📖 THE STORY
After Team Alpha fails to steal the infamous "Steamhammer", a nuclear weapon the Ohm Dynasty uses to seize power over the world, you as part of Team Bravo are tasked to take up the initiative. You must infiltrate their Express train, traverse the carriages, find the weapon, and destroy it before anyone notices you on board…
🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
As always the set design of The Imaginarium is top notch. I felt like I was on a train down to the sounds of the room. Small details are spread throughout that make exploring the room a real treat amongst the clues you must unravel.
Puzzles make excellent use of space across the room. It encourages people to spread out and work together to solve a puzzle rather than divide and conquer separate puzzles. This means each player could be part of every puzzle solving moment.
There is amazing variety with the puzzles from logic to pattern recognition that allows for different playing styles.
The final 15% has such a good delivery in tension! No spoilers but those final puzzles really felt satisfying as we all worked together!
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
You can accidentally miss a step that means something doesn’t trigger so make sure to complete all steps.
A couple of the puzzles were more of a memorization activity than actual puzzling.

"The Steampunk Express" proves to be a truly amazing escape room experience that keeps players engaged from start to finish. I felt it truly immerses players and ensures everyone is fully active in the game throughout every step. After playing all the games at The Imaginarium this is easily the best one of the lot! This is definitely a game everyone should try!

Parking is available in the back. There are currently 3 rooms in this facility with another in the works (summer 2023 with Microsoft!). Private room is available for events with snacks and drinks ($100 per hour).
