📖 THE STORY
The situation at the Monie Motel was a narrow escape, thanks to quick thinking and a timely deal with a demon. You've cheated death twice while helping the McKay family, but your mission continues. Elizabeth warned: “Do not go after Henry… he now goes by No Face.” Now free from the motel, you know your next step. Matty might be in danger, and you must find them. Locals reported seeing a distressed man and a frightened girl heading northeast to their cabin. The McKays have a head start, but you're on their trail. Can you catch up and end this madness? Gather your courage for a new evil in The Cabin: Final Chapter!

🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE
The set design effectively captured the essence of a horror film, creating an unsettling atmosphere. I appreciated that the set began outside the house, with dim lighting, requiring navigation to enter, only to discover that remaining outside might be the safer option.
My initial interaction with the live actor left me momentarily disoriented (in a good way), "impairing" my ability to solve puzzles. However, the actor skillfully provided subtle hints, maintaining an eerie ambiance.
Some puzzles required us to split up, which was pretty intense with just the two of us, making things even more scary since the live actor could pop up anywhere. Luckily, she was fair and got us both!
The set design provided a unique opportunity to navigate the home in an unexpected manner. I appreciate that it goes beyond conventional doors and locks, offering much more to explore.
The timing of the jump scares was impeccably executed, consistently surprising us. The finale delivered an adrenaline rush, leaving us uncertain about whether all mysteries were resolved and if the malevolent spirit was truly vanquished.
🧩 MISSED THE MARK
If you experience discomfort with extensive crawling due to your size and height, and are playing predominantly in dim lighting, this game may not be the most suitable for you.
One of the puzzles involves shape matching and presents a challenge due to the similarity of the shapes, which is exacerbated by the dim lighting. We recommend differentiating the shapes more distinctly to enhance visibility and ease of completion in such settings.
🏹 TAKE A SHOT?
We missed out on playing the earlier versions of the cabin, but wow, it would have been amazing to experience them in sequence! That would have made the storyline even clearer. However, diving into this chapter alone was enough to convince us that we probably don’t want to meet the mysterious "No Face" character. If you're a fan of thrilling horror movies, you're in for a treat! There were moments when I questioned my life choices, but I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. The experience is packed with adrenaline-pumping moments and exciting puzzles to solve—if you can think straight while being scared, that is!
Honestly, I'm usually a bit of a scaredy-cat, and I had no idea there would be a live actor involved. At first, I was convinced "Samara" (that's what I call the character but I'm sure she has a different name) might actually kill me, but over time, I warmed up to her and maybe even became friends? So, if you think you might need some help with the puzzles, I highly recommend interacting and getting the evil spirit to be on your side!
