An informant embedded within the cult will be your guide, helping you navigate the chaos and uncover what truly lies beneath their fanatical devotion. This isn’t just an escape room—it’s an expansive, narrative-driven adventure that blends immersive theater, puzzle-solving, and exploration into one unforgettable experience. ⏳    THE EXPERIENCE This experience begins the moment you arrive at the designated meeting point. In the car park, you and your team will meet your informants and prepare to enter the world of the Gricers. This is a highly physical game, and each player will be outfitted with coveralls, knee pads, and helmets—essential gear for the intense challenges ahead. While the game is designed to push participants outside their comfort zones, accommodations can be made for players with mobility limitations through an in-story narrative. However, the creators encourage players to attempt all challenges before utilizing these accommodations. Most of the time, the game takes place at night, in near-total darkness. The lighting is carefully designed to enhance the experience without hindering gameplay. Some areas are deliberately dark, adding to the tension and immersive nature of the adventure. Players can choose between a 2-hour and a 4-hour version of the experience. The shorter version delivers a complete and cohesive narrative, but the full 4-hour game is where this experience truly shines. It transcends traditional escape rooms, blending action, adventure, puzzle-solving, and immersive storytelling into a cinematic, video game-like experience. The extended version allows for deeper exploration of the world, interaction with the environment, and experimentation with the game’s intricate mechanics. If you're unsure which version to choose—step outside your comfort zone and play the full 4-hour experience. 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE The main mechanic of this game delivers an incredible mix of joy, terror, and adrenaline—an experience so impactful that even after leaving, players can still hear the echoing numbers in their minds. Without revealing too much, this core element creates unforgettable tension, turning each moment into an emotional rollercoaster that wouldn’t be the same without it. However, at no point did our group feel unsafe. While the game does require a high level of movement and exertion, the physicality is an intentional part of the experience. Proper preparation makes a huge difference. If players dress appropriately for the environment—wearing weather-appropriate clothing and gear suited for running outside in a train yard—the challenges become much more manageable. The game’s design encourages stepping outside your comfort zone, but it never forces players into anything beyond their limits. For those concerned about the physical demands, the game does offer in-story accommodations when necessary. However, players should expect to push themselves and embrace the adventure. The movement isn’t just an added challenge—it’s integral to the immersion, making every moment feel more real and engaging. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? " Demise of the Gricers " is a four-hour-long experience that felt like it passed in just 30 minutes. Time has never flown by so quickly for me and my group. The game's ability to unfold organically, driven by our choices and actions, made every moment feel engaging and immersive. We never quite knew where the story would lead, but that uncertainty only heightened the excitement. What truly stood out was how well the game catered to different playstyles. Players who enjoyed intellectual challenges had plenty of intricate puzzles to solve, while those who preferred a more physical approach could take on action-oriented mechanics. This balance ensured that every type of player felt included and had a meaningful role in the experience. The team at Entered also did an exceptional job of accommodating players when things became too intense. They found ways to adapt the experience to each individual's capabilities while still encouraging them to push beyond their comfort zones in a safe and controlled manner. One of our teammates, who initially had doubts about their ability to complete the game, was thrilled to find themselves fully engaged, breaking the experience into digestible segments, and ultimately succeeding in ways they hadn’t expected. For anyone who has ever wanted to step into the world of an action-packed video game, this is your chance. I highly recommend playing at night for the most immersive atmosphere—it adds a layer of tension and excitement that simply can't be replicated. There is truly nothing else like this that I have played before. As an American visiting mainland Europe, I can only hope that something of this caliber makes its way stateside. But honestly, I might just have to book another plane ticket just to play this again. You must quickly find a way out before the clown returns. Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE This room featured some challenging multi-step puzzles that we thoroughly enjoyed solving by piecing together the clues. Some clever props were employed to test your observation and memory, prompting you to recall where you had seen them before and where you might use them. Brandon always prefers physical puzzles over logical ones, and this game certainly included plenty of those. Jump scares were frequent, but the timing was particularly effective on a few occasions. It was tough to catch us since we were just two players, but with more participants, someone would likely be "caught" by the clown. The decor truly captured the essence of a circus. We even got to engage in various "acts" or "games" typical of a circus experience. Sound effects significantly boosted the scare factor throughout the game. Although some puzzles would have been easier with more than two players, the game also provided props that allowed us to complete puzzles typically requiring a larger group. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK The brightness in the second room diminished the game's frightening aspect. We hope the lighting could remains eerie throughout the set design. Some jump scare props were placed too obviously in certain spots. It would be great if those could be concealed more. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? Although the game is not as scary as " Haunted Mansion ", you'll still get a good amount of jump scares out of it, which, while not as intense as those found in more traditional horror settings, are executed with precision to elicit genuine reactions from unsuspecting participants. There are no live actors in the game. However, this absence is more than compensated for by the eerie ambiance and the unsettling design of the environment. You'll definitely feel those creepy clown eyes lurking in the dark, watching your every move. If you enjoy circus and carnival games, this would be really fun for you and your team. The game incorporates elements reminiscent of classic fairground attractions, but with a sinister twist that adds a layer of thrill. Will you be able to come out alive before the evil clown gets back? There’s no frustrating wait for a GM to notice you need help; a simple tap on the screen delivers ready-made hints tailored to your progress. An outro video would provide a more satisfying resolution, perhaps showing the murderer confessing or being taken away by the police. It’s accessible for players of all skill levels, though the theme may be less captivating for younger audiences. We received a diary that succinctly provided clues on which puzzles to address and where to direct our attention. We appreciated the various "chambers" we explored, considering the room's space constraints. The final room was particularly impressive, featuring a prop reminiscent of one found in a Disney attraction. The room offered a good mix of straightforward puzzles requiring observation and others that demanded more logical thinking. The props and set design were all pertinent to the game's theme. Everything, even the smallest clue piece, felt like it belonged. A bell rang every time something opened, ensuring we didn't miss any developments, even if we were in another room. We enjoyed the sound effects and voices that provided context about the characters in the tomb and offered a satisfying conclusion to the game. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK Initially, there was a puzzle that required players to connect a map with some unconventional thinking for its use. We recommend including a hint in the diary to guide the thought process and avoid guessing how it works. Later, there was a puzzle with floor markings that could be interpreted in various ways. It confused us as we were uncertain about what to look for. The final puzzle might benefit experienced players who have encountered it before, but it's unclear how new players will know what to seek. We suggest adding a voice hint or clue somewhere. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? Egyptian rooms always exude an enchanting aura of mystery! With an incredible set design, we were instantly drawn into the storyline and transformed into daring explorers. Since a good amount of puzzles have been removed from the original design of the room, this adventure is now fitting for players of all skill levels. Remarkably designed in 2017, it remains in excellent condition, boasting technology that's truly ahead of its time. Once inside you hope to find artifacts and remnants of their time there, but you have been warned. Locals believe that something or someone still roams the castle by night. Video above is property of GAME OVER Escape Rooms 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE Despite not using any actual stone in the creation of this ruin, the materials used do achieve the desired effect nicely. Like with most Game Over games there is little in the way of props; all included decorative items will have some function in the game’s puzzles at some point. Those items in Medieval Castle were relatively authentic in appearance and function, which did help provide some level of immersion. Like in all Game Over rooms there is an automated Hint system which tracks your progression through the linear game. You can ask it for two predetermined clues before it goes to the Game Master for ‘emergency’ help! The puzzles in Medieval Castle are some of the most interactive I have seen from Game Over, as there is less emphasis on finding objects and placing them in key spots and more emphasis on solving puzzles and engaging in dynamic tasks. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK Although the room is thematically designed, there isn’t as much attention to fulfilling the story as we would have liked. The room doesn’t bring the plot into play through the puzzles or decoration, so we left feeling a little confused as to what we achieved. That said, it was still a rewarding experience. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE Upon entering Dracula's eerie lair, we were immediately faced with a cell that prevented us from proceeding further. We enjoyed solving an unconventional puzzle to gain entry instead of just finding a key. The set design resembled an old castle filled with hidden secrets, which we uncovered along the way. Throughout the game, you'll use numerous props that make you feel like the real "Van Helsing". There were two props or clue items we hadn't encountered in other escape rooms before. It was satisfying to see how they worked with the solution reveal. The special effect at the end when Dracula was defeated was a fantastic way to conclude the game. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK There was a clue that was depicted in a way that was different than the traditional. I understand why some players might consider this puzzle to be the toughest puzzle in this game. The last task seemed somewhat repetitive. As we advanced through the game, we activated mechanisms that made us feel like we were energizing the ship to uncover its hidden mysteries. Some puzzles necessitated physical tools, while others were solved using control panels reminiscent of spaceship interfaces. We appreciated the diverse array of props seamlessly integrated by the designer. Many puzzles required collaborative problem-solving, testing our teamwork and communication skills, especially challenging since we couldn't write anything down, relying solely on memory. We were particularly impressed by the concealed compartments and surprising revelations scattered throughout the game. The storytelling approach in this game stood out for its uniqueness. Instead of traditional methods like reading text or watching videos, the narrative unfolded through the exploration of messages left by the ship's former crew, adding a layer of intrigue to the experience. 🧩   MISSED THE MARK Providing a flashlight to every player would enhance the gaming experience. With the game becoming more non-linear as it progresses, having multiple flashlights would enable players to explore different parts simultaneously and strategize better. At times, we solved puzzles in the wrong order, leading us to seek clarification from the game master about our progress. This situation could be prevented by restricting access to certain puzzles until the appropriate time. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? The set design of this experience truly transported us into a cinematic realm, evoking a sense of being part of a thrilling movie adventure. There was a clever puzzle design that offered two ways to the solutions: an easier one and a more challenging one. During gameplay, there is a surprising "wow" moment that catches you off guard. From that day on Erzsebet appeared to go through many new maids, the commoners were rumoured to believe she was draining their blood and she was infamously labelled a vampire and the world’s greatest ever serial killer. Centuries later you attend her castle to discover if the stories about her and her lust for virgin blood are true or not. Before entering we watch a short video detailing the story, which is always much better than having to read it yourself or listen to someone narrate it. Whilst the video might not be up to the same production value as many others in the region, the B-movie style left a positive impression as we couldn’t help but laugh at how corny it was (in a good way!). The rooms inside Erzsebet’s chambers are expansive, allowing for teams of up to 6 to fit comfortable inside. The décor is in keeping with the 17th century setting, with a grand four-poster bed adorning her bedroom. In the rooms which follow, we continue to find thematic props and design choices to push the setting of the timeline. Despite many of the puzzles being both simplistic in their design and construction we were pleasantly surprised at their quality and creativity; proving that good puzzles aren’t just expensive or high tech. We actually remarked whilst playing on one particular challenge, that it was such a simple twist on a conventional escape room action, but yet rewarding to complete; in over 600 rooms I hadn’t seen this task before, which was surprising due to its simplicity. Another aspect of the puzzles we enjoyed was the variety; comprising of team challenges, exploration back and forth, and multi-layered riddles. The game wasn’t always linear, so awe were frequently able to attempt different things at the same time. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK For the majority the immersion was maintained throughout by the materials used, but on occasion we were brought back to reality when we came across modern devices or elements, such as electronic keypads. We felt the experience would have been more complete if they committed 100% to the story and immersive experience. Although there was a great introduction to the story in the beginning of the game, the ending was somewhat flat with no real climax or feeling of conclusion when we exited. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? " Erzsebet " is a room which is going to appeal to those who love puzzle rooms and don’t worry to much about immersion. There are some interesting and challenging things inside to solve that will always keep your mind active. The room size and style of puzzles also makes it obtainable for those wishing to bring larger teams and still ensure everyone can take an active role. In this game, we solved different types of puzzles, searching for items or physical challenges. Most puzzles were straightforward, but some had unique twists. They were enjoyable to solve. The game master was friendly and helpful. He kindly assisted us with the puzzles that we had difficulty solving. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK The game had fun puzzles with a nice twist and was easy to play. Yet, I felt it was a little one-note from the beginning to the end. There were enchanting moments where we had to pause and savor the surprise, momentarily forgetting about the time limit to complete the experience. The puzzles in this room were cleverly crafted, using props in unexpected ways. The puzzle progression was excellent. Most were task-based, but you always had a clear idea of what to do next. The designer ingeniously incorporated the room's decor for hidden clues that, once found, provided "aha" moments. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK Certain locks seemed out of place in this set design. One of the mechanisms was quite challenging to operate. Providing clearer instructions would be helpful instead of needing a clue. Perhaps having more players might make it easier. One puzzle had light indicators that confused us. Even with an incorrect placement of a prop, the light would turn green. The game could have benefited from a more conclusive and narrative-driven ending, especially since the room already had a mechanism for a reveal. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? Brandon's favorite Disney couple is undoubtedly Aladdin and Jasmine, a pairing that embodies adventure, romance, and the enchanting allure of the magical world they inhabit. You could truly sense the thrill radiating from him as we embarked on our journey through this captivating universe. The deeper we ventured into this magical kingdom, the more we experienced moments that truly resonated with the essence of the Disney characters we cherished. There were a few moments that provided the thrill of a "magical" reveal when an object or door opened. Each time something opened, a bell sound alerted us, ensuring we didn't miss any action. The game included a good number of translation puzzles, all in different formats, which fit well with the room's theme. The game's flow was great. We never had to pause to figure out our next move. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK Some colors and props require updates as a few were hard to read. One puzzle at the start was confusing because of the "clues" written on them, which actually added to the confusion due to the labeling. Hopefully, fixing the sensors so all sides can be detected will resolve this. A trigger had a delay after we completed a sequence, causing us to repeat it several times. Eventually, we realized we had the correct solution but just needed to wait for a bit. One of the puzzles in the final room seemed out of place with the theme due to the prop used for the clue. We are uncertain if we fully understood the storyline, particularly how the last action we took connected with it. Why was it necessary to do that to indicate we had completed our wizard training? Perhaps the storyline could be clearer. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This game is an ideal starting point for young wizards eager to explore the enchanting world of escape rooms. It introduces players to the genre with a magical setting that sharpens their problem-solving skills through engaging puzzles requiring keen observation and attention to detail. As players advance, they face increasingly complex challenges, maintaining an approachable difficulty that excites rather than overwhelms. The game also features spell-casting and tactile challenges, enhancing the immersive experience and adding authenticity to the magical theme. Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE Just like being checked in at the airport, our GM gave us boarding tickets and led us to an actual airplane door to board the flight. It was an authentic experience right from the start. This is not the first airplane themed escape room that we've played, but it's definitely the best one in terms of set design. You'll encounter real airplane seats, take off and landing lights, vibrations, announcements, and other real equipment. Because the owners of QuestAir Escape Rooms used to be pilots, they knew exactly what to do to bring authenticity to the look and feel of this game. The puzzles were fun and some actually involved us thinking outside of the box. It was great for the creator to insert the storyline into the puzzle creation to make everything seem reasonable. Our favorite part of the game was obviously the plot twist that we can't really discuss here. All I can say is that you'll love it as that was when the adrenaline really started to kick in. The lighting, sound and the "personal touch" really presented us with an exciting and satisfying ending. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK One of the puzzles in the room could be played out of order as it could be easily brute forced. It would be great if there's someway to prevent that as it would take us out of the immersion if the GM has to inform us to solve that puzzle later as focus on something else first. Certain puzzle props or rearrangement of the order could also prevent this confusion in the game flow. Some props could be refurbished as we were not use to how much "force" we had to use to pop open something. Later on in the game, we couldn't really hear the speaker from another part of the room. It would be great if the speakers could be heard throughout the game, but this could be due to a malfunction just on that day. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This game was our favorite airplane themed room so far. The puzzles and set design was as real as it can get to a real life situation. The urgency was definitely felt by us and we were very eager to escape. This was one of those games where I was glad it's just a game and not something I'll have to experience ever in real life. If you like to travel by flying and want to experience a little challenge while airborne (well maybe a bit more than a challenge...), then it's time for you to board "Flight 301" ! This one stood out to us since it's on a moving train and to an exotic location too! We've actually done a good amount of train themed escape rooms and this one was one of the most completed set designs from entering an actual station with a ticket to a station booth to actually boarding the train and finally exiting it. I loved how the game started on the other side of the turnstile, gating us right away from progressing forward. It was nice to be able to utilize the various tools that we would normally find in a train station in order to make certain props works. The puzzles definitely revolved around the theme. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK We felt that by adding some flickering light effects and train sound effects it would add to the immersive experience and make it seem like it was actually moving. The ending didn't achieve the adrenaline rush that a heist should have. We also felt like a certain twist could've been added as there's potential in the actual space of the finish line. Perhaps one final puzzle with a "timer" to keep the energy up? 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? We love heist-themed games because the overall objective always requires a variety of acts to be performed and puzzles to be solved. As a native New Yorker, this game definitely made me feel right at home. The puzzles were not so difficult especially for enthusiasts but they do have two versions that they can run, so if you want the more challenging version definitely mention it at the time of the booking. The room is also quite spacious for larger groups but also playable with just a team of two if you're more experienced. Either way, it's a really fun room!
