  • Escape From Home - "The Grand Diamond Heist"

Photos above has been provided by Escape From Home Company: Escape From Home Game: The Grand Diamond Heist Country: United Kingdom πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Type of Game: DIY Escape Kits πŸ–¨οΈβœ‚ Genre: Heist Language: English Date Played June 16,, 2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 6/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited Price: Β£10 Digital Version/ Β£15 DIY Version Escape From Home have various selections of digital escape games and DIY escape kits on their website. We tried one of each from these two categories and below are our thoughts on them. There are also three digital games on their website that you can try out for FREE. We've been recruited to steal the Grand Diamond inside a high security bank. Once you purchased the game you'll receive several PDF files: self guided hints, setup guide, low ink version (we printed about 10 pages and the other ones we're able to visualize), color version and an answer sheet. There were a total of 8 puzzles and several of them required cutting and visualization. Our favorite puzzle was the last puzzle as we enjoyed assembling the "tool". The puzzles were not very difficult so they could definitely be attempted by new players. We liked how the self guided hints were subtle but if you didn't get it, you were able to refer to the detailed answer sheet that will wipe away any confusion. We've played games where the hint system didn't help at all and you only received a solution but no explanation. Props to the company on making such a comprehensive solution packet. If you wanted to host this game as a "At Home Escape Game", the set up guide made it very easy to follow and there is even an online link where you will be able to check answers while hosting! *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** Disclosure: We thank Escape From Home for providing us with a sample of the games. • Escape From Home - "History Re-Written"

Photo above has been provided by Escape From Home Company: Escape From Home Game: History Re-Written Country: United Kingdom πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Type of Game: Digital Escape Game πŸ’» Genre: Sci-Fi Language: English Date Played June 16,, 2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 7.5/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: 90 Minutes Price: Β£10.00 Escape From Home have various selections of digital escape games and DIY escape kits on their website. We tried one of each from these two categories and below are our thoughts on them. There are also three digital games on their website that you can try out for FREE. This digital escape game had a really cool concept. It was build on a time travel theme based on real life events. As we solved each puzzle, a portal would open up and take us to another era. From there we would have to solve another puzzle in order to alter the past for a better future. The game started off a bit slow for us as it had a good amount of reading and there was one puzzle that would probably take some time for new players (you'll probably need to print this page out if you are unable to do it on the computer). If there could be an option to incorporate a prerecorded reading to read each character's story in different eras, it would make the digital game feel more immersive. As we started to grasp the game design, it became more enjoyable. There were many variations of puzzles and we were glad they mixed the level of difficulty from one puzzle to another. This way, we were able to take a breather in between. One puzzle in particular gave us a good laugh and because of this, you got our vote! *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** Disclosure: We thank Escape From Home for providing us with a sample of the games. • The Panic Room - Gravesend - 6 Digital Escape Games

Videos/ Photos have been provided by The Panic Room - Gravesend The Panic Room currently offers 8 digital games with 2 others on the way. We reviewed 6 of them and below are our thoughts on each of them. Company: The Panic Room - Gravesend Language: English Country: United Kingdom πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Type of Game: Digital Escape Game πŸ’» Date Played: Various Time: Approximately 1-2 Hours We loved the production value "The Panic Room" had put into each of their digital games. The intro videos were very engaging and the actors all seemed to be professionals. Each story line also came with an ending video which gave us the feeling of closure. They definitely created a complete experience. You are able to play alone or with friends over a Zoom party. The games could be played on PC/Tablet/Phone. Game: CSI: Grounded Genre: Detective Difficulty (based on 2 players): 6/10 Price: Β£20.00 The Story: Avery Stone was killed on Flight 9201. There were many suspects on the same flight. Who could be the killer? I have been a fan of murder mystery TV shows and games for a long time. This game was right up my ally. I loved the way the game designer was able to utilize evidences from the murder and make them into puzzles. We've played many murder mysteries that were just focused solely on deductive reasoning and finding out who the killer was but did not feel satisfied with the puzzles. I'm glad this game was able to combine fill that void. Game: CSI: Mafia Murders Genre: Detective Difficulty (based on 2 players): 5/10 Size of Team: 1-8 Players (across one or multiple locations) Price: Β£20.00 The Story: There was a murder at Bonnetti VIP Lounge. This lounge belongs to a mafia family. They hired us to find out who's the killer. This story line and puzzle format felt more like deductive reasoning. We were presented with many different suspects, alibis and evidence. We had to sift through all of them in order to piece together who was the real murderer at the end. This game also felt easier than CSI: Grounded as we finished in about 40 minutes or so. It was nice to see that even though this was another CSI themed game, the puzzles and game play was totally different. Game: CSI: Stranglehold Genre: Detective Difficulty (based on 2 players): 5/10 Size of Team: 1-8 Players (across one or multiple locations) Price: Β£20.00 The Story: We were in search of serial killer ,"The Eastside Strangler". We have to stop the bloodshed on the streets of London once and for all! This one is our favorite one out of the CSI series. The way the puzzles were depicting the trails of the serial killer drawn us into the game right from the beginning. We felt like real detectives following breadcrumbs left by the this psycho killer. The DNA samples, facial recognition, suspects interviews all fit seamlessly together to create the final ending. We really enjoyed watching this bad guy getting put away for life! Game: Mainstage Mayhem Genre: Mystery Difficulty (based on 2 players): 5/10 Size of Team: 1-6 Players (across one or multiple locations) Price: Β£10.00 The Story: The "Not Dead Yet" festival was suppose to go on on Saturday but the production manager stole the money and locked away the kit. We have to save the day and get the festival back up and running! Although no outside knowledge was needed for the most part, music lovers might have a little bit of an advantage in this game. Most of the puzzles in this game was trying to mimic the real life situation of preparing for a concert. You'll definitely encounter some sound puzzles in this game so be prepared to channel your inner Beethoven. Game: Mansion: Impossible Genre: Thriller Difficulty (based on 2 players): 5/10 Size of Team: 1-6 Players (across one or multiple locations) Price: Β£10.00 The Story: Not sure how we wondered into this mysterious mansion but now we are stuck in it along with Geoff the ghost. Hopefully he'll be able to help us get out before midnight? This game was very cute. It was a different type of "finish" by The Panic Room. While all the other games felt like real life situations, this one gave us the vibe of a video game or animation. This game was also was the closest we felt to a digital escape game. You were able to solve each area with a code and then it will unlock another area. Kids would probably like this game due to the colorful graphics and "creepy" mansion sounds. Game: My Dearest Emily Genre: Romance Difficulty (based on 2 players): 4/10 Size of Team: 1-4 Players (across one or multiple locations) Price: Β£15.00 The Story: When John and Emily were separated during the Oklahoma land rush in 1889, their only way to communicate their love for each other was through letters. What was written in them? When we saw how much reading there was going to be in this game, we purposely put this game at the end for reviewing. I was glad we did because we really loved it. There were 12 letters total and every letter represented a month. John was away working hard to build a future for his love Emily. The letters were read out loud by the soothing voice of Emily throughout the game(which made the really long letters rather pleasant than scary). Each letter was embedded with a different type of puzzle. There was even a meta puzzle at the end! The story line was beautifully written and almost made me cry a few times. It felt like watching "The Notebook". Every time we got to the next month puzzle, I wanted to solve it quickly so I could see them together again. There was a delightful surprise at the end if you were able to successfully reunite them. • The Escape Game - TEG Unlocked: The Heist "Vol. 1: Chasing Hahn" & "Vol. 2: The Silk Road"

Videos/ Photos provided by The Escape Game Company: The Escape Game Game: Vol 1: Chasing Hahn & Vol 2: The Silk Road Country: USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game πŸ’» Genre: Mission, Adventure, Crime Date Played: 5/30/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 6/10 Size of Team: Recommended 1-4 Players Time: 60 Minutes Price: $10.00 each We have always been a fan of The Escape Game's physical escape rooms, so we were very excited to try out their digital games. "The Heist" was build around an agent trying to track down an art thief named Vincent Hahn. Currently there are two volumes with the third one on its way. The first volume, "Chasing Hahn", was the first time we "met" with our field agent. He's great at portraying his character. At times he made us nervous about the situation and other times he made us burst in laughter with his jokes. Our mission was to uncover Hahn's true identity, connect him to a crime and work with Interpol to bring him to justice. We played this game over zoom with our friends Team Bluefish. Each of us had downloaded a version of the evidence files before the game. This worked really well since we're able to search for clues separately and input our confirmed results together on the shared screen. I loved how we were able to identify some of the physical rooms we've played at "The Escape Game" in their videos. They were great Easter eggs. We played volume 2, "The Silk Road", on our own. Hahn has escaped again. This time our field agent was sent to Hong Kong to try to catch him before he could steal anymore artifacts! We were glad to see different types of puzzles were incorporated into this sequel than the previous episode. I'm super impressed at the field agent's Chinese. The part where he ordered noodles was spot on! With that said, you'll have some advantage on a puzzle if you actually read Chinese. Since I am fluent in Chinese, I had a lot of fun enjoying watching my partner writing them down in squiggly lines as I laid back and just pointing out the right answers to him. The interface of this game was very easy to use and very organized. As you finished one mission, you're debriefed on what you need to do next. All the files then will open for the next mission. The puzzles were not difficult but still took us around 40 minutes or so per each game. It was really easy to follow and we had a great time with both volumes. We can't wait to play volume 3 and see what Hahn is up to this time! I don't think they are offering these anymore after they came out with the digital version but just so you can see what the box version of this online adventure used to look like: (If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!) • LockedInHome - "Relive the Moments" & "Collect the Infinity Stones"

Photos above are property of LockedInHome Company: LockedInHome Country: Hungary πŸ‡πŸ‡Ί Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game πŸ’» Date Played: March 28, 2021 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited (Approx. 90 Minutes) Price: Β£9.99 πŸ†ƒπŸ…·πŸ…΄ πŸ…ΆπŸ…°πŸ…ΌπŸ…΄ πŸ…ΏπŸ…»πŸ…°πŸ†ˆ Both "Relive the Moments" and "Collect the Infinity Stones" were designed on the same interface. Our group of 4 were able to login to the game at the same time using the same code. An optional PDF file was provided but it wasn't necessary for solving the puzzles. All the puzzles and images were embedded on their interface. Answer inputs were done directly on their website or via a chatbot. There were times we had to use outside resources like QR scanner, 360 video on YouTube, Google maps, and other search engines. One thing I would have love would be for the creator to cut down on the use of window tabs. There was many times when we were confused on where to input answers, which tabs were still important and which we accidentally closed (Update 4/14/21: The creators has taken our suggestion and have worked on cutting down and making clear of usage on the window tabs). πŸ†ƒπŸ…·πŸ…΄ πŸ…ΏπŸ†„πŸ†‰πŸ†‰πŸ…»πŸ…΄πŸ†‚ "Relive the Moments" had more puzzles that felt like trivia questions for fans. We had some players in our group who's quite familiar with characters in Harry Potter and was able to save us some research time from Google. My favorite puzzle was an audio puzzle where Parseltongue was used. The 360 videos that took us into the world of Harry Potter was also a unique way to utilize as a puzzle design platform. "Collect the Infinity Stones" felt less connected to the theme than the Harry Potter game. We had to search for the stones through various realms and portals and at times we had to search for real locations through Google maps. The 360 video puzzle in this game was quite difficult to visualize and being fans of Marvel, we didn't feel like there were enough references that connected the story line/characters to the puzzle design. πŸ…²πŸ…»πŸ…ΎπŸ†‚πŸ…ΈπŸ…½πŸ…Ά πŸ†ƒπŸ…·πŸ…ΎπŸ†„πŸ…ΆπŸ…·πŸ†ƒπŸ†‚ Collect the Infinity Stones" felt a bit unfinished. There were some moments in there we felt like didn't connect as a whole. The ending had a choice option which would've been cool if the different choices would've given us different ending but instead it's the same no matter what we chose. I wish it had a more impactful conclusion. "Relive The Moments" was our preferred game out of the two. It really captured some of the scenes and characters from Harry Potter. From the hidden headquarters of Ministry of Magic to the Gringotts Wizarding Bank, it bought back memories of the movies. The puzzles stuck to the theme throughout the game and we had a great time competing as a team to answer the trivia components. Overall, I do enjoy having these popular movies translate into digital games. It definitely serves as a nice remembrance to these masterpieces (especially if you are a fan). I love to challenge the creators with "Saw" for the next game? Game: Relive the Moments Genre: Fantasy, Magic Difficulty (based on 4 players): 6/10 πŸ†ƒπŸ…·πŸ…΄ πŸ†‚πŸ†ƒπŸ…ΎπŸ†πŸ†ˆ Relive your Harry Potter moments through this game by talking to wizards, searching through the school of magic, learning to talk with snakes, and ultimately find the prophecy! π”Όπ•Šβ„‚π”Έβ„™π”Όπ•‹β„π”Όβ„π•†π•†π•„π•–π•£π•€ ℙ𝕒π•₯π•£π• π•Ÿβœπ•€ π•‹π•™π• π•¦π•˜π•™π•₯𝕀 Andrew K. For fans of Harry Potter, there is a lot to love about the lore and detail involved in this escape room experience. If you have an encyclopedic knowledge of Harry Potter, then you're going to love the puzzles and Easter eggs along the way. If not, you should still be able to use deductive reasoning to get to the solution - it'll just be slower and without nerderiffic satisfaction. The escape room uses some neat VR components and a wide variety of puzzles. The hint system is also fairly easy to use when you need it. The puzzles ranged from fun and easy, while a few were time-sinks or required some leaps of logic. It was still fun and there was a nice mix of pen/paper puzzles and a couple digitally interactive puzzles. The interface was a bit clunky and perhaps there were too many windows opening that made it a bit hectic, so remember to be patient. But if you're an Potter fan, this could be a good option for you. Hanna N. There are a variety of puzzles and different types of media used which I liked, I did laugh out loud after listening to one specific audio recording. They also have some pretty cool videos that I really enjoyed. However a few too many of the puzzles weren't logical, where we either had to guess the solution or check for it in the hints. And some of the puzzles still didn’t make sense, even after reading the solution. The strength of the game is definitely that it follows the books and that it’s packed with Harry Potter knowledge and stories. A big fan of the books could quite possibly solve a few of the puzzles without reading all the texts. Which would be nice, because there was quite a bit of text to read, spread out over many, many browser tabs (this game is not for those who can not handle a LOT of open tabs). For me this adventure didn’t do the trick. Would I recommend it to an escape room enthusiast? No. Would I recommend it to a Harry Potter enthusiast? Maybe. Game: Collect the Infinity Stones Genre: Fantasy, Superheroes Difficulty (based on 4 players): 5/10 πŸ†ƒπŸ…·πŸ…΄ πŸ†‚πŸ†ƒπŸ…ΎπŸ†πŸ†ˆ It's time to assemble your team and retrieve the infinity stones. Thanos has wiped out half of the universe and it's up to you to make the right choice. You can either help Thanos and destroy humankind or save the world with the Avengers. The fate of the world is in your hands... π”Όπ•Šβ„‚π”Έβ„™π”Όπ•‹β„π”Όβ„π•†π•†π•„π•–π•£π•€ ℙ𝕒π•₯π•£π• π•Ÿβœπ•€ π•‹π•™π• π•¦π•˜π•™π•₯𝕀 Helen B. This game sounded like a great mix of play from the website description so I had high hopes for this one, especially with the Avengers theme (they also have a Harry Potter themed game). The aim of the game is to collect 6 infinity stones by solving themed puzzles and entering codes into the site. At one point there is also a chatbot style chat with Dr Strange who requires answers to things. The site says there are things to print, and you do get a file to print at the beginning, but we found that we did not need to print them out after all. Everything is workable and presented online. The premise is nice to have a mix of methods, but the execution of the site means that you just end up with a crazy amount of browser tabs open and if you accidentally close the chat you have to go through the whole thing again putting in the answers. There is a simple Math puzzle which is presented on a huge screen full of pattern and characters which we had to zoom right out to see the whole thing. There is also a weird asteroids game overlaid on this screen which at first seemed to be unconnected to the game! The instructions for the games were a little unclear at times and we had to refer to the hints a number of times, not fully understanding a couple of them until we had done so. It took us a long time to get to the end and I was getting a little tired of it by then. I think that this could be a great game if the elements were polished up a little and with a consistent style, put into one interface so that it doesn't require multiple tabs, and a password entry system added. Using multiple password-protected pages led to an inconsistent experience which I didn't enjoy as much as I had hoped. Helena P. As a comic book fan it was exciting to find a game to combine my love of escape games with my nerdy love of superheroes. Whilst the puzzles contained images relating to the marvel universe it would have been nice if the stories and characters had held a little more relevance to the puzzles rather than just being for decoration. The game involved an interesting mixture of mediums, with based visual puzzles combined with more technical elements like 3d videos, it felt like there was something there to suit different tastes. A few of the puzzles we found a little obscure and confusing even with explanations and one particular puzzle involving guessing a certain baby tree characters emotions from audio clues felt incredibly difficult. Overall, the game offers a good variety of puzzles with an interesting and interactive approach to online escape games, but it's probably bot for beginners! *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** Disclosure: We thank LockedInHomeΒ for providing us with samples of the game. • Trapped In The Web - "Lockdown Breakout"

Photo above has been provided by Trapped In The Web Company: Trapped In The Web Game: Lockdown Breakout Country: United Kingdom πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game πŸ’» Genre: Mystery Date Played: 5/27/20 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 6.5/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited Price: Β£8.99 We were staying in a ShareBnB for the last 14 days and finally got notice that we were able to return back to the world to start our jobs again. Bad news was that, the host of the ShareBnB was very paranoid and decided to lock us in! "Lockdown Breakout" was a very unique digital escape game experience. Once you purchase the game, you'll be sent a link to the game immediately. The entire game was build on google form. It's integrated with videos to show you rooms and locks (similar feeling to an avatar showing you a remote escape room). Every time you solved a puzzle, a video would show the unlocking of the lock and what items were now available to be used. It would great to integrate a inventory list as we were unsure what we've used and what was still available to us. There was one area that contained a lot of the items we needed to solve several puzzles with but it was a bit hard to get to on the google form since you'll have repeat the previous steps in order to get back to that area. The good thing was that when a lock was opened, it will stay open. So even if we decided to go back to a certain area, we wouldn't need to enter the code again. It would be great to add some music for ambiance as it does get pretty quiet throughout the game, especially when the videos were playing. This was a great way to enjoy a remote escape room experience without spending the big bucks. Since there's no time limit on the game, you can use it to practice your "lock opening" skills and play the game in "leisure mode". You are able to enjoy it as a family or play with a shared screen with friends over zoom. There's no printing or cutting. Everything you need will be in the game itself. There's a self guided hint system that will be able to help you throughout the game. It seems like our spaceship is in trouble! It collided with an asteroid and we only have 30 minutes before it will crash into Earth. We need to repair the ship and save all the crew members and more importantly, Earth! The puzzles were build around the use of the spacecraft instruction manual. It was clear which clues went with which puzzle. The game had a nice flow. We felt like we were progressing and "repairing" the ship as we completed each puzzle. Since the puzzles were not so difficult, this would be a great game for kids too. We really enjoyed the short 20 minutes we had with it and wanted more. At least one of us got a new "friend" on this journey ;) *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** Disclosure: We thank Questventure for providing us with a sample of the game. • Questventure - "Cocktails, Spies & Murder"

Photos have been provided by Questventure Company: Questventure Game: Cocktails, Spies & Murder Country: United Kingdom πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game πŸ’» Genre: Detective, Espionage Date Played: 8/13/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 4.5/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: 90 Minutes Price: Β£9.99 This was the second digital game we've tried by Questventure. Their first game, "Cosmic Panic", was a shorter game in terms of play time but we really enjoyed the theme and the concept. We were patiently waiting for a longer game and finally it's here! Our mission this time was to uncover a mole and the cocktail that killed the victim. There are several ways you could play this game. Since the puzzles weren't too difficult, you could certainly chose to tackle the game alone. If you like to play it with a group of friends over the internet, it's definitely doable by using a conferencing hub. We played the game collaboratively over "Pub Hub". The interface does not sync the actions of the players but you could easily communicate the puzzles and enter the solutions at the same time. Since the puzzles were not linear, it made it easy to divide and conquer. If you are feeling competitive, feel free to start the game at the same time and see who will cross the finish line first. The clock will start counting right away so make sure you're ready as there's only 90 minutes to complete the game. The two missions were clearly stated at the beginning of the game and the difficulty level of the puzzles were divided based on the missions. One mission had puzzles that were more difficult than the other. Majority of the time you'll be searching and solving puzzles on the main interface. There was a separate web page that was given to us to use with the main interface. Google was also quite helpful in a few instances. We were surprised by the various types of puzzles that were incorporated into this one game. The interface and the hint system was also very straightforward. There were many innovative ideas on how drinks could be utilized with the puzzles. The overall feeling we had about this game was that Questventure wanted to create a game that players could enjoy by solving the puzzles at a continuous pace to help the story develop as each solution reveals a part of the mystery. The final puzzle stitched the puzzles together perfectly. At the end of the game, we were ready to make our own "victory drink". Cheers to Questventure for taking us on another fun adventure! *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** Disclosure: We thank Questventure for providing us with a sample of the game. I'm glad we tried this last night as it was a very different experience. The entire game was designed in a PDF. You won't be needing any outside searching tools. By solving the puzzles, your solution will be your clue to where you have to go or who you will have to meet next. It did get a bit confusing for us at times since there was no way to confirm if we were correct or not. This led to different choice paths. It was still fun to backtrack what we've missed as there were always new evidence that we've found along the way. We really liked the color schemes of this game. The black and white made us feel like we've been transported back in time. The red light gave a bit of the seductive mystery sensation. We played these on two separate days and some puzzles took us seconds while others took a bit longer(no printing needed). The variations of puzzles from different companies kept us entertained throughout the quest. It was also nice of them to think of the heroes during COVID period and this is a great way to give them a shout out. We hope you can also support the escape industry when this is all over by coming out to play their amazing games! ***This game is no longer available*** (If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!) #ESCAPETHEROOMers #AtHomeGames #EscapeRooms #EscapeRoomsOfNewEngland #EverydaySuperheroes #AlwaysSavingOurButts #OnlinePuzzleGames #fun #covid #heroes #stayathome #community

  • Locked On The Rock - "High School Hijinks"

Photos have been provided by Locked on the Rock Company: Locked on the Rock Game: High School Hijinks Country: Bermuda πŸ‡§πŸ‡² Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game πŸ’» Genre: Adventure Date Played: 5/21/20 Difficulty (based on 4 players): 6/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited Price: $15.00 This game made us feel like we were back in school again. Our mission was to see if we could somehow hack into the school system and change our bad grades before it gets to our parents. wasn't this everyone's dream when they were young? We loved the story line and humor added to this ingenious concept. There were basic usage of web surfing for information and maybe a total of 3 pages you'll need to print. We completed the game as a group of 4 in 38 minutes. I think we all made our parents proud by earning that "A" at the end and for that, this game deserved an "A" from us as well! *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** Disclosure: We thank Locked On The Rock for providing us with a sample of the game. Although complimentary experience was generously provided, it does not impact our opinion on the review whatsoever. #AtHomeGames #EscapeRooms #LockedOnTheRock #HighSchoolHijinks #DigitalEscapeGame #backatschool #schooltime #homeschool #grades #escapetheroomers #Bermuda

  • Conundroom Quest - "Imaginarium"

Photo above provided by Conundroom Quest Company: Conundroom Quest Game: Imaginarium Country: USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game πŸ’» Genre: Adventure Date Played: 5/18/2020 Difficulty (based on 4 players): 5/10 Size of Team: Up to 8 Players Time: Unlimited (Escaped in 33 minutes) Price: $10.00 (group - up to 8 players) Even though the company wants you to "book" the game, it's only a formality for them tracking how many people have played the game and also for you to formally invite your group to play together. So you can select any time and date but you are not bounded to play then. There's no cost to play this game. You'll receive an email soon after booking with a link that you can share with your group and play together over the internet. We loved the art work in this game. It reminded us of the game "Clue" with the different types of characters. The game started with our team receiving a mysterious letter...there were some choices which could led us to different paths but eventually we were united to solve the puzzles. This is an interested concept as our team debated on if we should take separate paths or stay together. Later we found out that it didn't make a difference but it was fun to share what different experiences we received from the choices we made. We liked how the puzzles gradually got harder to form the metapuzzle at the end. It would've been nice if some sound element was added but that's just us being nit-picky. We would love to see more game creations from Conundroom Real Escape Rooms! • Big Break Hamburg - "Operation Jackpot"

Photo above has been provided by Big Break Hamburg Company: Big Break Hamburg Game: Operation Jackpot Country: Germany πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ Language: English, German Type of Game: Digital Escape Game πŸ’» Genre: Action, Heist Date Played: 5/17/2020 Difficulty (based on 4 players): 6/10 Size of Team: Unlimited (Recommend 1-5 ppl) Time: Unlimited Price: €10.00 This little gem was discovered today all thanks to our friends at Escape Roomers De. Our team of 4 decided to join their Escape Battle today and scored 6th place (47 minutes and 1 stupid hint that we really should've have used)! We were pretty happy being that there were a lot of world champions of Red Bull playing at the event and this was our first time. But back to the game! The narration in English was very clear and we did not have any issues with the puzzle translations. We did encounter one puzzle that needed outside knowledge and were not sure if all the players would be able to solve it without the clue. The sound system in this game was amazing. You should definitely wear a headset when playing this game. It literally sounded like you're in a surround sound movie theater. The story went well with all the puzzles we had to solve. There were many variations of puzzle types and some were very clever. When we successfully rob the casino, everyone had a smile on their face. Make sure to read the game instructions and website description of the game carefully. Perhaps you won't need to use that stupid clue that we had to use... • EscapeMyRoom - "Locked Up"

Photos provided by EscapeMyRoom Company: EscapeMyRoom Game: Locked Up Country: Singapore πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Room (Text & Video) πŸ’» Genre: Thriller Date Played: 5/15/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 3/10 Size of Team: Unlimited. Recommended 1-2 ppl Time: No time limit. We used around 15 minutes Price: Free This game was created by an escape room enthusiast group in Singapore. We really enjoyed the concept of this interaction through "text" and choosing our fate as we go through the scenarios. The videos was actually creepy enough to make me scream a few times...Although there weren't as many puzzles and they were all quite simple, you're really in it for the experience. I liked how it's designed to be replayable. If you successfully escaped without dying at all then you probably scored a 100 (There's no actual scoring system in the game). There are 8 ways you could die if you choice an alternative decision. Each death would be paired with a brutal video. You should definitely die 8 times just to watch them all. • EscapeMyRoom - "Ravenous"

Photos provided by EscapeMyRoom Company: EscapeMyRoom Game: Ravenous Country: Singapore πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Room (Text & Video) πŸ’» Genre: Horror Date Played: 11/2/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 4/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited Price: Free This is the second game created by EscapeMyRoom. We've really enjoyed their first game "Locked Up". It was a very different format of digital game back in May (we haven't seen anything like it) since it was when quarantine just started and there weren't that many digital games on the market yet. We are very excited to check out "Ravenous" and what they've got in store for us this time. The format of the game was designed quite similar to the first game. You're essentially communicating with the character in the game via text message. You can ask them to check certain locations, look through things and solve puzzles. Since the commend functions can only be triggered by whatever sentence proceeds it, you may have to retype the commend for something you need once you get back to that starting point. This was something we noticed in Google form games as well. It would be great if there was a way to create shortcuts to bypass that in future games. Sometimes your choices will trigger a video (these were our favorite moments in the game) and will give you a live view of your selection. In this game, the character starts off at an amazing Airbnb with her boyfriend and then something terrible happens. She reaches out for your help and your goal is to help her escape out of there safely! There were definitely jumpy moments (especially if you decide to play this in the dark) and I probably let out a few little screams. Be careful of the decisions you make as it could cause the character's life! Good thing you have unlimited lives so if you die, you'll just start off at where you left off. There are three endings to this game but we only died once before we escaped so we didn't get to see the alternatives. If you feel like replaying the game and seeing all three endings, let us know what happened in the other two! Are you ready to begin? Then it's time to turn off those lights...
