This Madame Tussauds is located at a very nice location in Fisherman’s Wharf. Between the wax museum, the dungeon attraction next door, and this escape room, you can definitely make a day out of it. Make sure to check out their ticket package deals! We went on a Monday and it seemed like there was a good amount of parking early in the morning on the streets. We are big fans of Madame Tussauds and have been to several in different areas of the world but never been to an escape room inside and we were very excited to see how it was done! Of course, they were able to utilize their specialty (wax) for stage setting for the escape room. Our game master was also very much in character right away as the warden of the jail cell. We were of course very bad prisoners trying to escape Alcatraz!

This game requires a min of 4 people normally but good thing we had plenty of coffee that day and was able to escape with plenty of time left. We felt pretty immersed with the cell design as right away we were transported and locked up in individual cells. This escape game definitely needs teamwork and without giving away too much, you will definitely feel the urgency to work towards escaping the cell as time goes by. There weren’t that many puzzles we felt that had to be solved so for expert players this may be on the easier side with four players but if you like the immersive feel of escaping a prison cell, it would definitely be worth trying out.

Overall, the game had a nice flow and stuck with the story throughout. We are excited to see what other new concepts Madame Tussauds would come out with as we know there’s a lot of potential in terms of what can be done along with the wax creations as well in terms of the “reality” feel of the wax characters and the set designs.
