Twas the night before Christmas and all through the North Pole, not a creature was stirring, not even...a reindeer? It is only one hour until the clocks turn midnight and Santa needs to deliver presents to the good little boys and girls around the world. The jolly old fellow has lost all nine of his reindeer and won’t be able to start his journey without them. It is up to your team to find all of the reindeer and arrange them in his sled to save Christmas.

The game is played over telescape and uses the program to its full potential. There are videos, clickable objects and locks aplenty. Navigate in between scenes with a sidebar on the left side of your screen. When there are houses/doors to enter, they will overlay in front of the screen to show that you have ventured inside. The game has a great north pole feel that is sure to get any little ones, and little ones at heart, excited for the holidays. Santa will be narrating for most of the game so it is recommended that each player has headphones on so as to not cause feedback if playing fully remotely.
Escape the Crate has designed this to be an experience for the whole family. There are more simpler puzzles in this game than in some others offered by them. This is not a kids only game though, some of the puzzles will still take some clever sleuthing to deduct the final answer.

The puzzles in this game are observational biased as well as logically intuitive. Expect to find details hidden throughout the north pole on how each lock and puzzle is solved. There are also a lot of hidden references that put the whole family in the Christmas spirit. As advertised, this is a family friendly game and the puzzles reflect that in how they are solved. They are straightforward in the fact that most people will understand the logic in how they are solved but some of them do take a bit of time and would best be completed with teamwork to deduce the solutions quickly.

Reindeer Games is a fun Christmas game put together to appeal to family and friends alike. The game is on the simpler side so as to get the whole family involved in an escape room experience. The puzzles logically make sense and four experienced puzzlers had no issues with crafting out the solutions. The theme and story are well put together and having Santa narrate to the group is a great way to keep everyone engaged and immerse each player in the game. If you are looking for a game to play during this holiday season, Reindeer games is one game you won’t want to be left out of.
