"Project 7: Escape Room" is a 3D puzzle adventure game centered around investigating a physicist's disappearance. This marks M9 Games' first project developed with Unreal Engine, featuring new interface adjustments that improve interactivity. This game focuses on physics-based interactions, enabling you to lift, rotate, and physically maneuver larger objects within the room to solve puzzles.
You have the freedom to explore the mansion in any order you choose and take your time, using a comprehensive save system to track your progress. The experience includes unique 3D graphics, subtle jump scares, and a voiced internal monologue for the character.

Many of the "rooms" contained only a single puzzle to solve, which seemed like a waste given the large area available for exploration.

This includes pressing buttons, rotating items, and even picking up and moving larger objects to specific locations, with a stronger emphasis on integrated problem-solving rather than isolated puzzles. A few mild jump scares are included to keep you attentive, but as is usual with M9, you have the flexibility to proceed at your own pace and tackle challenges in any order you prefer (or can), supported by a complete save system that lets you record your progress as needed.
Overall, "Project 7: Escape Room" has a niche title that will appeal to dedicated fans of point-n-click or traditional escape room fans, but it might not meet the expectations of players seeking contemporary, smooth adventure game mechanics.
