Starting the game off, there was not a big introduction to the characters or the story. I just got to dive right in. The game is a point-click game but of course the key is knowing what to click and how to interact with the environment. The first station does offer an in-game tutorial on the controls and what kind of things you can do in the game.

You will want to play with the volume up as there is a great soundtrack to go with this game and if you followed Rusty Lake’s design notes, there was a lot of effort put into it. The shadowy tone of the music fits right along with the gameplay.

If you are familiar with the Rusty Lake games, there were so many entertaining references and easter eggs to the other games, some that have meaning to the Rusty Lake lore and some that are just fun to see.

Rusty Lake also kept me coming back to play this game multiple times by adding achievements that could be acquired through multiple playthroughs. There was also a secret ending that takes a lot of sleuthing and some out of game knowledge and content to get to but if you are a fan of Rusty Lake, it is an absolute must do.

There were many creative puzzles throughout the game. One of the key aspects of the game was looking at the surroundings and inventory to see how to interact with the environment. At times there were also some common logic puzzles to solve or ones that require me to play around and see if I could figure out the rules. The signposting and ramping of the difficulty was excellent as well. I was able to make it through the first couple of stations with no difficulty but took a little more time on the latter ones.

As a huge Rusty Lake fan, their games never disappoint. The story was mysterious and I was enthralled as I went down a rabbit hole to find all the secrets behind the game. The puzzles were clever and different, using the point click and inventory mechanic well. If this is your first Rusty Lake game, you may not be able to follow the whole story but hopefully it piques your interest to check out their other games. If you are a Rusty Lake follower, then you will not be disappointed with this game and all the enigmas it carries.
