ERM was created by two psychology PHD's and offers four rooms in (two in South Melbourne/ two in Flemington). The room that we are scheduled for is "Kellar's Magic Emporium" at the South Melbourne location. When you enter inside ERM, you will travel down a hallway to enter the waiting area which has a couch and some pretty cool decor. Once you step inside of the "Kellar's Magic Emporium" room, you can already detect a bit of eeriness. The walls are decorated in all red w/ posters and toys spread out across the room. There were some unique puzzles challenges that we hadn't encountered before. There wasn't too much tech incorporated into the room, but the puzzles correlated w/ the storyline throughout the whole experience. Woodbury Escape Rooms has four rooms total and we are booked for their "Leaper" room which was highly recommended by them. "Leaper" is rated one of their hardest and scariest rooms that they offer. The objective is to enter the mind of a killer to save the last victim. You start off separated in this room so communication is extremely important. There are a lot of various challenges in this room that require a particular set of skills. Our experience was quite enjoyable as it forced us to really work together to solve our puzzles. The design was quite impressive as it had us fully immersed from the beginning. There was a little bit of technology incorporated into their challenges that went along well w/ the storyline. Also, this room offers a special easter egg if you are able to collect all the pieces that you need to unlock it. ** UPDATE - We regret to inform that "Woodbury Escape Rooms" has closed. • Breakout Waikiki - "Patient 57"

LOCATION: Waikiki, Hawaii, USA Photo above is property of Breakout Waikiki Photo above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers πŸ“ ETR DECODER πŸ”‘ GAME: Patient 57 πŸ“… DATE PLAYED: July 17, 2021 🎬 GENRE: Asylum 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 3 ppl): 7.5/10 πŸ‘₯ TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: 2-8 ppl πŸ•’ LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins πŸ’° PRICE: $32.00/ pp (Min. 4 ppl) ☎️ BOOKING TYPE: Private πŸ”“ ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes πŸ“– THE STORY Stuck, trapped, imprisoned; your group has been subject to mental experiments for what seems like years now. All of a sudden, during an emergency, you see your chance and squirrel away to the doctors office hoping to escape. It is here that you will be solving puzzles and cracking the codes to find the door key to unlock freedom from the illegal experiments performed upon you and your fellow patients. Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE This room will have your team scrambling and solving puzzles in many nooks and corners of the space provided. Initial thoughts when walking into the first room led us to believe that we were in a large doctors office. Posters of the skeleton, desks and cabinets with locks to keep prying eyes away from everything a morally questionable doctor would have while testing and experimenting all led to the immersion of being in a Russian β€œhospital”. It was a mad rush to complete everything in this room..and the next room...and the next room. The game kept surprising our team with new areas that were well hidden until we unlocked the proper codes. It kept to its theme and provided a setting that was believable, a place where we could have been trapped ourselves. To keep with the immersion, every fifteen minutes or so (to let us know how much time is left) our radio communicator would announce an update on the emergency evacuation process and how close the doctor is to coming back. This small little detail in the room gives us a greater sense of urgency and increases the need to get out of this metaphorical jail cell. There is a lot to do in the hour while the group is in the doctor's office and with its nonlinear puzzles it would be best to start to divide and conquer. There are puzzles that require teamwork, others that use some intellectual thinking, and some even have you playing games with the very technology that has been tested on you for so long. Most of the puzzles flow in a way so that each step per individual puzzle makes sense and with a little bit of thinking and creativity to solve each. Having a good mix between physical puzzles and logical puzzles was a welcome addition to the game. It will give players of all backgrounds an opportunity to excel in the type they solve the best. This whole space is connected and do not think that a piece of information is not needed, if it looks important, it will most likely be. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK The biggest criticism of the game is the storyline’s interconnectivity with the puzzles that one has to complete. The puzzles that are put into the game are in the world the creators made but we didn’t find out too much more about the reason why β€œour group” was chosen to be experimented on through their solutions, solving them gave us the keys to the next riddle in the list. (Update from the creators 8/16/21: Patient 57 is the sequel to Room 13. If you did not play that game, it would make sense why some of the context was missing of why you were doing the puzzles in the first place! We wanted the game to work stand-alone, but we also wanted platers of the first game to feel like it was Part 2). 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? The venue is located along the main strip of Waikiki Beach and there are plenty of shops and places to explore. Parking can be a little chaotic but Breakout offers validated parking for 4 hours at the Embassy Suites garage. Accessibility in Patient 57 is not available to all. There are a couple locations where a step up is needed and crawling must be available. Completing this game with three players, we got out with only seconds remaining. There is a lot packed into this game and it was one of the harder (but fair) games I have completed in sometime. If you are in Honolulu and looking for an escape game, you will not be disappointed with the experience given by Breakout Waikiki! ℹ️ ADDITIONAL INFO: Paid parking lot near by Lobby with waiting area Photos above are properties of Breakout Waikiki ** UPDATE - We regret to inform that "Breakout Waikiki" has closed. • Mister. E Escape Rooms - "The Emperor's Masterchef Is Dead"

LOCATION: Chrisolora, Athens, Greece Photo above is property of Mister.E Escape Rooms Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers πŸ“ ETR DECODER πŸ”‘ GAME: The Emperor's Masterchef Is Dead πŸ“… DATE PLAYED: April 6, 2022 🎬 GENRE: Mystery 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl): 6.5/10 πŸ‘₯ TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: Up to 6 ppl πŸ•’ LENGTH OF TIME: 70 Mins. πŸ’° PRICE: €38/ pp (2 ppl) ☎️ BOOKING TYPE: Private πŸ”“ ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes πŸ“– THE STORY The Emperor's MasterChef is dead! Now, as the new chefs in town, we must learn to satisfy the emperor by preparing his favorite dishes. Fail to do so will lead to punishments and we definitely don't want to be beheaded! Let's fire up that stove! Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE This escape room has a very unique storyline and being that it's set in the ancient times in China, there's a mysteriousness right from the beginning! The set was designed to resemble chambers inside a traditional China empire. Mostly wooden furniture with kitchen utensils and spices. Other than the set design, you'll also experience lighting and even some fog during the game play that makes you feel like you've been transported into a dream state. There are several "stages" that we needed to complete based on the emperor's required dishes. The urgency that was created by sound and count down really had us running and jumping at our feet feeling like we might be facing punishment any second. It was nice to see how some puzzles were utilized differently than the normal way we are used to seeing them in an escape room. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK A good amount of this room was based on searching for clues or items to complete the puzzles. Due to the smoke and the dim lighting in the room, some things were a bit hard to read. We suggest giving a torch to the players so they can easily input codes and see the details needed for the puzzles. One color puzzle in particular didn't seem to match up to the paper clue provided. One of the items also didn't match up to the initial picture that was presented to us. We suggest doing some up-keeping to the props in the room to avoid confusion. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This room is great for family and beginner players. The room was quite spacious for a large group. The puzzles were not too difficult but we had a lot of fun being chefs and pleasing the "emperor". The heart beating moment when we're about to find out if we passed his test or if we were going to be beheaded was definitely exciting. If you do fail at the meal prep, you might still be given one last chance to escape, so don't give up last minute! ℹ️ ADDITIONAL INFO This location is situated on a busy street. We didn't see any available parking. Your best bet is to take a taxi or public transportation. Lobby with seating area Located on the 2nd floor (elevator available) Small selection of games to purchase and if you want more puzzles after the escape room, the owner is also the creator of the puzzle book series "Trip 1907"! Escape Room Orlando. Get Out! is a fairly new company which opened last year w/ two rooms to start - "Origins" and "Escape Artist". They have plans to open three more rooms - "Snatched', "Mind Games", and "Doomsday". The interesting thing about all five of these rooms is that they are all connected (storyline-wise). We were fortunate enough to meet with 2 of the 4 co-owners of the company to learn more about the company. The developers are true story tellers and they made sure that each room delivered an experience that kept you involved. The lobby area is fairly empty at the moment and the bathroom is shared w/ the rest of the building's other companies. The hallways are very clean and very well maintained. The room that we are scheduled for is the "Escape Artist" room which is based on Harry Houdini. As soon as we started entered, we were very impressed w/ the design of the room. The puzzles were well thought out and correlated w/ the storyline perfect! We look forward to returning once the remaining 3 rooms have been finished. Our first escape room location on the island is at "Breakout Waikiki". This new location of "Breakout Waikiki" would be considered prime in real estate terminology. Located right on Kalakaua Ave, there's tons of shopping and things to do. Although parking could be an issue, you can valet park at the "Embassy Suite by Hilton" right across the street from them and they will validate your parking. So you can park there for 4 hours for $6.00. We were grateful that the manager was able to meet with us bright and early at 8:30am for our first game. Since this new location just opened, they are still trying to beta-test and prepare all of their other games for the public. We tried the only game that was available at the time - "Y2K". The storyline featured a computer bug that takes down networks all around the world and we have to reset the system before midnight. We felt that the puzzles were a little weak in terms of the connection with the storyline. At the end, we were confused on what the end goal was since the puzzles within the game didn't have much to do with the storyline. There were some cool design aspects of the room towards the end which we enjoyed. The incorporation of music into the game design was enjoyable especially for the 90's music lover in us. We felt that if the storyline correlated with the puzzles more, this could be a stronger room. We had two people for this room and couldn't finish the last puzzle in time. We suggest 3-4 people is a good amount in order to tackle this room since there are puzzles that could be completed seperately. We also had the privilege to take a sneak peek of their "The Hero" room at the new location. We were very intrigued as that room design looks very immersive and instantly provided that "eerie" feeling even before playing. We heard great things about "Breakout Waikiki" and their room design and puzzles prior to coming to Hawaii and felt that perhaps "Y2K" may not be the best representation of their rooms. However, we would love to try their other games one day when we get to return back to this beautiful island! • Cyber Raccoon Escape Room - "Train Robbery"

LOCATION: Falls Church, Virginia, USA Photo above is property of Cyber Raccoon Escape Room Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers πŸ“ ETR DECODER πŸ”‘ GAME: Train Robbery πŸ“… DATE PLAYED: February 28, 2021 🎬 GENRE: Adventure 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl): 6/10 πŸ‘₯ TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: 2-8 ppl πŸ•’ LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins. πŸ’° PRICE: $26.00 - $50.00/ pp (pending on group size) ☎️ BOOKING TYPE: Private πŸ”“ ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes πŸ“– THE STORY It's the 19th century, and you've embarked upon the gold rush in the western frontier. There has been a robbery aboard the transcontinental railway which carries massive shipments and transports millions of dollars of Gold from California to Washington, DC. The criminals made off with over $6M into the mountains. Because the precision of how the heist was executed and the necessity of the powerful weapon required to perform, this has now become a matter of national security. You are part of a team called the Pinkerton National Detective Agency and your mission is to find the thieves, retrieve the gold, and investigate the nature of the secret weapon that they used during the heist. Video above is property of Cyber Raccoon Escape Room 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE "Train Robbery" was quite generous in terms of space usage! It actually feels like you've stepped inside of a real saloon from back in the 19th century. There's a full bar w/ stools, roulette table, piano, card game table, and a stage! The set design took into consideration all of the things that you would find inside this type of establishment. You can tell the creators took time to find these authentic pieces. I had to keep reminding myself that we were on the clock because there were a couple of times that I was ready to hop on a stool and order an "Old Fashioned"! In regards to the puzzles, there was so many variations of physical and logic puzzles. There's some clever ways in which the maglocks were used to reveal surprises that we've encountered throughout the room. I really felt that detective vibe since the objective was quite clear and each puzzle that we solved gave us another piece of the mystery. Ultimately it felt like a deduction game mixed with a strong narrative. Since we started playing escape rooms back in 2018, storylines and themes have become extremely repetitive. We've played a good amount of western saloon-type games and usually involve a bandit heist or "find the gold" storyline objective. Don't let the title - "Train Robbery" fool you because it is so much more than that! The plot twist was definitely unexpected and one of my favorite parts about this game. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK There isn't much to criticize about "Train Robbery" since it was a really solid game. The only thing that we could suggest is if the door to the entrance of the saloon could also be designed to fit the theme? Perhaps adding another puzzle to having us figure out how to get into the saloon (maybe with a secret code or knock) would be a cool addition to add on to the already very immersed room. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? Cyber Raccoon Escape Room Fairfax, DC is one of those companies that you hear really amazing things about and when you finally get to play the game, it actually lives up to the hype! "Train Robbery" is an escape room built around a strong narrative (which is pretty rare to see) but also paired with awesome puzzles. There were so many different types of obstacles to overcome that it felt like you became a character in the story once you entered that room. Nothing is typical in this room and we're glad that we had a chance to draw our own conclusions and witness first hand what everyone else was raving about! LOCATION: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Photo above is property of MindEscape πŸ“ ETR DECODER πŸ”‘ GAME: Jack the Ripper πŸ“… DATE PLAYED: March 1, 2019 🎬 GENRE: Horror 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 4 ppl): 6/10 πŸ‘₯ TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: 2-8ppl πŸ•’ LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins. πŸ’° PRICE: $35.00 - $39.00/pp ☎️ BOOKING TYPE: Private πŸ”“ ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers Our last stop for today is at MindEscape in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Parking in the area is a little bit tricky especially during the weekend. Recently they just partnered up with a parking lot that's 1 block away so you can easily park the car for 3 Hours for $10. Although the facility is in a sub-level, there is a ramp for handicap accessibility. We were fortunate enough to meet with the owner/ developer to learn more about the company. They currently have two rooms available with a third on the way - "Alice In Wonderland: In the Nick of Time". We are trying both rooms today starting with the "Jack the Ripper" room followed by "Thai Prison". They have a great location with plenty to do in the area. The lobby/ waiting area is cozy with plenty of seating available with puzzles to occupy you while you wait. We were paired with another couple and we each started with a blindfold and handcuffs. The room design was quite impressive and provided an eerie feel to it. The puzzle challenges could've been a little bit clearer in correlation with the storyline. Unfortunately, the group that was in our room before us broke one of the locks and we weren't able to experience that puzzle. Also, we figured out the correct code for another lock and it wouldn't open. The game master had to come in and try it a few times himself to get it to open. There were some red herrings in the room but nothing too derailing. We managed to escape with time to spare. However, we didn't really get a sense of completion once the game ended. We wished there would've been a little bit more of a "wow" moment. After successfully escaping the "Jack the Ripper" room, we were starving and needed to eat something. Fortunately for us, we had an hour before out next and final room for the day. We stumbled upon an incredible Omakase place just a couple blocks away called "Sakana Japanese Cuisine" After refueling our system, we headed back in time for our next room - "Thai Prison Escape" which starts your group off into two separate parties. We were paired with two other people and they split us up to work with them. It was great for team building and compromising as we really needed to work together to escape. The puzzle design for this room was great! It actually felt like I was inside of a prison trying to escape using my surroundings. The storyline was very interesting and the puzzle challenges were creative. Obviously, since you are in a progressive type escape room, the game was linear from start to finish. Overall, we enjoyed "Thai Prison" more than "Jack the Ripper" mainly due to the flow of the gameplay. We can't wait to come back and try MindEscape's new room "Alice In Wonderland: In the Nick of Time" . Clock is ticking and you have to find the evidence in Room 118 in order to put this perpetrator away for good. Are you ready for the biggest case in your career yet? πŸ†ƒπŸ…·πŸ…΄ πŸ…ΆπŸ…°πŸ…ΌπŸ…΄ πŸ…ΏπŸ…»πŸ…°πŸ†ˆ This game is a point-n-click game played over the Telescape platform. We met on StreamYard and used that as our communication portal. Once we entered the platform, we're able to see each other's cursors. This game is synced in the sense that if one player collects an item or opens a lock, it'll update automatically for the other players. We started the game with an intro video followed by game rules. Be sure to read that carefully as we made the mistake of skimming through it and didn't realize that the cell phone in the game is actually for hints. The cell phone does ring during the game but that's just to give updates on the storyline (which was what got my attention and started looking at the functions in the phone). The "text" area is where you'll receive nudging hints until you get the actual solution. So during the game play, I thought I was receiving clues for puzzles from our agent headquarters until one of the players called out that those are actually hints. Good thing this was discovered quite early on and we only spoiled one puzzle solution. We've played a good amount of digital Telescape game by now but there's still minor differences between various companies on their designs. For this game, there's no text that we need to enter to combine the items. We like this design better as it made things more immersive and easier to operate. All you have to do is simply click and drag items that belong together over the same spot in the inventory box. πŸ†ƒπŸ…·πŸ…΄ πŸ…ΏπŸ†„πŸ†‰πŸ†‰πŸ…»πŸ…΄πŸ†‚ As we were able to roam freely on our own in this 360 view digital space, our team quickly separated and tackled on different puzzles as individual. This is one of the shortcomings that can't really be avoided in Telescape. You're not going to be able to solve every puzzle and you might even miss some puzzles if some players were solving it while you're in a different area. Our suggestion is to announce to your team what you're about to put in as a code and let them understand which clues you're using to solve this puzzle. It's best to progress as a team. This will avoid the confusion in the latter parts of the game as only that particular player would know what was used and what still remains to be utilized. There were interactive puzzles where we're able to rotate, drag and connect items that we've collected. It's best to assign one player to be the clicker and all the other players can still watch and contribute ideas. We found that it's counterproductive to have everyone click at the same time. This is a 90 minute room IRL and the owner already warned us before starting the game that the play time could be quite long. Just as we thought we were done, we would discover more places and puzzles. Since we are all enthusiasts, we are super happy for long periods of play time so there's absolutely no complains on that part. Our team finished in 1 hour and 14 minutes with one unintentional hint (my bad!). The ending was my favorite part of the game. We loved feeling the urgency from the countdown clock. We really felt the pressure and it was like we're there in real life. πŸ…²πŸ…»πŸ…ΎπŸ†‚πŸ…ΈπŸ…½πŸ…Ά πŸ†ƒπŸ…·πŸ…ΎπŸ†„πŸ…ΆπŸ…·πŸ†ƒπŸ†‚ Beverley Breakout used a lot of the tools in Telescape that we haven't seen used before to create some really fun puzzles. Although this game is quite long comparing to some of the other digital games we've played, the hour really just flew by when we were having so much fun. All I can say is, towards the end of the game we're all yelling "pinch, pinch!!!" on the top of our lungs. I was laughing so hard tears were coming out of my eyes. This is a memory you'll never forget! (If you do decide to try this game, give us a shoutout or tag us on social media so we know you heard it from "ESCAPETHEROOMers"!) We only have an hour to discover what happened to Dr. Popwell before Mrs. Young returns to her lab! 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE There were various types of puzzles in this room, which if you have a large group it would be very easy to spread out and work on multiple things at the same time. We enjoyed a surprising scenery change on the set design aspect in this room which was an improvement from their bunker room. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK It didn’t feel like a clear path as to what we were trying to solve in terms of the storyline. At the end, we might have found out what had happened to Dr. Popwell using our imaginations, but we did not have clear evidence from the story or puzzles to direct us there. A stronger ending puzzle reveal would help this element. Some props felt like they needed updating as some words or corners were worn out. We were surprised that we had to use a set of clues twice as our usual habit after playing many rooms was to put away items we’ve already used. This made us ask for a hint ultimately and of course only to find out we’re overthinking again. We felt that the red herring component could be removed since it didn’t add much value to the room and even though it was glued down, the players still were able to do damage to it. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This is a puzzle heavy room. If you are up for the challenge, come with 3 people or less. We do recommend at least 5-6 people for this room mainly because of the number of puzzles involved. Organization is the key to success for this room. Make sure you group things you think is relevant together. We had a lot of fun playing with our friends from RI Riddle Room and we look forward to seeing Curiosity Shop’s new creations! πŸ”Ž HINT Do you see anything different? ** UPDATE - We regret to inform you that "Curiosity Shop RI" has closed its doors. • HintHunt London - "The Golden Share"

LOCATION: London, England, United Kingdom Videos/ Photos property of ESCAPETHEROOMers πŸ“ ETR DECODER πŸ”‘ GAME: The Golden Share πŸ“… DATE PLAYED: October 14, 2019 🎬 GENRE: Mystery, Adventure 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 4 ppl): 6/10 πŸ‘₯ TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: 2-5 ppl πŸ•’ LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins. πŸ’° PRICE: Β£21.66-35/PP (pending on group size) ☎️ BOOKING TYPE: Private πŸ”“ ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes πŸ“– THE STORY The late inventor Sir Richard Jebson’s Golden Share went missing. Without it, his family cannot prove their rightful ownership of his company. We must help them locate the missing Golden Share. 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE Great job with creating β€œwow” moments in the room. First time we saw a β€œtransformation” take place inside of the room being done this way. Puzzles were enjoyable and had a great flow. Given that pretty much the entire room’s puzzles ran on tech, it was amazing how seamless it operated. Thoughtful placements of props which even remembered to give players a β€œworking space”. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK An empty space near the radiator in the first room seemed a bit out of place. Perhaps incorporate another puzzle or a dΓ©cor there? The walls felt a bit plain for the story line’s setting. Perhaps a bit more β€œyellowish” in color to set the β€œaged” tone for the timeline of the era of the story. One puzzle piece was a bit difficult for a shorter person (5 ft) to find. The room felt a bit bright and there’s not much of a change from the beginning to the latter. Perhaps a change in lighting or music could help with the immersion. Maybe a faster music tone to get the feel of urgency as time gets closer to the end. Some aspects of the room felt like more puzzles could be incorporated as there are β€œspaces” left for them. It would be interesting to see if a harder version could be created for enthusiasts. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? People with great observation skills will do well in this room. We feel that new players and enthusiasts would both enjoy this room for different reasons. There was a lot of β€œwow” moments that we as enthusiasts loved discovering. New players would definitely learn a lot of different puzzle solving techniques in this room. This is a great room for people who love to treasure hunt and solve mysteries. *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** ** We don't want to go into detail and ruin any surprises for you, but if you'd like more information on the room, feel free to email us. • HintHunt Budapest - "Submarine - Deepdown"

Location: Budapest, Hungary Videos/ Photos property of ESCAPETHEROOMers Date Played: 11/15/2019 Genre: Suspense, Action Difficulty Level based on 2PPL: 8.5/10 Total # of Players: 3-5 PPL Length of Time: 60 Minutes Price: $50.73/Game Public/Private: Private Escaped? Yes πŸ“– THE STORY We were crew members on a submarine. Suddenly, the engine stopped working and our submarine began to sink. We must restart the engine quickly and get ourselves back to surface! 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE Set design was pretty on point. We felt like we were in a real solid metal submarine. The mechanic displays were very detailed. There was even a periscope! If they could add some aspect of submarine windows or bubbles resembling the fact that we’re underwater, it would make the experience even more immersive. We always appreciate the game experience start before even entering the room. In this case, the entire outer wall was made to look like a submarine along with the lighting features. We enjoyed the final puzzle as it’s not just a normal exit. The physical element and the countdown atmosphere really made us feel like we were out of oxygen soon! 🧩 MISSED THE MARK This room was the first of its kind that we’ve seen that had a replay-able part I and part II in the same room. It’s designed in a way that all puzzle hints are outwardly displayed everywhere. We didn’t like this aspect as it created confusion for us during the game. We didn’t know if one particular puzzle was supposed to be solved with Part I or Part II. We kept going back on ones we didn’t solve only to find out later that it’s not for this part. Our suggestion is to label the puzzles with Part I and Part II if they decide to keep this component. It’s probably best to make it into a one game room to remove the confusion in total or to create an entirely different puzzle set that came be moved in and out of the rooms for part I and part II game setup. One puzzle required more than two players which the owner stepped in to assist us when time came. It was still difficult to solve and they eventually had to bypass it. We think this could be a bit of an annoying factor to players who may view this as a β€œtime killer” puzzle rather than a logical one. It would be great if it could be simplified or resigned. A decoder prop used for one of the puzzles had a hint display that was confusing to us. We were not able to see it from that perspective. It would be great if they can make the hint clearer to the players. Another time-consuming puzzle used way too much of a particular part of our bodies that after solving the puzzle you can feel a bit of tension in it. It may be uncomfortable for some players. We suggest cutting it a bit shorter. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? We’ve visited β€œHintHunt” for the first time back in London, UK. We were grateful to be able to meet the owner in Budapest for this game as it’s larger in terms of size and newer in terms of build than the one in UK. They have a great location as they are located in the basement of an amazing high-tech restaurant called β€œ"Kajahu Restaurant". We hope HintHunt Budapest will redecorate their lobby as soon as they have a huge space for event venues and a bar! With some tweaking on their puzzle design, this could be an awesome game. It’s venue and set design was definitely one of the best one we’ve visited in Budapest. We got out with the two of us with only seconds to spare on the clock as the confusing component of Part II added some time as well. We would suggest a team of 4 for an ideal game size. πŸ”Ž HINT Pull back for a different perspective. Additional Info Lobby with waiting area Street parking (we recommend public transportation) Located in the basement of "Kajahu Restaurant" You'll need to go down a flight of stairs in order to reach the lobby *** We regret to inform you that "Hint Hunt" has closed its doors.*** Disclosure: We thank HinHunt Budapest for comping our tickets for this game. However, this time the adversaries have taken the battle to you! While preventing Rafanica from obliterating another planet, your ship was severely damaged, and its main power source was stolen! To make matters worse, the space pirates are returning, and this time they aim to seize the entire ship. Fortunately, you have a backup power supply... somewhere. You have 60 minutes to find the backup power stone and escape! Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE The set design immediately captured our attention, making us feel as if we had been transported into a spaceship journeying through an unknown galaxy. The lighting and colors of the room significantly enhanced the players' sensory experience. We appreciated the variety of puzzles in this game. Unlike most spaceship games that focus on following orders to maneuver or repair the ship, this one challenged us with both logic and physical puzzles, allowing us to effectively divide and conquer based on our strengths. One of our favorite puzzles involved gathering necessary pieces from various challenges and assembling a decoded message to complete a multi-step logic puzzle. Solving it in one go was incredibly satisfying! The game concluded with a strong finale that aligned perfectly with the storyline, leaving us with a clear sense of accomplishment. The game flow was smooth from start to finish. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK Enhancing the storyline with details about our tasks and providing a checklist of what we are "repairing," along with titles for the stations, will significantly elevate the players' experience, making them truly feel like workers on a real spaceship. Visual clues require refinement for better visibility, and improving the clarity of the voice clues will ensure players understand exactly what needs to be done. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This room was a lot fun, featuring some interesting physical puzzles we've encountered in other escape rooms, but it was a thrill to see them integrated into this storyline! They fit the space theme perfectly. Here's a little tip from us veteran escapees: we noticed that a few props were used for multiple puzzles. It was a new way of thinking for us, so keep that in mind. Aside from that, we had an amazing time, especially spotting Easter Eggs from "Guardians of the Galaxy." If you're a fan of the movie, you're in for a treat! See how many pieces of memorabilia you can find! • Puzzle Theory - "Critical Countdown"

LOCATION: Middletown, Connecticut, USA Photo above is property of Puzzle Theory Photos above are property of Puzzle Theory πŸ“ ETR DECODER πŸ”‘ GAME: Critical Countdown πŸ“… DATE PLAYED: October 14, 2025 🎬 GENRE: Espionage, War, Thriller 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl): 7.5/10 πŸ‘₯ TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: 2-10 ppl πŸ•’ LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins. πŸ’° PRICE: $29.00/ pp (depending on group size) ☎️ BOOKING TYPE: Private πŸ”“ ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes πŸ“– THE STORY You are operatives of the counter-terrorism unit known as the Phoenix Initiative. Your team has information that the Crimson Shadow has infiltrated a decommissioned Russian base, code-named Red Medusa. Our intelligence suggests they are targeting the base's remaining nuclear arsenal. Your mission is to secure the mainframe, regain control of the weapons system, and prevent a global disaster. The urgency is critical as we believe they plan to launch a pre-emptive strike within the next hour. The responsibility lies with you. Good luck, Phoenix Initiates! Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE This room exudes a strong bunker vibe as soon as you step in. It feels like a covert underground tunnel operation that has concealed numerous war secrets. The initial puzzles were relatively easy to solve, which was essential because the more challenging puzzles were concentrated towards the latter part of the game. We appreciated this aspect of the puzzle design, as it heightened the sense of urgency towards the end. This room was mostly non-linear, allowing us to tackle some puzzles individually while also enjoying the teamwork required for others. We were impressed by the "tracking" system the puzzle designer incorporated in the latter part of the game. It kept us organized and helped us track which solutions we had already input and which we hadn't. Certain parts of the game felt distinctly "spy-like" as we wired items together, decoded secret messages, and ultimately disarmed a dangerous nuclear launch. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK There was a prop in our game that remained unused. We realized it wasn't essential since the game already had plenty of activities, and removing it might reduce confusion. Some clue placements were confusing because we had already solved the puzzle but didn't understand why the clue appeared later on. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? If you love wartime storylines and enjoy feeling like a spy, this game is perfect for you. You'll not only learn secret message decoding techniques, but also engage in physical activities that reveal hidden surprises. The challenge of disarming a nuclear device at the end through multi-step challenges will undoubtedly keep you on edge. Bring along your strongest and smartest comrades, as this room presents a formidable challenge, especially for newcomers!
