📖 THE STORY
Preventing a lethal virus outbreak is within your grasp. A terrorist organization plans to release the virus in four major global cities, but you have already uncovered the illegal lab and control center. It's imperative to stop the spread, analyze the virus's composition, and understand its impact on DNA to develop a vaccine. The world's fate is in your hands, and every moment counts!
🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
The space was expertly designed to accommodate multiple players. Although an initial puzzle benefits from a smaller group collaboration, other puzzles were quickly solved, granting swift access to the lab area. The lab provided an abundance of puzzles for the team to divide and conquer.
Our favorite was a mixology puzzle that made us feel like scientists concocting a secret formula.
Once we identified the final item needed, connecting the necessary elements from other puzzle solutions was straightforward. They seamlessly combined to complete the meta puzzle.
Some puzzles required team communication, which was especially enjoyable when working from separate areas.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
One of the puzzles feels like a "simplified" version of a previously effective puzzle, now reduced to a straightforward observance task for code entry. It initially caused some confusion as the inputs didn't work until we tried it a couple of times.
The storyline became unclear as we progressed through the game. While the main objective is to obtain the vaccine, the connection of all the puzzles to this goal remains uncertain.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
This room was a blast because it had all sorts of puzzles, so if you go with a group, everyone can show off their skills. There were physical puzzles, tactile ones, logic-based challenges, and ones that just needed a keen eye. The set design had a bit of a spooky vibe, but it wasn't scary. The puzzles weren't super hard, so even newbies can give it a shot. If this genre isn't really your thing, The Escape Game Oslo has loads of other options.
