📖 THE STORY

You’ve been specially invited to Dino Kingdom — the world’s first dinosaur-inhabited park — for an exclusive VIP behind-the-scenes experience. But beyond the gates, something has gone terribly wrong. Deep inside the restricted Raptor Centre, scientists have achieved the impossible: bringing dinosaurs back to life. Now alarms are blaring, systems are failing and a violent storm is closing in on the island.

With the park on the brink of disaster, the fate of Dino Kingdom is in your hands. Explore the Professor’s abandoned research cabin, uncover hidden secrets, solve cryptic puzzles, crack complex codes and restore power before it’s too late. Because if you fail, the dinosaurs won’t stay contained for long…

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The immersion in this room is outstanding, The way that tech has been used to keep the story evolving is brilliant – and certainly keeps you on your toes – we were genuinely in awe at some points of the game!

  • The puzzle variety is something that really stood out to us. Yes, there are indeed the traditional padlocks and codebreaking, but this game had a whole lot more; Things that look simply like props, aren’t. Puzzles that don’t look like they should be puzzles. Tangible stuff to move around – it really got the puzzle juices flowing!

  • Speaking of puzzles, this game was packed full of them. And whilst individually I wouldn’t say that they are exceptionally tricky, the volume of puzzles was something as a designer I would be very proud of. It is definitely not a game to dawdle on!

  • Something that Clue Cracker do really well, is keep things “on theme”., and this game is no exception. The puzzles weave seamlessly into the environment, and it genuinely doesn’t feel like this is just an escape room environment. The set design is fab, and whilst the play area isn’t huge, you are fully immersed into the world of the Dino Kingdom.

  • Final high point for us is the sense of urgency that this game creates. The use of sound and lighting to push you through the game and create additional tension is brilliant – did I shout at my son louder than usual and tell him to stop dragging his heels?! – you bet I did!

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • Whilst generally this game was as good as faultless in my eyes, the only aspect that I may have tweaked was the audio levels. Whilst the loudness of the effects in one area was 100% required for impact purposes, an instructional video was a little too loud and made for slightly difficult listening. But that is just me being uber critical – given the amazing design experience, this made very little difference to how much we enjoyed the game.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

Clue Cracker in Tunbridge Wells, UK, is known for its outstanding games, and having been lucky enough to have played all their previous experiences, I jumped at the chance to play this gem – it was ROAR-some!

Tunbridge Wells is thriving, and has a wealth of fantastic bars, restaurants and shops all just seconds from Clue Cracker’s prominent high street position – there’s even an indoor crazy golf experience just next door.

The game is a fast paced, immersive, puzzle packed experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. The Gamemaster was very attentive, and gave clues using a computer screen which sat seamlessly within the game, and wasn’t a break from the immersion.

I would recommend the game for families with children, maybe not as their first escape room experience, given the pace of the game and some of the louder effects, however those from say 8 and above would be blown away by this game.

The great use of both new tech and old school puzzling was a great touch, and allowed our puzzling brains a good work out. The way that everything sits within the set is fantastic, and it truly feels like you’ve entered the dinosaur research facility – without spoilers its quite tricky to explain, however stage 2 of this game really showed the passion that went into making this an immersive experience, yet still keeping puzzling at the heart of the game.

All-in-all, yet another amazing game from the team at Clue Cracker – I tip my hat once again!
