📖 THE STORY

An urban legend speaks of the infamous train robber known as The Rattlesnake, who boldly killed the sheriff and escaped with the town's money. Your team will travel back in time to the Slocum School House to unravel the fate of the sheriff and reveal the true identity of this enigmatic bandit.

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

We were thrilled with how the game began. The dark lighting compelled players to focus on the story. The narrative was incredibly creative, waiting on a bench like tourists at an abandoned saloon site, waiting for the tour to begin. As soon as the story unfolded, the lights came on, signaling the start of the game. This was a lot immersive than to a typical TV introduction.
This game is expertly designed for a divide and conquer strategy. We tackled different tasks from the outset, but the moment we had to collaborate on the items we collected to advance was seamlessly integrated with our progress.
The game continually amazed us with the twists and turns of the set design. We did not foresee the latter part of the game at all. The misdirection was flawlessly executed, cleverly concealing the entrance to the next room.
As we played, we also absorbed some history about old-time outlaws. The storyline was beautifully intertwined with the theme, and the props were perfectly aligned with it.
There was a moment in the game where we were truly "wowed" by the transition, as the reveal with the sound and lighting caught us completely off guard.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

A particular prop proved challenging to maneuver, especially for considerate players. Placing the hint closer to or directly on the prop could effectively resolve this issue.
We recommend replacing the non-functioning prop with something else if it cannot be repaired, or using it purely as decor while relocating the intended awarding item elsewhere, as it currently feels like an unearned freebie.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

We've played a ton of Western-themed rooms before, and this one is absolutely top-notch! Its unique storyline, combined with the surprising elements of the set design, amps up the mystery and makes uncovering the secrets behind the treasures left by the Serpents incredibly thrilling! The mini puzzles are a blast, making us feel like eager school students being tested on various subjects, only to find the reward is something we never expected. The story unfolds as you solve the puzzles, keeping you on your toes until the very end. Plus, the set design is so cinematic! It's perfect for Texas, so channel your inner cowboy or cowgirl and see if you can crack this mystery! Yee-haw!
