📖 THE STORY

In a dystopian future, bandits roam the wilderness. A utopia exists, but the rescue transmitter is offline. Your mission is to reactivate it and send a signal to the helicopter overhead within 60 minutes. Stay undetected to avoid a grim fate. Act swiftly and silently to ensure success.

🎯  HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • The set design gives off a Mad Max vibe, with its machinery and remnants of rags and tarps creating an authentic wasteland atmosphere. This perfectly complements the storyline of the outlaws.

  • The game masters equipped everyone with a torch, which proved invaluable in the dimly lit room. Unlike some games that intentionally limit resources, this approach ensured all players could actively participate.

  • The final objective was unmistakable: a central controller awaited in the middle of the room. Once all the transmitter pieces were operational, we could confidently send the final signal.

  • A visual clue added an intriguing layer to a puzzle, making it exciting to solve. The special effect accompanying the reveal was highly engaging for the players.

🧩  MISSED THE MARK

  • Some parts of the set design initially suggests an opportunity for exploration, but it ultimately serves as mere surface decor, which was disappointing.

  • Players might find the frequent need to "hide" during gameplay frustrating, especially when pressed for time. Reducing these moments could enhance the experience, as they seemed to unnecessarily extend our playtime. Additionally, if the voices offered hints or clues for solving puzzles instead of engaging in irrelevant conversation, it would make the game more engaging.

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

This game introduced a character element that enriched the storyline beyond typical escape rooms with puzzles. However, we feel that this character wasn't fully utilized to its potential. Its interactions were too frequent and repetitive, often involving the same tasks for players. If the game designer could incorporate more puzzle elements or varied interactions with the character, each serving a distinct purpose, it could elevate the game significantly. The current setup is ideal for beginners, offering ample time to complete tasks, especially for groups like ours that follow instructions well. We should definitely congratulate ourselves for successfully transmitting signals without a single noise level warning!
