Game: The Queen's Stolen Jewels

Genre: Action, Adventure

Difficulty (based on 4 players): 6.5/10

Size of Team: Recommended 2-4

Hour Glass Escape's audio escape rooms established their story line around sending you as special forces agent X, into various different missions. The puzzles were embedded inside PDFs that were presented along with a story narration by your live host. Our first mission was to recover "The Queen’s Stolen Jewels".

We enjoyed the creativity of giving "tools" that we could utilize as agents in order to solve certain puzzles. Even though this was a virtual room, the creator was trying to mimic what could've been done in a real escape room or real life situation. We enjoyed the puzzles and the story line. It would be great if the artwork could be improved along with some sound effect. We also think some video elements could help enhance the experience. With the 4 of us we were able to get out with around 20 minutes left on the clock. There were a good amount of puzzles and kept us busy for the entire time. The creator did inform us after that the artwork would be reworked on so when you book, you might see something different that what we have posted here. We can't wait to see a revamped version of these mission series!

Game: Underwater Extraction

Genre: Action, Adventure

Difficulty (based on 2 players): 8/10

Size of Team: Recommended 2-4

"Underwater Extraction" was the second mission that we tried. This time we had just the two of us and was able to escape with 2:14 left on the clock. This was definitely a harder mission with more puzzles. Group of 4 seemed to be the best size for this game. Our review for this game would be very similar to what we've written for the game above. The story line was more entertaining for us with this story and there were more "rooms" to go through. We hope with the new visuals and sound effects, this could be enjoyed at a more immersive level.

(If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!)
