem defeating the Dark One and saving the world!
