Your village found two bite marks on the neck of the village innkeeper, Nick. And now, all of you are alerted of the presence of vampires amongst you in your little hamlet. However, not all is lost! There’s a prophet and cleric amongst you, one who can see the truth behind each person and one who can protect another villager from the vampires. Solving the puzzles in front of you, keeping in mind that the group will vote out one villager each night, will you be able to find the truth behind each villager before it’s too late?

YouEscape games work as if you were solving a series of puzzles onsite itself, except that it was through a virtual call. Headed by our Game Master - Nick, the game proceeded as if we were on location, with Nick reading out the rules, the lore, and how the gameplay was going to proceed.

All materials for the game are accessible via Google Drive, where the relevant links are provided via the virtual meeting room. As the game starts, all players are able to go through online materials, weave through links, discuss solutions on the spot, and watch as the timer ticks down. Through the game, the Game Master also provides hints and nudges if the player team begins to venture off course a little much (which we almost did) or are stuck at a decision for a little too long (which we definitely were).

All in all, the Game Master is there as needed. Just note that each booking slot for these games are set according to UTC, Greenwich Meridian Time, so do keep that in mind while booking your games.

All the puzzles here did not need external knowledge for them to be solved, which was a good thing considering how easy it was for us to slide down the rabbit hole of some of the provided links. Each stage of the game comes in a single folder, and results in receiving a password that will unlock the next.

Players who have a heightened sense of curiosity and discovery might want to stay prudent in their gameplay, as some of the locations and materials given can result in players diving down a slippery slope of red herrings. In this case, thank goodness we had Nick for the first couple of times that we tripped up.

On that note, it might also help to go through all the materials you have in each puzzle folder as a whole and as a team before deciding your next step - this would help you remember and focus on what you need to do for that particular puzzle stage.

There’s always an advantage of having a Game Master onsite whenever you are playing a Real Escape Game - Nick’s hints and nudges, especially when we were falling too far off the edge. For players who would like a hands-off approach, however, may also choose to communicate this preference, considering how open communication was throughout our gameplay.

If you’re a team who loves the experience of playing games like Mafia, Ultimate Werewolf or Vampire, Murder Mystery #3 is going to be right up your alley. This is especially in the final stage, when the team’s (note, the team’s) win condition is made clear from the start of the game and as you go along with gameplay.

Good luck, players. May none of you be needlessly be sacrificed in the name of false accusations.
