📖 THE STORY

Time is running out at RYCO’s Island, a prison in New York's East River. Tomorrow, you're set for execution after a wrongful first-degree murder conviction. You've been crafting an escape plan, learning from past failed attempts to create what you believe is a perfect strategy. With your final meal just served, you have one hour before the warden returns. Make it count.

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

• Having experienced numerous prison escape rooms, we have often been separated for collaborative tasks. However, this particular escape room stood out for its realism. The tasks required for escape were so ingeniously designed that we completely immersed ourselves, forgetting it was just a game.

• A prop we constructed during the game resulted in a special effect that provided a memorable "wow" moment.

• Our favorite aspect was the experience of navigating through the escape rooms as if we were truly escaping. Unlike most rooms that offer a single surprise, this one was filled with multiple unexpected elements.

• Teamwork was heavily emphasized, aligning perfectly with the collaborative nature of the escape theme.

• The game's puzzle designs effectively utilized available props and required us to observe and recall information, aiding in our escape strategy.

• Just as we believed we had escaped, the game presented a final challenge with limited time remaining, providing an exhilarating adrenaline rush. Successfully completing the game with seconds to spare was immensely satisfying.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

• One of the logic puzzles caused some confusion due to its wording regarding the elimination of certain individuals.

• At one point during the game, we believed we had successfully escaped, yet it was unclear why we needed to "re-enter". This may have been influenced by the spatial constraints faced by the designers. This was the only aspect of the game that left us uncertain.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

Wow, the creators of these escape rooms must be absolute movie buffs! Does this storyline ring a bell? If you've seen "The Shawshank Redemption" (and if not, go watch it!), you'll know exactly what I mean. It's incredible to immerse ourselves in this movie-like experience and feel what Andy and Ellis felt in those intense moments. Brandon and I had some intense planning and teamwork as we strategized our escape, hunting for tools and physically crafting our escape plan! We had to plan meticulously, figure out the guard's schedule, and even consider the guard dogs. The creators thought of every possible real-life scenario, making this game feel astonishingly authentic! This was definitely one of the top games we've enjoyed out of the four at this location. You absolutely have to try escaping from this unbelievably secure prison to understand what we're raving about! Best of luck!
