After searching for 10 years, you've finally found the entrance to the secret lair of the Grand-Wizard Garius. Rumor has it, that the last remaining Dragon Egg is hidden within. Being that Garius is a powerful dark arts wizard, you know that the task of retrieving this egg isn't going to be easy. Will you get out in time?

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The puzzle flow was smooth throughout the game play. It's also great for teams as the puzzles were non-linear.

  • There's a good mixture of various types of puzzles in the room.

  • There were props in the room that looked like wizard's prized possessions from centuries ago, especially the magic books.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • There's a decoder that we didn't end up using since we solve the puzzle by deduction. I wonder if that could be avoided somehow as it did cause confusion for us with the left over clue.

  • This room had a safe that required a code and a key but the other room that we played opened with just the code. It might help to keep it consistent especially if players are playing both rooms back to back and this could be confusing as to how the box operates.

  • Props such as a safe might not go with the wizard theme but perhaps decorating the outside to make it more like a wizard's treasure chest might resolve this issue.

  • The ambiance of the room doesn't feel like a wizard's lair. We suggest dimming the lights and adding in some music.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

This escape room was build in-house with minimal tech involved. There's a lot of locks and keys and it's perfect for beginners and traditional escape room lovers. The owner has informed us that the demographic for his region are mostly beginners and the rooms are used a lot for corporate events. We can definitely feel that the puzzles are on the easier side for enthusiast. Although at first glance it may seem everything is in the open, it might not be as easy as it seems to locate the hidden chamber of the Dragon Egg. Ready to take on this challenge?
