We visited Locked Room in Budapest not long ago. They have some really amazing set designs for their rooms. We were very excited to see what "Motel" was going to be like. This was the second remote escape room we've tried.

Our avatar was amazing. She was really in character and obliged to everything we've asked her to do (except the 50 push ups at the end). This was also the first time we saw two cameras being used. One camera was on the avatar and the other was angled towards the table with items we found (which essentially became our "inventory" list). Our team really enjoyed this as this was the first time we felt that we can work on different puzzles simultaneously. The puzzles were pretty linear but they added elements of "surprises" as we explored the rooms. With remote escape rooms, you can't do much on lighting since if it's too dark, the players can't see the puzzles. But if it's too bright you will lose the ambiance. We liked how Locked Room was able to salvage some of that by adding lights to areas we needed to direct our attention to (ie. when the safe popped after we solved a puzzle). Being that the company is in Budapest, the room rate are lower. This is a great opportunity to try this room with a group of friends. For €6.19 per person, that's less than a lot of digital games!

*** This game can no longer be booked as a remote game but can still be booked as an in-person experience ***
