📖 THE STORY

Mario has decided to open up an underground bar in the real world and plans to invite his friends from the video game realm to join the excitement. Unfortunately, the game's villains have discovered his scheme to create a portal and are now crossing over as well! Act quickly, defeat them in the games, and make your escape to the real world, or risk being stuck in the video game world forever!

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

• The seamless transition from entering a secret "underground bar" to being transported into an 8-bit landscape was notably impressive, especially given the limited space. The game is filled with innovative concepts.

• Players will encounter numerous Easter eggs and props from various video games throughout the experience, offering a wealth of nostalgic moments.

• The game ingeniously transformed video game elements and props into life-sized items, allowing us to solve puzzles and complete levels, which truly made it feel like we were part of the video game experience. This was really enjoyable!

• The puzzles presented a wide range of challenges, some requiring keen observation, others demanding physical activity, and some necessitating logical thinking.

• A particularly enjoyable aspect of the game was the ability to cooperate and solve challenges together, making us feel like player 1 and 2 working as a team.

  
  

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

• We would have appreciated prior notification from the Game Master regarding an item that was malfunctioning at the start of the game. This would have eliminated any confusion about whether the puzzle was solved after the Game Master bypassed it.

• There was an input device that we were not aware could be utilized twice during the game.

• A bonus puzzle later in the game caused confusion because the item associated with it could have been opened earlier if we had solved the bonus puzzle. However, it eventually opened when we completed another task. The items intended for the bonus puzzle remained unused, leading to uncertainty throughout the game. It is unclear if this additional component is necessary.

  
  

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

If you are an fan of video games, particularly classics such as Nintendo's Super Mario, Space Invaders, or Pac-Man, you will find this escape room highly enjoyable. It effectively brings these games to life, allowing you to interact with them directly. Although the escape room lacks a significant storyline, its primary goal is to accomplish missions and progress through the final door. Introducing more narrative elements, such as a rescue mission, could enhance the immersive experience for players. Bonus puzzles would be more engaging if they were standalone challenges where players could earn points or coins, rather than serving as shortcuts for solving subsequent puzzles. This game demonstrates great potential, especially given its longevity and the fact that it was innovative at its inception. I look forward to the possibility of a 2.0 version in the future!
