Avatar Stalker Phase 2 was build on the same storyline as Phase 1. If you've already played Phase 1 then just note that the the location of the game changed to the basement of the pawn shop and there were a different puzzles in this game but the general rules are the same.

Your team will meet the avatar through Zoom. You'll start with an intro video and a debrief on game rules by meeting a gamemaster in the Zoom lobby. Once you're clear on the directions, your avatar will be waiting for you in the basement of the building. In this game your goal is to get as many points as possible by collecting bonus items and blue, yellow, red, and bronze parts so you can craft artifacts at the end. During the game, you'll encounter mystery boxes which your team needs to decide if its worth opening or not. Some boxes are great as they contain lots of artifacts (we're super lucky in this game and got all the "good" boxes) but some may cost you to lose a life (you only have 3!). If you are low on life, you'll probably need to visit the Chickman. If you win the game with him, you'll regain a life. But if you lose, you'll lose 5 minutes of game time.

Avatars also can find certain tools that they can use within the game space. For instance, in this game we were able to find a crowbar and a black light. Black lights are to be used with any blue spider marking areas. If you see a yellow spider marking, that means there's a puzzle that needs to be solved. You'll need to solve 9 in order to open the last room. In the last room, if you have time, you can continue to solve bonus puzzles. Sometimes (pending on if you are lucky or not), Utya duck may come out to help you find a few rare artifact's locations.

The main focus on this game is not on the puzzles. Most of the ones we've encountered were quite easy and there were a lot of search and find components. However, your team will still need to strategize on how to optimize the time to acquire the highest amount of points. I've written some tips on how to play an online escape room like a pro so this could help you.

I do like the element of surprise where you think this scrap of metal has no use but all of a sudden when the avatar touches it, magic happens. Sometimes it's a prerecorded video and other times it's how the avatar reacts to it. Regardless, the anticipation and excitement when we saw a marked spider during the game never died down.

Attending a Hypno Dive game is like going to a rave party. You feel the adrenaline rush throughout the game. We were super excited and prepped ourselves with extra shots of espresso just to be laser focused for this game. This is probably one of those games that you'll see the most variations of facial expressions from the players. We were laughing, confused, "wowed", amazed, and shocked within this short 60 minutes of time.

Hypno Dive came a long way since the first game where they packed a lot of creative ideas in one game but there was too much information for players to remember and utilize. This version was a lot cleaner and much easier for the players to navigate. If your focus is mostly on puzzles then you might think this is more for beginners but if you love to experience something so unique that you'll probably never forget, then you might want to give this a shot. It felt like video game with amazing graphics but instead of controlling a fake character you're control a real life person. Our team scored 4500 as our final score with full health (mainly because we were too scared of the Chickman). I would definitely advise to be a bit more adventurous since you do have 3 lives and who knows what you'll encounter during this eccentric journey.
