I liked the design of the website for the game, as well as the images for the riddles. It was clean and easy to understand how to play. Even though the story was so simple, I felt immersed in the game because there were videos that showed the scenes of the game as I moved on.

You can play the game entirely online. No kit or printing is required. You need to purchase the game through the website to play it. The game is playable with any device that connects to the internet. I recommend playing it with a PC.

If you play it with friends remotely, each player must purchase the game separately. There is no system to connect players within the game. Communication tools like Zoom are required to communicate with your teammates.

The story was like an escape room, but no searching or matching pieces of information, the process that is usually required in escape rooms, was involved. The game was linear. The task was to solve the various types of riddles that appeared on my screen at each step. Most of the riddles were straightforward. When I got stuck, the hints were helpful. I felt a sense of accomplishment when I solved some of them. Because the videos and images of riddles created the atmosphere of being locked in the library, I felt immersed in the game world. What I loved the most about this game was that it was cost-effective. It was easy and accessible to jump into the game. I loved that I could casually start the game anytime I desired.

“Locked! The Library” was a fun game to purely solve riddles in a setting like an escape room. This game is a perfect brain-teasing game for 1-2 players, probably not for a large group. All you need to solve riddles is logic and insight. The game is easy to access. So, if you have some free time, why don’t you lock yourself in the library and solve fun riddles?
