ARRR! We are excited to embark on Trapped Puzzle Rooms' newest adventure, "Pirate's Plunder"! Can we break the curse and escape with all the loot?
This time we had the pleasure of having Mark (main designer for all the games) as the game master. Just like "Super Squad" and "Heist Heist Baby", this game was also played over Discord. story graphics were sent over the discord chat and we were able to click on them to have a closer look.
The two elements that stood out for us with this game were the beautiful graphic designs and the innovative puzzles. It seemed like this game incorporated the most amount of graphics than any of the previous games we've played. We "traveled" from the pub to the merchant's shed to the dock to the fruit stand and finally set sail for the mysterious treasure island! Whereas some of their other games had more elements of imagination, this one was more puzzle based. Most of the puzzles in this game had one correct solution where as in their other games, the game master was able to accept a diversity of creative answers. As puzzlers by heart, this one really hit the spot for us. Of course we can't overlook the amusing jokes and riddles in the game as like we said in the previous reviews, laughter is a guaranteed ingredient in all Trapped Puzzle Rooms' games!
(If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!)
Disclosure: We thank Trapped Puzzle Rooms for comping our tickets for this game. Although a complimentary experience was generously provided, it does not impact our opinion on the review whatsoever.
