Scarlet Manuscript Country: Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Language: English Type of Game: Tabletop Games ๐Ÿ“ฌ Genre: Mystery Date Played: August 14, 2026 Difficulty (based on 3 players): 6/10 Size of Team: Unlimited (Recommend 1-6 ppl) Time: Unlimited (Suggested 1-2 Hours) Price: $35 CAD ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†ˆ This is it! After venturing across time and space and investigating Time Trap Island, what lies before you is the Scarlet Manuscript. It will take all your skills to unravel the mystery behind it and if you do, you will be rewarded with the legendary Athenaeum, a doorway to inter-dimensional travel and find your place among the stars. ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด โž๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ…บ๐Ÿ†‚โž Opening the scarlet envelope, we find a small journal with the Scarlet Envelope logo on it, a fragile manuscript with medieval, gothic text on it, a photo with some QR codes on the back as well as an additional envelope with a cryptic SE XIII on it. The gameplay was all offline which was refreshing. Going through the clues in the journal, the game was laid out and sign posted fantastically. There was also some great world building in the journal. This was a great wrap up for the entire series. The intro video gave a nice recap to the overall events and had some noticeable throwbacks. To see the complete ending, you will need all the collected letters from their previous games to spell out the final phrase. They also included a QR code to a Spotify playlist with some great tracks to listen while puzzling. Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ How many puzzles can you hide in a manuscript and short journal? Turns out a lot! Opening the envelope, we expected a heavy online component to this game with what looks like minimal content but as we played, everything was hidden in front of us. The only online component to the game was the intro and outro parts. There was a great variety of puzzles. We enjoyed struggling through the tough puzzles, relished in the simple wins and had a great time with the experience overall. The final puzzle though was the chef's kiss. The hint system was well tiered as they took you step by step without giving too much and allowing you your aha moment. This game had a lot of great puzzles and moments, specifically the final puzzle. We played with 3 puzzle enthusiasts and we all had a great time together. Though this game is only available if you buy the complete series together, this game is worth obtaining, especially having played any or all the other Scarlet Envelope games. • Fuzzy Logic Escape Room - "Fantasy Escape"

Photo above is property of Fuzzy Logic Escape Room Company: Fuzzy Logic Escape Room Game: Fantasy Escape Country: USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Language: English Type of Game: Live Stream Puzzles ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Fantasy, Adventure Date Played: June 23, 2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 7/10 Size of Team: Up to 8 Players Time: 60 Minutes Price: $49.99 (up to 2 devices)/ $69.99 (unlimited) "Fantasy Escape" was previously a mobile escape game. It was recently converted by Fuzzy Logic Escape Room to a live stream escape puzzle game. We had the privilege to beta test it and below are some of our thoughts on the game. You'll have an avatar with you throughout the game just like a remote escape room. The only difference is that all the puzzles will be placed on a table and there's no actual set design. There is still a story line (Fuzzy Logic will be implementing some video component to it soon) and it is to help the villagers to open a relic treasure chest. Even though there was no set design, we were still able to feel the story line through the way the puzzles were created. I know it's hard to imagine that since they are stationed on a table, but you'll see during the game that it's quite an interesting setup. The puzzles were all Gen 1, (maybe except for one little surprise that we didn't even detect during the game) but they were a lot of fun. We are big fans of Fuzzy Logic's puzzles because they always manage to accomplish an important rule: it all make sense! Since there was not much searching that we had to do, the entire game was build on puzzles after puzzles. We got out with 4 minute and 9 seconds left on the clock with just the two of us. If you love puzzles and don't really care about the immersive aspect of an escape room (and have an odd fetish for opening lots of locks), then this is the room for you! Photos above are property of Fuzzy Logic Escape Room ** UPDATE - We regret to inform that "Fuzzy Logic Escape Room" has closed. • Fuzzy Logic Escape Room - "Saving Sherlock"

Photo above is property of Fuzzy Logic Escape Room Company: Fuzzy Logic Escape Room Game: Fantasy Escape Country: USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Language: English Type of Game: Live Stream Puzzles ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Fantasy, Adventure Date Played: February 9, 2021 Difficulty (based on 3 players): 3/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: 60 Minutes Price: $29.99/ Game (Up to 10 devices) ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†ˆ Sherlock has been framed and he needs your help to clear his name! Dr. Watson just send you all the information he's collected so far. Now it's up to you and your team to find the evidences... ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ Once you purchase the game, you'll receive a link to the Telescape platform. Once you login, the game will begin with a very detailed explanation of how to use this digital platform. This is the most organized automated Telescape game explanation and hint system we've seen so far, It actually gives you a video tutorial. The game also provided us with a lock list where we were able to keep track of what has been opened and what's still locked. The hint system is per puzzle so once you solve the puzzle, that hint will no longer be available. You're able to click go to the hint section and click on the specific hint you need for a particular puzzle. Don't be expecting the fancy set design of an actual escape room for this digital game as this is previous a portal game designed by Fuzzy Logic Escape Room. All your focus should be on puzzles. The entire game play is in front of a table and your goal is to open all the boxes. Photos above are property of Fuzzy Logic Escape Room ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ The game is mostly linear but there were a few occasions that your team can solve 2 or 3 puzzles at the same time. The puzzles were quite easy and some solutions were right in front of our eyes. Since all players can type in the solution box and the game is synced for all the players, make sure to update the other players before typing a solution. This way you'll proceed at the same time and everyone will be on the same page. We had an issue with one of the puzzles as it felt ambiguous but since the solution was very specific we had to use a hint for that one (Update 2/20/21: The owner has informed us that this puzzle will be corrected so you may not encounter this issue when you play the game in the future). ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ If you are a beginner puzzler and don't really care about the fancy graphics but more just on the satisfaction of opening locks and solving puzzles, then you might want to start with this case and help Sherlock clear his name! Once you feel like you've leveled up as a detective, there are plenty of cases waiting for you to solve at Fuzzy Logic that's a bit more challenging! Donna T. The escape room started with a short video narration about the issue at hand - Sherlock has been framed and his dear friend, Dr. Watson, has to rescue him. We were taken to a room of evidence full of various bags, and other paraphernalia set on top of a table and so the puzzles began. This escape room uses telescape live. I liked that there was a menu bar that had links to the view of the room, the puzzles, the locks, and the timer. It was easy to navigate and I liked that the puzzles would have check marks next to them once a puzzle was completed. Items were also automatically removed once they were used and unnecessary. This telescape live-format escape room made it easy for players to view the puzzles on their own screens and try to crack them. It made for a very real escape room-like experience. It also gives the option for the teams to work together on parts of the puzzle as well with this format. There were many puzzles with references to the Sherlock Holmes world including letters, photos and maps which were done creatively. They ranged in difficulty, from the obvious to the ones were creative. One was slightly confusing. There was a great sense of accomplishment every time the unlock sound effect played. I would recommend the room overall and it was very family-friendly. ** UPDATE - We regret to inform that "Fuzzy Logic Escape Room" has closed. • REMOTE: Fuzzy Logic Escape Room - "Concert Quest"

Photo above is property of Fuzzy Logic Escape Room Company: Fuzzy Logic Escape Room Game: Concert Quest Country: USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Language: English Type of Game: Remote Escape Room ๐Ÿ—ฃ Genre: Fun, Adventure Date Played: September 16, 2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 5.5/10 Size of Team: Recommended Up to 8 Players Time: 60 Minutes Price: $69.99 (1-2 Zoom Logins)/ $99.99 (Unlimited Logins) We've been invited to beta test Fuzzy Logic Escape Room's new game "Concert Quest". Whenever there's a new game from Fuzzy Logic Escape Room, we are always excited to play. They've always been able to provide a refreshing and creative experience with all of their games. We first played their remote escape room game - "Vet Office" back in May '20 followed by their live streaming puzzle game - "Fantasy Escape" in June '20. Both games were super fun and exciting and delivered that "Fuzzy Logic" consistency throughout! DJ BEaST is having one last final concert performance! You and your friends have a chance to win a VIP exclusive backstage tour but only if you can prove that you are his biggest fans!! I love this storyline because I'm a huge fan of anything relating to music. This really reminded me of how I'm always trying to get that VIP backstage pass to meet and hang out with the artists! But only the truest and top knowledgeable contender can enter that backstage door. I wish we were able to play this game in person because I can just imagine being backstage w/ the music blasting on the other side of the wall while we're trying to gain access. The puzzles were a lot of fun and had a good mixture of different challenges which allowed us to divide and conquer. One thing we love about their puzzle design is that they are not too difficult but there's a ton of them to go through. It's that fast paced game flow that keeps that excitement for us throughout the game. And if you love locks, you'll fall in love with this set. The set design was as good as a "green room" should appear to be. The only thing that was missing was a sofa and a large bag of chips! Overall, "Concert Quest" was a lot of fun and entertaining but what really added the cherry on top for us (as usual) was the avatar Jayson! The high energy and non-stop charisma was provided to us continuously throughout the game. Since we were beta testing "Concert Quest", there were a few minor suggestions that we made. However, Fuzzy Logic is great at understanding what makes an escape room fun and continues the game flow. We can't wait to hear the public's opinions about the game because this room is guaranteed to bring out the inner groupie in all of us! And if they do end up incorporating a karaoke segment, we'll definitely be back to replay this room! • REMOTE: Fuzzy Logic Escape Room - "Vet Office"

Photo above is property of Fuzzy Logic Escape Room Company: Fuzzy Logic Escape Room Game: Vet Office Country: USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Language: English Type of Game: Remote Escape Room ๐Ÿ—ฃ Genre: Fun, Adventure Date Played: May 7, 2020 Difficulty (based on 5 players): 6.5/10 Size of Team: Recommended Up to 8 Players Time: 60 Minutes Price: $69.99 (1-2 Zoom Logins), $99.99 (Unlimited Logins) When I first contacted Fuzzy Logic Escape Room and asked them to suggest a room for us to play, they immediately went for "Vet Office". I was leaning towards their other rooms since "Superheroes" or "Villains" sounded more intriguing. At first glance, we thought the room was quite small and not sure how we were suppose to last 60 minutes with 5 players that have all done over hundreds of escape rooms. Boy were we wrong! This is a classic "don't judge a book by it's cover" scenario. As we opened one lock more "mystery" unraveled. We really loved the fact that we had a real time inventory list sent to us as we discovered the items. This really helped the team divide and conquer puzzles like what we would normally do in a physical location. The camera was also very clear (except one puzzle was hard to see due to the angle) and the internet connection was smooth throughout. The cherry on top was our avatar staying in character the entire time. He knew just the right amount of "speed" to complete a task. In some rooms we've encountered avatars being super slow at opening locks or asking us three times to confirm if we wanted to open the lock or not. It was as if they wanted to drag out the 60 minutes. Our avatar played like how we would in an escape room. The puzzles were a lot of fun and very logical. I personally really enjoyed the final puzzle. By the looks on our victory photo, you can tell this is easily one of our favorite remote escape rooms! • REMOTE: Fuzzy Logic Escape Room - "Villains Lair"

Photo above is property of Fuzzy Logic Escape Room Company: Fuzzy Logic Escape Room Game: Villains Lair Country: USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Language: English Type of Game: Remote Escape Room ๐Ÿ—ฃ Genre: Adventure Date Played: February, 12, 2020 Difficulty (based on 4 players): 5/10 Size of Team: Recommended Up to 8 Players Time: 60 Minutes Price: $99.99 (5 connections). +$10 for additional (up to $199) ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†ˆ Time to fire up our Destruct-O-Ray and implement our evil plan to destroy the Megatropolis! Our avatar Jayson was in character right from the beginning. They play such a great villain. I must say they definitely perfected their villain laugh (MUHAUHAUHA). And it's contagious because we all started to do it during the game play. The 360 view in the inventory portal really helped our team as we're able to identify what we wanted to see and then directed Jayson for a closer look. It also helped us to divide and conquer during non-linear parts of the game play. Jayson also had great control over the camera. They knew when it's time to rush and zoom in and when to slowly pan out. The entire game felt prerecorded but you know it's happening in real time. Photos above are property of Fuzzy Logic Escape Room ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ The room's main focus was on the laser gun. The puzzles were all designed around turning on the Destruct-O-Ray at the end. The puzzles were not too difficult but all made sense with the room's theme. There's an interactive puzzle in there that would normally need more than one person to complete but Jayson made it work with just himself. It was entertaining for us to watch but they're definitely going to lose a few pounds after this game. We love it when the avatar knows what type of player they are working with. Jayson was able to play the game like they're a member of our team. They did not purposely delay any of our commands to drag out play time. We completed the game in 33 minutes or so but we loved every minute of it. ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ We have never laughed so hard during an online escape room. Because of the explosive energy Jayson was able to provide to the players, we felt it during the entire game play and that made the game feel 10 times better. I would rather play the online version versus the in person game because I don't want to miss out on Jayson's performance. Of course we can't forget the silent helper in the back end. Andrew did a great job with sending us clues that we needed and removing the ones we've used in real time. It's because of the perfect collaboration, we succeeded with our evil plan. Now lets go destroy another Megatropolis! RJ G. Pros Exceptional avatar interactivity Puzzles were all sensible and fun Unique Villain theme Overall game flow didn't miss a beat Cons The quality of life enhancements and gentle guidance can make the game feel easier This live avatar guided escape room was a blast. Our avatar's dedication and enthusiasm to their character and their craft made the experience ever so enjoyable. Their well rehearsed voice acting and camera set up made the room come to life; perhaps even more so than if we had done it in person. The puzzles weren't too difficult and were fair and intuitive. The online clue tracking app also fit well with the overall execution. I would highly recommend this remote escape room to anyone. ______________________________________________________________ Jacqueline G. As a person who is not at all into all of the superhero/villain hype I wasnโ€™t very enthusiastic about this escape room. However, within the first 30 seconds of the game starting, I had the hugest smile on my face. This experience is one I will never forget. The only negative I can even think of (and this is purely nitpicking) is the labels were sort of hard to disambiguate. Honestly though, this experience was one filled with laughter, fun, and some awkward duh moments. Jayson's character was amazing. Their big energy alongside smart puzzles was the best online escape room experience Iโ€™ve had. I will 100% be participating in another one of their escape rooms and recommend it to anyone. I think this puzzle in particular is fun regardless of your skill level. ** UPDATE - We regret to inform that "Fuzzy Logic Escape Room" has closed. • Escape Room Helsinki - "The Murder of Ms Cronwall"

Video/ Photos have been provided by Escape Room Helsinki Company: Escape Room Helsinki Game: The Murder of Ms. Cronwell Language: English/ Finnish Country: Finland ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Type of Game: DIY Escape Kit ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Genre: Murder Mystery Date Played: July 4, 2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 3/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited Price: โ‚ฌ20.00 The story takes us back to 1920's in Finland where Ms. Cronwall (a prostitute) was murdered. It seemed like the police at the time did not care for such insignificant person's case and we were called in the assist. It was very interesting to learn about the history of Finland during the prohibition period from the game. This was when speakeasies and smuggling businesses flourished. The game does capture the vibe of the era in the intro video and the game through the different characters. The game itself was more focused on creating the story versus "puzzles". The "puzzles" felt more like search and find and were quite easy. The game centered around a form that had a bunch of questions that we needed to find answers for that eventually became evidences that we needed to piece together to solve the murder. We felt like detectives filling out a suspect report. This was later used to determine the murderer and his/her motive. We wished some "hints" were not so obvious as it gave us an opportunity to figure out some answers without having to really dig into the files. There were only 2 pages we felt needed printing (if you can't visualize it on the computer). It was nice that the game provided a conclusive ending to the murder case. If you are looking for a beginner level digital game (I probably wouldn't characterize this as an escape game due to the theme and also the type of "puzzles") and enjoy murder mystery type of story line, then you can easily occupy yourself with an hour of playtime with this game. ** UPDATE - We regret to inform that "Escape Room Helsinki" has closed. Every year, a brave hero is chosen to undertake the dangerous Journey of the Sheaf and deliver the last sheaf of wheat from the autumn harvest to the Land of Darkness. The grain bears the strength of warm summer days and with its help, the sun will return. This time, the heroes are you and your team, can you complete the journey and help bring back the light? Video above is property of Escape Room Helsinki ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ You are sent two PDF files for the game, one containing pages to print and cut, and other with some reference material and instructions for the game. You access the website and start by watching a beautifully ethereal short video with the backstory to set the scene. You then login using the code you purchased (which can be activated 3 times), choose your team name and begin. The game can be played over multiple sessions but you can only activate your code 3 times. The creators have even included a suggested soundtrack to listen to on Spotify while you play, which is a lovely touch! However, the game does contain audio intrinsic to the puzzles too. The game plays out on a website with a page per puzzle, titled so that you can see which parts of the printed material to use. The instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. Photo above is property of Escape Room Helsinki The files to be printed are full size A4 full colour, so you will need a good printer, although you can reference back to the pdf on screen which I had to do several times as my printouts from an inkjet are not that clear or bright. I also printed them 2 to a page to keep ink and paper use down. I believe that you can get way with just printing a couple of the puzzles (The starlit tree and the bearโ€™s compass) if you are short on ink, or even use a touchscreen to solve all the puzzles if youโ€™re lucky enough to have one to draw on the screen. The background images make it look pretty but are a big ink drain. ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ The puzzles are all connected to the legend, and thus are based on symbols, items and words connected to the theme. There are 10 puzzles in all that range in difficulty and style. The first two were fairly simple, but there was one with a sneaky twist made me scratch my head until the a-ha moment. If you submit a wrong answer, you are met with a sombre drum beat sound, which if youโ€™re struggling over a puzzle and trying different attempts starts to grate a bit, but get it right and you are met with a very celebratory chant. The answers to the puzzles are quite often Sami words, which means unless you know this language, if you are almost correct or just hazarding a guess, it is quite difficult to know if you are close, as the words are not common and without certainty you could have a multitude of possible answers. The ending page gave me a link to the answers with a password but I could not access this page to see the solutions. Photo above is property of Escape Room Helsinki There is a hint system that will give you up to 3 hints, and I had to use this several times, as some of the puzzles just did not click for me. Some of the ones I had to use all my hints on were ones that the image used felt not intuitive or not clear enough. There does not seem to be any penalty for using them, but if you have used all 3, you cannot reveal the answer, the only choice is to โ€œskip the puzzleโ€. The answer is revealed usually on the next page though as the story progresses. There are several videos and images to be used in solving the puzzles. These are nice, with lovely music, imagery and sound, and add a bit of interest. ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ Despite using many hints, and having some issues with a few of the puzzles I found this to be a charming game with a lovely theme and other than the oft-heard drumbeat of an incorrect answer, I also found this to be a nice relaxing and interesting game, which opened my eyes to some mythology and took me away on a magical adventure for an hour. ** UPDATE - We regret to inform that "Escape Room Helsinki" has closed. When you pull into the complex, you might not be able to see the name Pacifica Escape Zone as itโ€™s named as their parent company โ€œAnime Importsโ€. We were fortunate enough to speak with the owner to learn more about the company. In addition to Pacifica Escape Zone, the owner also owns a comic book store in the near vicinity so if you are a comic book fan, make sure you check it out! As we entered the lobby area, thereโ€™s really no check in or dรฉcor which we thought this could be improved to give the player the whole experience. Photo above is property of Sherlock's Escapes Company: Sherlock's Escapes Game: Surviving Summer Camp Country: Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Language: English Type of Game: Audio Escape Room ๐Ÿ‘‚ Genre: Adventure Date Played: June 22, 2020 Difficulty (based on 4 players): 5.5/10 Size of Team: 2-6 Players Time: 70 Minutes Price: $13.99 CAD/ pp As a team of four, we attempted Sherlock's Escapes's audio escape game, "Surviving Summer Camp". The back story was that our rival camp, Camp Blackwood, had a gang of pranksters that was causing trouble for our camp, Camp Watson. We had to stop them before our summer gets ruined! The format of this audio escape game was very similar to a lot of the other ones we've tried. We were presented with colorful PDF drawings and after the intro story, we were able to freely explore. Our host, Matt, did a great job with the narration. We had some very "creative" teammates on that day but he was still able to quickly come up with funny and intuitive responses. There was a point in the game we felt like a lot of time was used on searching. We didn't feel like there were enough puzzles within the 70 minute game. A few items were not drawn on the PDF itself so we had to imagine them in a real life situation. It would've been quite difficult for new players to come up on it on their own without a hint. Audio escape rooms definitely have their own type of audience. A lot of our D&D and RPG friends really like them. The success of the game heavily depends on two factors: the game master being able to portray the character and the players being engaging. We felt that these were achieved on the day that we played the game and that's what made it fun! If the company wants to capture a wider audience, we suggest adding more puzzles and perhaps even some video elements to make the game more unique. ** UPDATE - We regret to inform that "Sherlock's Escapes" has closed. Disclosure: We thank Sherlock's Escapes for comping our tickets for this game. • Theater In Place - "Wonderland", "Sherlock's Office", "Neverland"

Videos/ Photos provided by Theater in Place Company: Theater in Place Game: Wonderland, Sherlock's Office, Neverland Type of game: Immersive Experience ๐ŸŽญ Cost: Free This was a gem to find on the internet. Theater In Place is an online, interactive theater for children of all ages. As a Disney lover, I quite enjoyed it myself. Currently they have three stories: Wonderland, Sherlock's Office & Neverland. There are clickable videos that will pop up in each story and after an amusing performance, you'll get a riddle or puzzle that you'll need to solve. Once you enter the right answer, you'll be "awarded". Definitely something fun to do with kids, especially when it's free! #escapetheroomers #kids #immersivetheater AtHomeGames #neverland #sherlock #wonderland #alice #peterpan

  • Sherlock's Escapes - "Breaching the Boss's Office"

Photo above is property of Sherlock's Escapes Company: Sherlock's Escapes Game: Breaching the Boss's Office Country: Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Language: English Type of Game: Audio Escape Room ๐Ÿ‘‚ Genre: Investigative, Mission Date Played: September 18, 2022 Difficulty (based on 5 players): 5/10 Size of Team: 3-9 Players (Recommended 5-7 Players) Time: 70 Minutes Price: $20.50 CAD/ pp ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†ˆ In the middle of the night, your phone rings. You, Sherlock Holmes, are uncharacteristically perturbed. Giving in to your investigative senses, you realise that your friend and colleague, Watson, sent a rather sensitive email to the boss of the both of you. Since heโ€™s in quarantine, Watson is not able to head to the office to delete that email himself. Turning to you for help, you find yourself back in the office, hoping not to get spotted because, well - you are not essential staff, you do not have the keys, and for all the luck in the world, you do not want to see your boss. ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ Sherlockโ€™s Escapes' games work similarly to a mix between tabletop role playing games (TTRPG's) and an online escape room. Our Game Master this round went through the rules, the lore of the room, and the operations briefly before proceeding with the game proper. The game materials and visuals were accessible via Sherlockโ€™s Escapes own portal, with each step of the room appearing upon entering a password provided by the Game Master as the team goes on with solving puzzles or making the correct searches. On the hint front, the Game Master is there as needed - we were also told that each Game Master had to read the room. So if your team takes a little too long, you might get a nudge towards the right direction as the clock continues to tick away! ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ As an Escape Room with TTRPG-style operations, it was essentially like we had an additional member of the team. While most of the puzzles were visual or search-related, they were easily resolved, especially when yourself or your team members ended up reciting the puzzle or search process or suggestions out loud. And very much like a typical Escape Room, especially in a relatable, contemporary scenario, putting logical pieces together was a common occurrence (e.g. putting ink cartridges in an empty printer). With all your important materials and maps available on the Sherlockโ€™s Escapes portal - that was kept open throughout the game - visualizing and figuring out puzzle solutions was easier and clearer. Photos above are property of Sherlock's Escapes ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ I walked away from this game feeling enthusiastic and energetic - one of the advantages of having a Game Master onsite, even on a virtual level, was that there was always this level of interaction and engagement that made the game just that much more fun. Our Game Master was able to feed off our teamโ€™s energy and reactions to the different aspects of the game and game materials, leading to a more personalized experience. For players who would like a more private or silent approach, it would be important to communicate this preference early. Open communication and camaraderie was palpable during gameplay, so no one was or felt left out. So if youโ€™re a player who would like a more personal experience, or are just a player who likes to recite their processes, this might be the game for you. If youโ€™re an organization looking for a team-bonding activity, Sherlockโ€™s Escapes also offers adjustments according to your needs. I just hope that youโ€™ll never get caught sneaking into your bossโ€™ office. ** UPDATE - We regret to inform that "Sherlock's Escapes" has closed. She stole something from him just to gain his attention. Sherlock needs you to break into her apartment and retrieve that important information back. He is only able to distract her for exactly 60 minutesโ€ฆ Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers ๐ŸŽฏ HIT THE BULLSEYE The room was decorated like a normal apartment but full of secrets. Itโ€™s an interesting way of utilizing a small space. Several props in the room did make us feel like we were performing detective work. ๐Ÿงฉ MISSED THE MARK One of the puzzles didnโ€™t have clarity in the clues. We had to assume that perhaps they meant the same thing. A prop was utilized several times in the game which seemed repetitive. A directional puzzle was not very clear in terms of having one solution per puzzle. A clue indicator was meant to inform us about using a certain prop but because of the location and the way it was presented, we thought it had associated with another puzzle. One of the puzzles took almost half of the game time. The process of "search and find" was way too long and felt like a โ€œtime-fillerโ€. Some props and decor can definitely use some updating. ๐Ÿน TAKE A SHOT? This is one of the older games at Sherlockโ€™s Escape. The manager did inform us that changes are coming and that this room is getting a facelift soon. Currently, the storyline, puzzles, and set design all need a good amount of work. We are big fans of Sherlock Holmes and we love the story concepts that Sherlockโ€™s Escape is trying to create. I hope that we'll see some improvement in their IRL games when we're in the area next time. ALSO: Sherlockโ€™s Escape has online audio escape rooms that you can play from the comfort of your home. We loved their โ€œSurviving Summer Campโ€ & โ€œBreaching the Bossโ€™s Officeโ€. Do check them out! • Escape Hunt Miami - "Miami Nightmare"

LOCATION: Miami, Florida, USA Photo above is property of Escape Hunt Miami Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers ๐Ÿ“ ETR DECODER ๐Ÿ”‘ GAME: Miami Nightmare ๐Ÿ“… DATE PLAYED: November 20, 2021 ๐ŸŽฌ GENRE: Detective, Thriller ๐Ÿง  DIFFICULTY (Based on 4 ppl): 6.5/10 ๐Ÿ‘ฅ TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: 2-6 ppl (Ages 16+) ๐Ÿ•’ LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins. ๐Ÿ’ฐ PRICE: $33.00/ pp โ˜Ž๏ธ BOOKING TYPE: Private ๐Ÿ”“ ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes ๐Ÿ“– THE STORY It's 1992, and the FBI are tracking down the infamous Miami slasher who's been on a murderous killing spree! They have a suspect that they want to bring in for questioning but they need evidence. However, the weather forecast predicts a category 5 hurricane approaching Miami fast... Video is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers ๐ŸŽฏ HIT THE BULLSEYE Although this room was pretty small, the creator had some innovative ideas on where to hide clues and secret compartments. We really enjoyed some of the ways the puzzles were created. The props were utilized in a way where you had to think like a serial killer and implement them accordingly. There's a good amount of teamwork that was needed in this game. We each had moments to shine. Some did the reading where others were busy finding hidden objects. This room had a good variation in tasks to keep us busy. ๐Ÿงฉ MISSED THE MARK The decor was a bit eerie but pretty basic. It was lacking that "fear" factor of being in a serial killer's lair. The story also had said that a storm was coming. Perhaps some added in affects of lighting (from a fake window) and sound would make the atmosphere feel more intense. At one point we did have to read some material with blacklight. It was hard to read since the room light was also on. If that can be controlled by the player, it might make the reading easier. We had jumped over a puzzle without using the clues which made it confusing for us later on as we thought that clue was used for another puzzle. ๐Ÿน TAKE A SHOT? Going up the escalator, we didn't know what to expect but the space is huge! You can easily spend a day there playing all the games. If catching serial killer isn't your forte then check out their other themes. "Blackbeard's Treasure" can actually be played as a competitive style as there are two of them! Oh and one more thing, this Escape Hunt kept the original "victory" props and I just adore those "Sherlock Holmes" outfits and gadgets. Make sure put on your best investigator smile! โ„น๏ธ ADDITIONAL INFO Street parking is going to be difficult. Try for parking lots near the area. Take the elevator up to the 2nd floor. • Escape Vegas XXX - "Massacre at the Vu"

LOCATION: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Photo above is property of Escape Vegas XXX ๐Ÿ“ ETR DECODER ๐Ÿ”‘ GAME: Massacre at the Vu ๐Ÿ“… DATE PLAYED: November 11, 2019 ๐ŸŽฌ GENRE: Crime, Mystery ๐Ÿง  DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl): 7/10 ๐Ÿ‘ฅ TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: 2-8 ppl ๐Ÿ•’ LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins ๐Ÿ’ฐ PRICE: $35.00/ pp โ˜Ž๏ธ BOOKING TYPE: Private ๐Ÿ”“ ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes ๐Ÿ“– THE STORY We arrived at Dรฉjร  Vu Showgirls for our fun night out. But it seemed like no one was around. Since the door was open, we went in. The scene looked like a massacre from a horror film with victimsโ€™ body all over the place. For some reason the police havenโ€™t been called yet and we suspect the killer is still here! We must quickly find our way out before the killer finds us. Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers ๐ŸŽฏ HIT THE BULLSEYE We loved how the locals can build an escape room themed around their business. The mini sized strip club had the whole package from music to the stage to even the strip pole! Although there was not much high tech in the room, the puzzles were still intriguing with old fashion locks. The story line was closely connected with the puzzle designs. It was our first time seeing a puzzle design revolving around articles of clothing. We thought that was clever. Enjoyed the club music throughout the room. We can visualize some players from a large group just enjoying the dance floor while others worked on puzzles. ๐Ÿงฉ MISSED THE MARK The first room fell a bit short on the decor. The latter parts were a lot more immersive. One puzzle was a bit time consuming but not sure of the relevance to the story line other than the visual connection. Some props seemed like they needed a little updating. ๐Ÿน TAKE A SHOT? If you like solving crimes and collecting evidence, this could be a fun and unique experience for you. We really didnโ€™t know what to expect for an escape room located in an adult shop, but we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the puzzles. We recommend a group size of 3-4 people. Since this place is open 24 hours, come join the party whenever you want! ๐Ÿ”Ž HINT Whatโ€™s different between the two? Additional Info Lobby with love boutique Parking in front Open 24 hours Please note: there's no nudity or explicit content in the room but all players must be 18+ and be comfortable with adult entertainment features.
