🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The transformations of set design for each "chapter" clearly depicted scenes from the Arabian Nights. You might even see a starry night!

  • There was a light puzzle in the latter part of the room that we hadn't seen used in the same way before in other escape rooms.

  • The finale gave a satisfying reveal.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • One of the clues felt like it was randomly placed on a wall. It could be designed better to go with the theme. Brandon had seen this type of puzzle before so we accidentally solved this one first and skipped a few puzzles. If this clue could be hidden on a paper until later on, this could be avoided.

  • Some of the illustrated clues in this room were a bit hard to interpret. We had to ask for clarification after the game but it wasn't as obvious to us during the gameplay.

  • Some locks used in the game felt out of place with the theme.

  • It takes a lot of time to type our hints to the GM and wait for them to type back. We feel like this type of cluing takes us out of the immersion that we are in. Hopefully, the clue system could be changed in the future.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

This room is one of their older rooms. In comparison, this game felt less organized in terms of puzzles and game flow. There was no storyline but that could be easily rectified. The props in the room also could use a facelift. However, they are currently working on a new room right now and we're excited to see what that's all about. Once Upon An Escape is where I have to stop to refuel on my magical fairy dust whenever we are back in Vegas!
