📖 THE STORY

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • This escape room has a very unique storyline and being that it's set in the ancient times in China, there's a mysteriousness right from the beginning!

  • The set was designed to resemble chambers inside a traditional China empire. Mostly wooden furniture with kitchen utensils and spices. Other than the set design, you'll also experience lighting and even some fog during the game play that makes you feel like you've been transported into a dream state.

  • There are several "stages" that we needed to complete based on the emperor's required dishes. The urgency that was created by sound and count down really had us running and jumping at our feet feeling like we might be facing punishment any second.

  • It was nice to see how some puzzles were utilized differently than the normal way we are used to seeing them in an escape room.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • A good amount of this room was based on searching for clues or items to complete the puzzles. Due to the smoke and the dim lighting in the room, some things were a bit hard to read. We suggest giving a torch to the players so they can easily input codes and see the details needed for the puzzles.

  • One color puzzle in particular didn't seem to match up to the paper clue provided. One of the items also didn't match up to the initial picture that was presented to us. We suggest doing some up-keeping to the props in the room to avoid confusion.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

This room is great for family and beginner players. The room was quite spacious for a large group. The puzzles were not too difficult but we had a lot of fun being chefs and pleasing the "emperor". The heart beating moment when we're about to find out if we passed his test or if we were going to be beheaded was definitely exciting. If you do fail at the meal prep, you might still be given one last chance to escape, so don't give up last minute!

ℹ️ ADDITIONAL INFO

  • Lobby with seating area

  • Located on the 2nd floor (elevator available)

  • Small selection of games to purchase and if you want more puzzles after the escape room, the owner is also the creator of the puzzle book series "Trip 1907"!
