  • Live Quest Games - "Murder On Delivery"

Photos have been provided by Live Quest Games Company: Live Quest Games Game: Murder on Delivery Country: Germany ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Language: English, German Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Detective, Murder Mystery Date Played: 7/25/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 5.5/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited Price: โ‚ฌ19/ Team Warning: Don't play this game if you are hungry. The intro video will make you want to order pizza right away. We got a nice background story at the beginning informing us about the town and Frederico's pizzeria. Sadly, a murder happened and evidences are linking it back to the pizzeria. We needed to solve the mystery and save our beloved pizzeria. The game was build around an intriguing story line that unraveled as you dug deeper into Frederico's personal life. This game was meant for players who love reading murder mysteries, digging out dirt from various social medias, uncovering secret email accounts and voicemails, etc. If you were expecting logic puzzles or ciphers, this is not the game for you. There's an online portal where you'll be to enter the series of questions that were related to the murder. We felt that the answers were too general and it was difficult to know if it was supposed to be a sentence or a word. It would be more helpful to set one answer and give hints on how many letters or how many words instead of being so general. We felt that in this case a final solution was also needed on top of the hint system as when the hint system wasn't helpful, we were unable to proceed with the game and had to email the company and wait for their response. Since there were many tabs and items that opened up as the game went on, it was difficult to come back to the game and have to remember the passwords and websites that we previously opened. Although we had some issues with the flow of the game, we did ultimately enjoy the story. It was like reading a murder mystery novel but with added "colors" from photos and videos as enhancers. This made us feel closer to the characters and the "realness" of the story. *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** Disclosure: We thank Live Quest Games for providing us with a sample of the game. Although complimentary experience was generously provided, it does not impact our opinion on the review whatsoever. #ESCAPETHEROOMers #AtHomeGames #EscapeRooms #LiveQuestGames #MurderOnDelivery #DigitalEscapeGame #Detective #MurderMystery #Pizza #Solve

  • Sydney Opera House - "Trials of Wisdom"

Photos have been provided by Sydney Opera House Company: Sydney Opera House Game: Trials of Wisdom Country: Australia ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Adventure Date Played: 7/17/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 6/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited Price: Free Are you up for the "Trials of Wisdom" test made by Sydney Opera House with the help from "Escape This Podcast"? If you are able to find 4 words as answers through the 4 puzzles, you'll be able to earn your certification! The theme of these puzzles revolved around different types of performance art. If you know terminologies from music, instruments or ballet, you probably have a slight advantage at solving the puzzles. We enjoyed looking up some terminologies that we were unsure about and learning about them at the same time. It was great for the puzzle creator to provide a word document of the full transcript of the game as it was quite helpful with one of the audio puzzles. The puzzles were not extremely difficult but we definitely made them more difficult by over thinking. The hint system were not too helpful in our opinion but perhaps they wanted interaction of players with their social media as you are able to reach out for help at @SydOperaHouse (Instagram) or #EscapeTheHouse (Twitter). If you are stuck and need a little nudge, feel free to reach out to us and we'll assist as much as we can remember. We had a lot of fun with the puzzles and most importantly, this game bought back memories of when we were visiting Sydney at the end of 2018 (photos below were taken from the balcony of our cruise cabin). Sydney was such a beautiful city and we would love to go back there one day! • The Hidden Hour - "Flight 9032 - Murder Mystery"

Videos/ Photos provided by The Hidden Hour Company: The Hidden Hour Game: Flight 9032 - Murder Mystery Language: English Country: India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Detective, Murder Mystery Date Played: 7/13/20 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 4/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: 60 Minutes Price: Rs. 199/ per Login (Approx $2.64) We were called in to investigate the murder of a business tycoon on Flight 9032. It seemed like there were a bunch of suspects, each with a different motive. Will we be able to solve this mystery before times runs out? This game had a detailed intro video of what was about to happen. The detective work started from the beginning when the victim began his travel. It then went into detail on who he met, what he ate, etc...It also provided a nice conclusive ending. We felt like we were reliving the memory of the victim through discovered clues from solving the puzzles. For people worried about the usual long reading aspect in a murder mystery, this game had none. It was also quite convenient for them to incorporate the tools we needed to solve the puzzles in the game (i.e. normally we would have to google a decipher website but in this case the link was provided). Our only suggestion would be to add some music or sound elements to enhance the story development. We played the game on separate devices and talked with each other through Pub Hub. It was easy to split the puzzle load and work on different parts. The puzzles were not too difficult and we completed the game in about 38 minutes or so with no hints. Since the timer does count down, you'll probably want to use a self guided hint if you get stuck (if you want to see the ending). "Flight 9032 - Murder Mystery" was a digital game that had a lot more puzzles that other murder mystery game we've played. We preferred this type of game design as we felt more involved and was able to use various types of "tools" rather than just deductive reasoning through alibis from suspects. The best part about this is the conversion rate of rupee to USD. Where are you able to find entertainment for an hour for $2.64? • The Escape Game - "Hanna Unlocked"

Videos/ Photos provided by The Escape Game Company: The Escape Game Game: Hanna Unlocked Country: USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Thriller, Action Date Played: 7/8/2020 Difficulty (based on 4 players): 5.5/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited Price: Free How many of you have watched Hanna on Amazon? We saw the movie Hanna back in 2011 with Saoirse Ronan, Eric Banaactually, and Cate Blanchett. We didn't know that they made it into an Amazon series until "The Escape Game" posted an announcement about this game. We started watching the Amazon series in case we needed information for the game. Currently we are on episode 3 and it's been pretty interesting. If you want to watch the series, you probably don't want to watch the recap video in the game as there will be some spoiler scenes. You don't need to watch the video to solve the puzzles, but if you don't care for spoilers then it's nice to have a back story. It's always exciting to see other industries able to incorporate escape games into their products. Since we know the quality of The Escape Game's production (escape room and digital games), we can't wait to dig in! This digital game is a point and click game and you won't need to print or cut anything. The game has a similar interface as their other digital games. The blue background is pretty iconic to the TEG Unlocked series. Seeing that their other games also had a "chase and find" type of detective vibe, it was a no-brainer for "Hanna" to hire them to develop this game. You'll be greeted by a welcome video followed by instructions on your mission. As you solve puzzles, you'll unlock different folders containing other materials to help you track down Hanna. The interface was very easy to use and it was great to be able to solve the puzzles interactively. The music in the game created a type of urgency like you were actually in the field on a manhunt mission. As we completed a puzzle, we would get an update by video on what our next mission would be. It was nice to eliminate some reading elements and made the game feel like a real life assignment. For international players, there will be a time where you'll need to dial a number (if you don't have a way to make that call, contact us and we'll be happy to help). This is definitely a fun game to gather friends and family to play over a video conference call. After hundreds of digital games played online, this was definitely one of our favorites. Thanks for keeping us entertained for over an hour! And the icing on the cake? It's FREE! *** We regret to inform this game is no longer available for purchase but check out other games on their website*** #ESCAPETHEROOMers #AtHomeGames #EscapeRooms #TheEscapeRoom #HannaUnlocked #DigitalEscapeGames #SciFi #Thriller #Detective #Hanna #AmazonPrime #AmazonOriginal #amazon #chase #detective #spy

  • MyEscapeFrom - "New York City"

Photos provided by MyEscapeFrom Company: MyEscapeFrom Game: New York City Country: United Kingdom ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Adventure Date Played: 7/5/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 7.5/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited Price: ยฃ3.99 We played this game on my birthday. It was quite fitting for the current situation since we're unable to go out to celebrate. Brandon is a 4th generation New Yorker and I have been living in NY since I was 10 years old. We were curious to see how much knowledge we had on our beloved State. The game was build similar to a Google Form style text game. You will be given clues on certain streets or landmarks. If you are not familiar with the history on the area, you'll have to Google to find the name first. Once you figure out where you needed to go, you'll have to use Google map to get there. The clues would eventually lead you to a place where you'll be able to answer the final question. If you were not familiar with the location of the game you're playing, it'll probably take you a good 1-2 hours to complete the game. Since the NY game covered areas outside of NYC, we had to even use Google a few times complete the task ourselves. We have to admit we're not avid fans of these Google map type of game as I'm pretty bad with directions and sometimes Google map is just really hard to follow to a specific spot (the little "yellow man" sometimes doesn't work!). It's also not really "puzzles" but more of a search and find concept. This particular game played more smoothly since NY has a special meaning for us. Even if we were stuck, it was easy for us to find the answer. If you do need assistance, there are self guided hints on their website. It was also quite nice to virtually visit some of the places we frequented when there wasn't a pandemic. There were a lot of wonderful memories we talked about throughout the game like sitting in Central park, cruising on the highway, food hopping all over the city, etc...We can't wait for things to go back to normal but in the mean time these virtual "tours" are great at taking your mind elsewhere. Even if its just for a couple of hours... ** UPDATE - We regret to inform that "Hour Glass Online Escape Room" has closed. • Experios (Virtual Escape) - "Ben's Big Heist"

Photos provided by Experios (Virtual Escape) Company: Experios (Virtual Escape) Game: Ben's Big Heist Country: Australia ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Heist Date Played: 7/4/2020 Difficulty (based on 4 players): 6.5/10 Size of Team: 2-6 Players Time: 60 Minutes Price: $45.00/ Team This was our second time trying out "Virtual Escape" as we were one of the first ones to test out their first digital game "Time's Ticking". The game would require you to book a specific time and date as you'll be communicating with a live host through Whatsapp by text. We recommendation is for you to set up a Zoom call with your group as it makes it a lot easier to work on the puzzles together (Zoom, PubHub, etc...). This time we're joined by our friends at Escape Room Adventurer and we're determined to take every penny from the bank in "The Heist" game. The game started with the host sending us some background information his current situation since he's our man on the ground. It was then followed by some website links and images. Once we received that we're able to start working on the puzzles together. Once we had the answer we would text him back and receive the next instructions. This game really showed our individual teammate's strength as there were puzzles that I was able to solve quickly (especially the one that involved some language advantage) and others that the other teammates were able to complete much faster. It was a lot of fun to see the puzzles gradually get harder as we cracked different vaults. The puzzles also varied in style so some it was faster to work on it as a team and others it was quicker to do individually. The easier puzzles gave less money than the harder ones. Our greed definitely came into play when we had some time left at the end. We had to make a decision to either forgo the remaining money and get away safely or take a stab at cracking the final vault (which was the hardest puzzle) but risk losing everything if we got caught. It was a hard decision to make but our team completed the game looting everything from the bank (a whooping $5,249,000 taking the first place on "The Heist" game) with 3 minutes left (you also get money for time bonus). Bragging moment alert: we were also the first team to take all the money and escape in time! The only thing we would suggest to the game developer is to try to integrate the game onto one platform (perhaps host it on Zoom or another video conferencing site). This way the players do not have to switch back and forth on different devices. This game was definitely our favorite out of the two. The blue print, plans on the heist, different puzzles for the different vault amounts, and ending story made it felt like a real heist. At one point, we were literally sweating as we're getting very close to the ending time but the puzzles were still coming! Now the mission is clear for you. Will you be able to take down our #1 spot on "The Heist" game? (If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!) • Experios (Virtual Escape) - "Jack's Hangover"

Photos provided by Experios (Virtual Escape) Company: Experios (Virtual Escape) Game: Jack's Hangover Country: Australia ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Mystery Date Played: 3/25/2021 Difficulty (based on 5 players): 7/10 Size of Team: 2-6 Players Time: Unlimited (you have 30 days to play the game after purchase) Price: $45.00/ Team ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†ˆ Jack woke up with a major headache. He can't remember anything from last night. Can you help him back track his whereabouts and still be able to catch that flight back home? ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ We created a video conference meetup with our group and started the game with the same game code. The count down clock started right away at the 60 minute mark. If you want to get on the leaderboard. you'll need to finish the game within the 60 minutes. Or, you can play the game at your own leisure and not worry about the timer at all. The game mainly used still photos, written narratives and other website links that would open in pop up windows. Hints were build into the game but it came with a price. You'll need to wait 2 minutes for a new hint to generate and every time you use a hint, there'll be a 30 second penalty. If you still can't figure out the answer after the 3rd hint, the solution will be given after that. Once we started the game, there were a lot of tabs that had to be opened up for various puzzles. We weren't sure if we had to close them or not and which was still needed for a future puzzle. It would be great if the game could be more clear on which tabs to keep. Moreover, one of our teammates accidentally closed one of the windows that he had to input answers on and wasn't able to get back into the game. The creator informed that he should be able to but it would be nice if the game could keep most of the interaction within the game's interface rather than having to open up multiple windows to avoid incidences like this. ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ The puzzles had a mixture of regular logic puzzles, Math, and outside knowledge. Some Googling was required. We totally missed this in the intro but it's definitely good to know as we were struggling with some puzzles not knowing if we could use Google or not. I do like how the puzzles were build into the storyline. One minute you were on the Vegas strip trying to figure out which bar Jack went to last minute and seconds later, you were in the bar looking at the menu trying to figure out which drink he ordered. The graphics were fun and colorful. Make sure you are aware of which photos are mainly for the narratives and which are clues for the puzzle. It was a bit confusing to us by the end of the game since we didn't have to use some of them. ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ When we played Experios' other games Time's Ticking and Ben's Big Heist, it required the use of Whatsapp. This game was a big improvement from that as it integrated everything to online. It also ran pretty smoothly without a GM as the hint system was pretty clear for the player's to guide themselves through the game. The pop up window thing is definitely something that is a personal pet peeve of mine. Some of our other players weren't as annoyed as I was with them. The great thing about this game was that it really did allow us to work together as a team. Some of our players were great at Google maps and others were really quick at the Math puzzle. We each had a moment to shine and that's why we ended up finishing in third place on the leaderboard. Pros Large images allowed for careful examination of the details Concise story helped the puzzles to stand out Cons None This escape game was a great time for our group. Most of the puzzles were exactly the kind of challenge I find interesting and enjoyable to solve. The game told its story only through small bits of text introducing each puzzle. This made the experience almost entirely a puzzle solving affair, which was fine by me. I would recommend this game for experienced players who care more about solving puzzles than the story or art content of a game. Jacqueline G. This was a solid puzzle experience. The only thing is the incorrect verbiage that was used in the Math puzzle which earned us the 1 wrong on the leaderboard (update 4/6/21: the owner did inform us that this has already been fixed). I actually like the time penalty added when getting an answer wrong or getting a clue, especially if the clues are helpful (we didn't use any so I cannot report on this). There was one puzzle that had many ways to solve and was quite difficult even when we realized what it was. I like rooms that force me to use my brain in different ways. Overall I think the game was both user friendly and fun while still challenging. Mike S. Jackโ€™s Hangover is an online puzzle game that follows the adventures of Jack trying to reconstruct his last night in Vegas after a night of partying. If this plot sounds familiar, it is almost an exact replica of the popular movie franchise, it has its own unique story beats though and holds up on its own when trying to solve puzzles in the day after. The user experience is intuitive and simple to use and understand. Most of the pages, the participants will read some text and everything that is needed for the puzzle starts on that initial screen. The game also explicitly tells players what they are looking for in a final solution. Each page you will have a couple tabs open at the same time and although it is not required, having two monitors will greatly help solve puzzles faster. Looking at the puzzle quality in this experience, the players will be able to tell that thought and care went into making a variety of puzzles that connect in the story Jackโ€™s Hangover is trying to tell. Players will NEED to use every resource available to them to solve the puzzles, this means using external resources for information that is not given. All of the information that would be needed is placed in hints and made clear in the text boxes in each puzzle page, players should not have an issue when finding information (assuming players are correctly solving each puzzle). There are a multitude of different types of digital puzzles in this experience and all use the platform to their full advantage. If players are looking for a puzzle evening with friends that include pop culture references, easy to use software, and creative puzzle design, this might be an experience for you. Each step in the story is well thought out and logical. Recovering from a hangover has never been easier. The game was built on a beautiful story starting with an old chest in the attic of the house you just bought. The puzzles started off quite easy and gradually got harder. There were simple logic puzzles along with a few multi-step ones. You'll need to Google as a good amount of puzzles were in the "search and find" category. There was one puzzle that you'll probably need to print and cut as well (we were unable to visualize it on the computer). If you get stuck, there's a build-in hint system. We enjoyed piecing the mystery together by solving one puzzle after another. Since the game was quite long, it was nice to see that the game creators added "breaks" to the chapters. If you wanted to come back to the game, just copy and paste the URL you were on and you'll be able to continue from that point on. There was one particular puzzle we found a bit confusing since we had to retype answers we already entered in order to "open" certain areas. The hardest puzzle we thought for this game was towards the end when we had to use Google maps. We found that Google map puzzles could become difficult if we are not sure exactly what we needed to find. It was also very hard to describe them in the hint system. We had to eventually use the answers for those questions to bypass that section. Overall, we really liked the concept of the game and how it was presented. The ending was very emotional (I'm pretty sure I shed a tear or two) and I'm a sucker for happy endings. The Lost Memory was created by 18 Netherlands escape room owners during this COVID period. Although the game is free, we strongly suggest you give a donation to support them through this difficult time period. For the amount of puzzle content (definitely not easy puzzles) and the captivating story line, it's definitely worth 2-3 hours of your time! *** We regret to inform this game is no longer available*** #ESCAPETHEROOMers #CreatorsUnited #ALostMemory #AtHomeGames #EscapeRooms #adventure #mystery #puzzles #teambuilding #memories #thepast #wartime #future

It seemed like he discovered that this was not a natural cause. Someone has been plotting an evil plan! We needed to save humanity before it's too late... "Resolvo" will be delivered by email once you purchase the game. The game contains 4 PDF files: an answer sheet, a clue sheet, the story line/puzzles packet and a final file which you'll need a password to open. It might make it easier to print out the pages since you'll be looking back and forth for different clues on various pages on the PDF. If you don't have a printer, you can still complete the game without printing anything. We played the game on a dual monitor without printing anything out. The current setup of the PDF pages made the starting of the game rather confusing. There was a lot of information thrown at us but no clear starting point. Once we finally figured out where to start from the "hint" system, everything made sense. This was definitely not an easy game. We finished the first puzzle quite fast and thought we're going to be able to breeze through the game. But thereafter, most of the puzzles were multilayered. There was one basis that a lot of the puzzles were using as a center point of the puzzles and unfortunately this type of puzzle was not our strong suit. We enjoyed the challenge and several puzzles were clever in terms of how they were able to be integrated it into the story line. If you are looking for some challenging puzzles to save humanity from this "Pandemic", then give this game a try! *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** Disclosure: We thank Resolvo for providing us with a sample of their game. At first glance, it doesn't seem like there was much to do when we first opened the game site but as we dug deeper, more secrets revealed. We were able to use the "divide and conquer" method in this game and finished in about 40 minutes. There was a good mixture of logic, deductive reasoning, and search and find type of puzzles within the game. As we solved the puzzles given to us on each page, we were led deeper and deeper into the story line. There was a self guided hint system but it does not provide the final solution. We did run into an incident where we couldn't hear our audio clue very clearly so we couldn't confirm our answers and had to email the company for assistance. They were quite fast on Email but for international players you might have to wait a day. The company is thinking of making this process more automated in the future. We did enjoy the theme of the game. At some points it actually felt very "educational". The hidden "secret" was very interesting to unveil. The puzzles gave us a nice challenge and we spend a good hour on them. We think Sci-Fi fans would particularly appreciate this game. (If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!) Disclosure: We thank Hysteria Escape Rooms for providing us with a sample of the game. Although complimentary experience was generously provided, it does not impact our opinion on the review whatsoever. #ESCAPETHEROOMers #HysteriaEscapeRooms #ProjectBlueBook #AtHomeGames #EscapeRooms #mystery #detective #puzzles #secret #conspiracy

  • Hysteria Escape Rooms - "The Forgotten Realm II"

Photos have been provided by Hysteria Escape Rooms Company: Hysteria Escape Rooms Game: The Forgotten Realm II Country: United Kingdom ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Fantasy Date Played: 7/22/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 6.5/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Time: Unlimited Price: ยฃ15.00 We've played all of Hysteria Escape Rooms's digital games by now and this was our favorite one out of the three. Immediately after starting the game, we felt like we've been transported to the world of "Narnia". Arvior, the wizard needed our help to defend our realm from the evil sorcerer! Our journey began at a mysterious door... As we turned on the provided music track, opened the grimoire (the digital book that contained information that'll assist us on this quest) and put on our "wizard hats", we were greeted by Brian, the talking lion. The surprises does not stop there, there were many enchanted moments that followed. We really enjoyed the creativity on giving a story to various creatures (giants, fairy, goblins, trolls, etc.) and a relevant puzzle that went along with each character. There were various types of puzzles like audio, logic, interactive, etc...The game kept us entertained the entire time. We really enjoyed the improvements of this game comparing two the other two. The answers were much shorter and easier to interpret and there's a self guided hint system (although we didn't use any for this game)! The Forgotten Realm II will certainly not be forgotten by us! • Quarantini Boredom Escapes - "Acorn Cottage" & "NooZoo Park"

Photos provided by Quarantini Boredom Escapes Company: Quarantini Boredom Escapes Country: United Kingdom ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Language: English Price: Free. Donation to charity highly recommended. Game:. Acorn Cottage Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Size of Team: 2 players Date Played: 6/16/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 6/10 Time: Unlimited (Approximately 60 mins) "Acorn Cottage" is a point and click digital game where two players will need to work together in order to solve puzzles and ultimately rescue Professor Acorn and her marvellous Banana-o-matic Deluxe from the clutches of Big Banana (If you haven't noticed yet there'll be a lot of Banana mentioning in the game. We suspect the game designer really loves Bananas). This game was a lot of fun. We played in separate areas in the house and used Zoom to communicate with each other. Since we were provided with different information pending on if you chose to be player 1 or player 2, communication was the key to success. The puzzles were very creative and we enjoyed the back story. We had a full 49 minutes of fun. The best part about this is that the game is FREE. The game designer is mainly doing this for a good cause. If you do enjoy the game, remember to donate to one of these charities! Game: NooZoo Park Type of Game: Audio Escape Game ๐Ÿ‘‚ Genre: Mystery Date Played: 6/20/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 7.5/10 Time: Unlimited (Approx 75-90 minute) "NooZoo Park" is still in beta testing mode. There's no cost to play the game but you'll need someone to host the game in order for the game to be played. If you like to be the host then there's a guide with detailed instructions on how to host the game. You won't be able to play it since you'll be the one distributing and confirming answers for the other players. Players can play as teams or as individuals in competition mode. You'll also need an app where you will be able to communicate with all the players in a chat group but also be able to privately message individual players. The game designer hosted the two of us on zoom to beta test the game. We were also grouped together on Whatsapp in order for the game master to sent us messages as a group and individually. The puzzles were still in a point and click format through their online portal but this time some answers were to be given to the game host over Whatsapp versus entering them online. Once the correct answer was given, the game host will sent you a password for you to go on. The player or team that gets out of the deadly NooZoo first will win the game. We had a lot of laughter throughout the game as some "puzzles" were more for entertainment purposes rather than actual puzzles. Since we were in the same Zoom and I was ahead, I knew exactly how far Brandon was behind me through the conversations he was having with the game host. This also made me feel more nervous since there could be a chance he could catch up to me (but there could be only one winner and that's me! Muhahha). We would imagine this being funnier with a larger group as with two people there were a lot of moments of silence while we're solving puzzles. It would be nice if there could be some background music to set the tone. Since this format could only be played if someone "sacrifices" themselves and be the host, I would definitely suggest buying him/her a cup of coffee/lunch after! (If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!) Disclosure: We thank Quarantini Boredom Escapes for hosting us to beta test "NooZoo Park". #ESCAPETHEROOMers #AtHomeGames #EscapeRooms #QuarantiniBoredomEscapes #AcornCottage #NooZoo #DigitalEscapeGames #Adventure #Mystery

  • Quarantini Boredom Escapes - "Escape from Catland"

Photos provided by Quarantini Boredom Escapes Company: Quarantini Boredom Escapes Game: Escape from Catland Country: United Kingdom ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Adventure Date Played: 3/16/2021 Difficulty (based on 6 players): 7/10 Size of Team: 1+ Players (3-5 Recommended) Time: 1-3 Hours (Approximately) Price: Free ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†ˆ Something strange is happening! There's a microchip that's turning all humans into cats! We must help Dr Woofred Barker (VGB) and stop this madness! ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ This digital game is designed using Squarespace. The puzzles were presented in image formats and it's similar to a point-n-click game. You'll be able to unlock new areas of the puzzle by entering the right codes on the website, Make sure the answers are all in caps. We played the game as a group of 6. Each of us logged into the game with our individual links. The game will not be synced so if you decide to play it as a group, hop on to Zoom or any other conferencing platform and keep each other updated with the passwords so you can progress as a team. The artwork was very cute and we were surprised by how the creator was able to cleverly utilize it with the story line and puzzles. We really enjoyed the time travel theme and few of the embedded puns in the dialogues. One thing I found that I was having issues with was the amount of new windows that I had to keep track with but that may be due to the fact that I kept clicking on the same puzzle since I forgot if I had clicked it or not. Since there's no inventory for this game, it's important to take good notes. I found that snapping a few photos with the phone helped a lot as I didn't have to go back and forth as much on the interface. ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ The puzzles were definitely designed with more advanced players in mind. We finished with 1 hour 32 minutes without taking a break or using any hints. If you feel like you need to take a break, just save the URL of the page you're on but don't forget to write down the passwords. We really enjoyed the innovative ideas that the puzzles were able to incorporate and as experienced players, we loved the challenges. It definitely helped to have our P.I. with us as we were able to divide and conquer. Some puzzles also were easier to solve cooperatively. One of us would be on one page and the others on another page and we're able to communicate information to them so they could decode the messages quicker. We found that having one player share their screen also helped with communication. ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ We're always surprised by the quality of Quarantini Boredom Escapes' games. You can tell the creator put a lot of love and time into it. It's amazing that she's putting these games out for everyone to try for free and all she's asking is for the players to donate to a cause. Definitely give their other games a try as well and if you just started your puzzling journey, try "Acorn Cottage" first. We hope you'll be able to save humankind but if not, turning into one of these cute little things might not be so bad after all? Yoni Y. This online adventure is definitely one of the best we played lately. A series of original and complex-yet-fair riddles. Most puzzles require combining data collected from several locations. No tedious tasks, only paying attention to details and making the grey matter do the work. There are hints available which happily enough we didnโ€™t get the chance to try, though we seriously considered it several times throughout the game. The interface is a rather standard โ€œpoint and clickโ€ game, colorful and easy to navigate. The adventure is considerably long, so you better start it sharp and full of energy. We will definitely look forward to play more adventures from "Quarantini Boredom Escapes". ______________________________________________________________ Dave E. & Catherine B. "Escape from Catland" by Quarantini Boredom Escapes is one for the puzzlers who like a challenge! The game is long and involved and if we didn't have such a great team we would have probably enjoyed it over a few days. The graphics and story are fun and draw you along but really it's about the puzzles, and the puzzles within the puzzles! Highly recommend if this is your jam especially as it's a free game! There are two other games by Quarantini Boredom Escapes that we will definitely be playing.
