📖 THE STORY

You and your team have been called in by The Boss! He has an issue that only certain members of "The Family" can deal with. It's up to you to take care of business so don't let him down... or else!!

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE

  • "Safe House" was released 6 years ago. It was definitely ahead of the game back then and it still delivers a great experience today in comparison to some of the games we currently see in the market right now. The owner really takes care of her rooms and does a great job up-keeping all of them. When we entered and saw the props and set design, we really couldn't tell this room was made 6 years ago.

  • The room has a secret mob hide-out type of vibe with a mysterious ambience which went nicely with the storyline. You'll discover "secret" stashes and hidden spots as you play through the game.

  • The puzzles had a great flow with a variety of puzzling challenges to solve along the way! It was nice to see some of the classic traditional puzzles that many escape rooms use till this day.

🧩 MISSED THE MARK

  • There was some sound effects that played from time to time, but I think ambient music could've also been playing throughout the game to enhance the experience. Maybe as time gets closer to the end, an announcement could be heard on the TV that the boss will be returning soon?

  • One prop might need to be a little more accurate or perhaps the clue should state how many digits we need total so there's no confusion on how many we should take from each.

  • The one thing that I was hoping for, was a more climactic ending or something that segued into the next episode. Perhaps a final "clue" that ties in why we are going to "Aunt Sue's Apartment" next?

🏹 TAKE A SHOT?

"Safe House" is the first escape room of a 4-part series by Think Solve Escape. The storylines are semi-connected and each game offers a unique experience that fits into the same universe as the others. You do NOT have to play their other games in order and no prior knowledge is required to complete the game. We actually started with the last and newest game - "The Cellar" and we were immediately drawn to the storyline.

Following "Safe House" is "Aunt Sue's Apartment", "Dr. Chen's Office" and then finally "The Cellar". In our opinion you should totally play all of them as you'll feel the progression and intensity of the storyline and would only discover the epic ending until you finish the 4 part series.

Think Solve Escape has started a new separate storyline starting with "Bubba's Backyard Bar-B-Que and Brouhaha" which was a lot of fun and we've just been told that their new follow-up game "The Witches Cabin" is set to release later this year (check our "Highly Anticipated Games for 2022 list" for updates).

After playing 4 of their games, we have never been disappointed and can always count on a fun and exciting experience at Think Solve Escape! Go play them all!
