📖 THE STORY

Jack Calico Rackham is one of the most famous pirates in the world and has sailed many seas, searching for the most coveted treasures! With time, he managed to become the richest one on Earth and you and your friends were proud to be part of his crew. Unfortunately, it is never good to be a renown pirate and of course a bounty was put on top of Jack Rackham’s head. The Marine of England, led by James Barnett, has intercepted your ship: you are now their prisoners. They give you two choices: either you are sentenced to death by hanging, either you help them find Rackham’s hidden treasure…

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

The set is really nice, you feel like you are inside of a ship: the furniture is pretty realistic.
The puzzles are well-integrated and very logical.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

As a first-generation escape room (the first from Trip Trap) it would be unfair to compare with the most recent ones, but in my opinion it could be a better experience with more puzzles (the lack of space may be the main reason for this). As experienced players, we finished in 22 minutes without any hint and without the intention of rushing the room, we would have loved to enjoy it more. 😊

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

It is a single-room escape game that suits beginners. If you are quite experienced, even if some interactions are original, you may feel a bit disappointed (puzzles are pretty easy and overall there is no real difficulty if you don’t miss any item while searching). I would recommend 3-4 players maximum as the room is pretty small (probably 3 for the best experience).

There are some white and blue parking spots in front of the building
There are stairs and an elevator to get access to the lobby
Trip Trap asks to arrive 15 mins in advance if possible so you can enjoy the full experience
Pregnant women can take part to the adventure (if not too close to the term) and a chair can be installed by the game master upon request for comfort. For people with physical disabilities, unfortunately it is not suitable for wheelchairs, but crutches are fine
The lobby is pretty big and there are comfortable seats/couches while you wait. You can store your belongings in separated closets
This game can be played in French or in English
No drinks or food unfortunately: the Catalpa bar is only available at the GRAND TRIP TRAP HOTEL. You may still ask for a glass of water or syrup (free)
