  • Thirteenth Floor - "Los Angeles Haunted Hayride"

LOCATION: Los Angeles, California, USA Photo above is property of Thirteenth Floor Photo above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 📝   ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME : Los Angeles Haunted Hayride 📅 DATE PLAYED : October 2, 2022 🎬 GENRE : Haunted House Festival 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl) : N/A 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS : N/A 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME : 2-4 Hrs. 💰 PRICE : Starting at $29.99/ pp ☎️ BOOKING TYPE : Public 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED? : N/A Video above is property of Thirteenth Floor 👀 THE EXPERIENCE As one of the self-proclaimed premier haunted attraction in Los Angeles, the Haunted Hayride seeks to scare your pants off at Midnight Falls, a fictional small town set in the 50s where spooks, ghouls and nightmares come to visit for the evening. There are plenty of activities for all who are brave enough to venture forth. In this area, three haunted houses and the titular haunted hayride all seek to provide a terrifyingly fun visit. Check out what happens when crazy clowns take over a meat packing company in the (S)Laughterhouse. Quake in fear as you tour the towns dead in the Midnight Mortuary. Relive your childhood years with more murderous intentions in Trick or Treat, where tricks are far more common than treats. Finally take a tour around the block in a large tractor covered in hay, a ride you won’t soon forget in the Haunted Hayride. In addition to the haunted houses that one can experience during a trip to Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, there are also plenty of other less intense things to do. Food trucks and vendors are set up in an area off to the side for patrons to purchase and snack upon. The main center piece in the town is a large stage that hosts a live band each and every night. They perform covers of popular spooky tunes and inspirational songs based on classic horror films, they are set to rock your socks off. The are four ticket levels, Haunted Hayride allows one time into the singular attraction, General Admission allows a single venture into each of the haunted houses and hayride. The next level is a VIP pass that allows a skip the line upgrade for all of the above activities and platinum pass allows an even shorter line and unlimited admission into the haunted houses. Visiting Midnight Falls is complementary and the scares start as soon as you pass through the pumpkin archway. Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE The atmosphere is wonderful and they did a great job making Midnight Falls feel like a proper small town. There is a radio station being broadcast throughout the evening giving halloween jokes and commentary on events going on through the night as one would expect to hear live during such an event. The actors do a great job as well staying in character and acting as the residents. One could tell that everyone around was having a great time and having that positive energy permeated through the crowd. The band kept a party-like atmosphere going for the duration of the night. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK The haunted houses, while unique and enjoyable to walk though, felt lacking and were short in duration. There were large amounts of blank space and walking with no effects or actors. Every year this haunt is set up near Griffith Park and because it is a temporary venue, the quality of the set pieces are quite similar to each other The Haunted Hayride was a disappointment. As the titular attraction of the event, you could tell a lot of effort went into its production. The unfortunate part is scares don’t land and there is no cohesive story for one to follow or get invested in. Each portion of the hayride takes you to a small scene where one or two actors come up to the tractor and scream in your face. Wash, rinse and repeat for fifteen minutes. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? "Los Angeles Haunted Hayride" is a Halloween Party. One filled with scares and live entertainment aplenty. The atmosphere radiates the feeling of an old 1950’s horror film but doesn’t deliver on the scares as one would expect. The venue is well equipped to handle a large number of people and with the influx of patrons all looking for their scares before All Hallow’s Eve, the lines will get long, the earlier you arrive the less crowded and more enjoyable the experience. For those who are looking for a fun night out with some mild scares check out this large event. ℹ️ ADDITIONAL INFO Free Parking with Shuttles, Live Band, Food and Drink available for purchase, ADA accessible, Outdoor. • Thirteenth Floor - "Shaqtoberfest"

LOCATION: Los Angeles, California, USA Photo above is property of Thirteenth Floor Photo above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 📝   ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME : Shaqtoberfest 📅 DATE PLAYED : October 1, 2022 🎬 GENRE : Haunted House Festival 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl) : N/A 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS : N/A 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME : 2-4 Hrs. 💰 PRICE : Starting at $34.99/ pp ☎️ BOOKING TYPE : Public 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED? : N/A Video above is property of Thirteenth Floor 👀 THE EXPERIENCE It’s halloween party time and Shaquille O’Neal has invited everyone in LA to come and join him in the fun at the titular "Shaqtoberfest" ! The early hours of this event are family friendly and an experience for all, but after the witching hour, it is time for the spooks and ghouls to come and scare the pants off of you. There are activities for all ages, carnival rides to delight, inflatables to bounce on, alcoholic drinks to consume, and horrific mazes to wander. "Shaqtoberfest" takes place at the Queen Mary’s Harbor in Long Beach CA. In years past, locals might remember a unique and popular haunt that takes place in such a location. While not as familiar with what the event/haunt used to be, the harbor is now filled with everything one could want for a party. As you arrive to "Shaqtoberfest" , the first thing you are greeted with is a large inflatable of Shaq’s head, followed by a tunnel to transport you into the sets and spooks for the evening. If you arrive early enough, staff will hand you an orange bag in which you can traverse the grounds trick or treating in a family fun atmosphere. The haunted houses are open to go through but instead of being met with frights, the monsters/actors hand out candy to children of all ages. There are also plenty of activities for younger guests to participate in such as an inflatable bounce pad, obstacle courses and a large slide. It stays this family like atmosphere until the witching hour (signs posted around the grounds will indicate the tonal switch). After the witching hour has started though, the grounds turn into a frightful menagerie of monsters. Four haunted experiences are the star of the attraction. Play carnival games with your life in the Midway of Madness, explore a sunken wreck at Pirates Cove, swim with the fishes in two nautical themed haunts, Deadman’s Wharf and Shipwreck Graveyard. On the other side of the grounds include a maze close to the Queen Mary herself, Lost City Boardwalk, where you are transferred to the heyday of the time the ship set sail and lose yourself in the gangsters and flappers of the 1920’s. No halloween event is complete without a pumpkin patch for the kiddos, in Diesel’s Pumpkin patch, by day is a wonderful fun time for all to walk though but spirits walk there through the night and all bets are off when the witching hour begins. In addition to the haunts, there are plenty of food stalls and drink stands to purchase your favorite treat from. Add into that a main stage DJ spinning halloween tunes for the evening keeping the party going. There is no shortage of things to do at "Shaqtoberfest" ! Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE All of the actors and staff were amazing to be around! They embarrassed the family friendly nature early in the evening and made everyone feel comfortable. Although some costumes might come across as creepy to the younger demographic, the smiles from each and every person shone through The location and atmosphere was a lot of fun to be around. It is a Halloween party and the activities for all ages made it an inclusive event for all to enjoy. Having the first couple of hours for younger kids to trick or treat was my favorite part of the night. Halloween is a very versatile holiday and this allows everyone to celebrate it in manners that they see fit. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK The mazes are mostly short and sporadically decorated. Parts of the grounds felt immersive in the theme they were trying to set such as the ship graveyard and the pumpkin patch. The other areas of the event though, while effort was made, didn’t live up to the quality that was set. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This is an all inclusive event for halloween tricks and treats. When you buy your ticket online, it gets you into all of the haunted houses for the evening. It does not include food and drink which is standard for most of these types of events anyway. There are carnival rides set up which if you have not bought the VIP pass is an extra charge to participate in. The venue recommends spending at least 90mins to experience the whole event and that should be plenty of time to check out all Shaq has to offer. Arriving early in the evening allows for plenty of time to grab candy and most of the lines were non-existent until an hour or so before the witching hour. As with most halloween events, one could expect the busiest time to be mid evening (~8-9PM) and with the bars and houses and attractions one could experience, crowd flow is handled fairly well.\ We had a fun time at "Shaqtoberfest" . An event that recreated that small town festival feeling in LA. Nothing blew us out of the water during the time we were there but it is halloween fun that can be had by all. ℹ️ ADDITIONAL INFO Paid Parking Lot or Shuttle, Metal Detector, Live DJ, Food and Drink available for purchase, Family friendly evenings, ADA accessible, Outdoor. • Emursive presents Punchdrunk's - "Sleep No More"

LOCATION: New York City, New York, USA Photo above is property of The McKittrick Hotel 📝   ETR DECODER 🔑 EXPERIENCE : Sleep No More 📅 DATE PLAYED : July 9, 2022 🎬 GENRE : Immersive Theatre, Film Noir 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on ~200 ppl) : N/A 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS : ~200PPL (Ages 18+, Ages 13+ require an adult) 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME : 2-3 Hrs 💰 PRICE : $119.50 - $353.44/PP (pending on group size) ☎️ BOOKING TYPE : Public 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED? : Yes 📖 THE STORY In the old McKittrick Hotel, lies an experience like no other. A show that puts you directly into the action of Shakespeare’s beloved tragedy, Macbeth. Upon entering the hotel, one notices the theme changes all around, for it is not only a retelling but a reimagining of the story in a film noir setting. It is now up to you to explore and make the show your own. It takes place in two hours and in that time you will explore the relationships between characters, expand upon the story-world where this takes place and be given an evening you won’t forget. This is an adult show and no one under the age of 18 will be allowed into the venue. There will be disturbing imagery as well as nudity and minor gore. The adult themes were handled very tastefully during the production and added to the experience rather than taking away. Some of the most powerful parts of the show come from the discomforting/disturbing scenes. Video above is property of The McKittrick Hotel 👀 THE EXPERIENCE "Sleep No More" takes place in The McKittrick Hotel where there is a whole manner of events offered each and every evening. As of July 2022, in order to enter the show everyone must be vaccinated and wearing an N95 mask. This is checked in line before you enter the building and you will not be admitted to the show without proof, they will provide the N95 mask for everyone. You are then let into the first portion of the hotel where there is a coat check available (for a small fee or free depending on the ticket purchased) and a front desk where you will verify your ticket and receive a playing card. Each guest is given a unique card and you will be sent to the Manderley Bar. The bar is open one hour before the show and feel free to drink at your leisure. Before arriving at the bar, you are asked to put your phone on SILENT and it is placed inside a little pocket bag where it is LOCKED closed, you hold onto your phone the entire time but access is not available unless you exit the show and have staff unlock the bag. Punchdrunk believes that for the time you are exploring the show everyone should be present and undistracted. Also, while in the show, you are asked respectfully to remain from speaking. Once the show is ready to begin they will call card values and let people into the experience in small groups. There is a brief introduction before you are let into the show and the next two hours are yours to explore. When the show has concluded, all are led back to the bar for merriment and discussion. This is a great time to meet up with your friends and talk about what you saw and compare it to what they saw. Did they see the same scenes as you? Did you find the note hidden in the jacket pocket? Did you get to interact with an actor one-on-one? During the show is your story, after the show it’s all a collective experience. Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE Everything that is presented to you, scenic and prop wise, makes you truly believe that you have been sent to a new world. There are a multitude of floors and each one is designed with detail and functionality in mind. It is a large enough space that it can be easy to get lost, meaning new surprises are around every corner. The actors in the show were top notch! When there is a lack of speaking, the dancing is the driving force behind the show. The choreography and work the actors put into their characters make you feel each and every emotion the character puts out all while telling a cohesive narrative. Sound design and lighting are the unsung heart of "Sleep No More" . There is a beautiful score that enchants the audience members during the production. It is very much noticeable and flows with the action happening. Embrace the ebbs and flows with the music and get lost in the perfectly synchronized rhythms and beats telling the story of Macbeth. While exploring the McKittrick hotel, everything is lit precisely. There are dim areas but, for your adjusted eyes, there aren't many issues navigating your surroundings. You can tell a lot of effort was put into immersion and sight-lines for the audience. One particularly good example is when you are in a brightly lit room that has windows but there are small items out in the distance that one can see to both intrigue and captivate your attention. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK The show starts the immersion from the minute you enter the building, and while they do a good job explaining the bare bones of what you will be seeing. A little more information could be given about what one could expect when attending Sleep No More. Our tickets were for Oz’s guest list. They included a personal table in the bar before and after the start, a private waiter, and complementary coat check. You will be standing for the duration of the show. From our experience, the upgrade may not be worth it. If you value a seat and plan on drinking it is a good remedy, or if you are a group that carries a lot of personal items, complementary coat check would be quite beneficial. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? "Sleep No More" is regarded by many to be the premier immersive theatrical experience in the world and they truly live up to that name. It is a night of art, performance, dance and exploration that all culminates to an experience like no other. This is an event for those who are willing to open themselves for something unique and original. The time, care and effort are extremely noticeable. Seeing the show one time just might not be enough, the moving parts, the one on one interactions, each piece of the production is carefully choreographed and expertly timed so that every viewing will be different. After all of this information, if it sounds of any interest, check out Sleep No More. No words can truly describe this show. ℹ️ ADDITIONAL INFO Immersive Theater, Street Parking, Physically active show (for best experience must be able to climb up and down several stories of stairs), Coat check, Drinks served for cost, multi-tiered tickets, lobby entertainment, story enhancing items to find. • Delusion by Jon Braver (Produced by Thirteenth Floor) - "Reaper's Remorse"

LOCATION: Pomona, California, USA Photo above is property of Delusion by Jon Braver (Produced by Thirteenth Floor) 📝   ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME : Reaper's Remorse 📅 DATE PLAYED : October 23, 2021 🎬 GENRE : Horror (Immersive Theatre) 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl) : N/A 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS : Up to 12 ppl 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME : 60-120 Mins. 💰 PRICE : $89.99/ pp ☎️ BOOKING TYPE : Public 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED? : N/A Keep reading till the end for the exclusive interview with the creator, Jon Braver! 📖 THE STORY Welcome to the Phillips Manor in the 1950s. Esther Phillips, has invited a select group of individuals to come and join her for the evening and view some of her artifacts she has collected throughout the years. These artifacts, she claims, hold souls, souls that are attached to each item, souls that have not been laid to rest. The very special reason, and the one why all of you are here, is because she has collected an extremely rare piece that even she will not interact with. What is this artifact and what has Esther so terrified that a lone woman, all with similar items, makes her so nervous to be around? Explore the Phillip Manor and uncover the souls trapped inside their anchors. Are they to be trusted? Is Esther to be trusted? Video above is property of Delusion by Jon Braver (Produced by Thirteenth Floor) 👀 THE EXPERIENCE Delusion's " Reaper’s Remorse " is an immersive theatre show. This is not an escape room but a full fledged play. What makes this different from all other plays that you have seen is the clear divide between the stage and the audience. In " Reaper’s Remorse ", you are part of the play, you are part of the cast. Throughout the sixty minute long show, you and your group will be expected to improvise, run, crawl and hide all while actors are telling a story about what is truly going on in the Phillip’s Manor. Please do not let any of the above actions dissuade one from going, where the actions needed are planted into the storyline and guests are made well aware of what will be expected of them. Understand though, the more you put into your “part”, the more you will receive from the show. 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE Everything that is presented to you, scenic and prop wise, makes you truly believe that you have been transported back in time to a house that is lived in by this lone woman. There are items scattered everywhere in the house that tell the backstory and add to the intense storyline. Plot threads are introduced and/or clarified by these items and are visible to all. The actors in the show were top notch! They kept to their character the entire time and were able to spout out proper remarks when improvisational moments occurred. Sound design and lighting deserve a shout out. There was an original score created just for this production and it does what a great soundscape should, tense up those who listen to it when it is needed and throw away our sense of discomfort in the lighter moments. The lighting also created spot on cues. There was plenty for when the group was running for our life but in the more quiet moments, the use of blues and dim whites added to the creep factor. There is so much technology packed into this show, it's amazing! All to the better is that none of the tech detracts from the core story or overrides the true horror of the show. The actors stay creepy, the tech enhances the scares and the audience delivers the reaction needed for each encounter to be pulled off. The lobby is wonderful to snoop around in and one can easily spend thirty minutes learning about what is to come or what has happened from notes written by Esther herself. There is even a little puzzle for those observant folks out there. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK ** After careful review, nothing is needed to comment upon in this section. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? Delusion is one of the first companies to make their mark on the immersive theatre scene back in 2011. A decade later, it shows. The production value, the interactivity, the care of the world and the show that the creators put into this is unlike anything I have ever seen. There is a reason they are constantly rated as one of the top immersive theatre shows in the nation. There is an extra add on to the base ticket called “ Her Private Collection ”. Purchasing this extra experience gives access to the second floor of Phillip’s Manor where an exclusive bar and lounge is provided. Entertainment, such as magicians and actors wander around. Most intriguing of all though is an entire experience and encounter with one of the most eccentric and mysterious residents of the manor. So with this not being an escape room, who would Reaper’s Remorse be for? I think that if you are a fan of horror or love escape rooms with actor interactions, attending this show would be a great use of your time. It is hard to explain more of the show without spoiling the spooks and scares and encounters that you will experience but the best comparison I can give is one of your favorite horror video games. It is like that, many of the moments in the show felt like something I have experienced while playing a video game and I got to act those out in real life! I would also like to mention that even though Reaper’s Remorse is a horror show, do not expect it to be like a haunted house. There are very rare moments that actors will startle you out of nowhere, but the show focuses more on the unsettling and psychologically horrific. Will it be scary? Yes. Will it be uncomfortable? Yes. Do I believe that it is a show that almost anyone can watch and still come out enjoying the last sixty minutes? Absolutely. Reaper’s Remorse is an outstanding piece of theater that will have you and your friends talking for years to come. Photos above are property of Delusion by Jon Braver (Produced by Thirteenth Floor) 🎙️ Exclusive Interview w/ the Creator, Jon Braver Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): My name is Mike Schnurr. I am from ESCAPETHEROOMers. It is a website dedicated to escape rooms, immersive experiences, online games, puzzle games and more! We're trying to seek out different experiences that are escape room adjacent. Being in the immersive industry, it feels fairly similar coming from each other. Jon (Delusion): Absolutely. Yes! Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): My very first question behind this masterpiece of a theater is, what is your inspiration behind Reaper's Remorse? Jon (Delusion): The main inspiration was to bring back our roots, bring back a horror show like we used to do in the past. We did a Sci-Fi action adventure, which was cool in 2018, called The Blue Blade . And then now we're going back to horror. So my inspiration is to make sure that I do as scary as the show as I can for this year and something that really harkens back to, like, Halloween and captures the magic season and all that kind of stuff. So that was the foundation of what I wanted to do. But then once I found this location, I found out how old the house is, and that it was a Museum of different artifacts. From the beginning, I started thinking about what if there were more to these artifacts? What if they were, like souls captured within these artifacts? And then the story just sort of, like, built upon itself over time, where I started thinking about this woman, Esther Phillips. She's a real life woman who died a long time ago along with her husband, Louis, back in the early 20th century. And there's not much written about her. She's a sort of reclusive kind of character, whereas her husband Louis was one of the richest men in LA. So once I heard that there wasn't much of a story behind her, I took her and thrust her into this dark adventure and had her become, like, a caretaker of souls, if you will. And then I started learning about this house and more about it. And I figured, you know what part of the house is going to be, and part of the estate is going to be, like, her latest acquisition, like her latest artifact. But it's tied to her background, the world she used to be in this halfway house. She took care of people, but she was possessed by this wrath shadow. I wrote the story faster than any other story. It just all sort of came out really quickly once I found the space, and once I saw these artifacts in the space, then it just boomed. The outline came through, like, a week and then I finished the script in a couple of weeks after. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): Oh, excellent. That sounds great. So, this isn't your first foray into this immersive industry. How did you first get started? Jon (Delusion): Well, that's a long story. I'll make it a short, exciting story instead! So I know this is an ESCAPETHEROOMers thing, but I'm going to say this a few times. This is not an escape room. There are escape elements to it as well as haunted house elements. But at its core, it's a play. It's a theatrical production. So how I kind of got into this thing in the beginning, with regards to your question, it all started from role playing games. I was a big RPG guy and stuff like that. But then I went into computer role playing games like Baldur's Gate and Skyrim . And then I was thinking, I've always been the type to thrust my friends into adventures when I was a kid, like scavenger hunts and stuff like that. So that's really where it started. I played these games with my friends in my basement (my parent's basement). And then I would love to take these adventures and bring them into the real world. So I did that in the city of Chicago with Clock Tower. I decided to write a story in a clock tower and then bring the audience through, like a ten minute play. It all stems from wanting to, especially nowadays, get back to the childlike state. Let's get back to those adventures that we don't ever go on anymore. For me, it's all about thrusting the audience into something they would never imagine into a world they would never conceive. Our lives are all kind of a bit repetitive when it comes to the things we have to do. So I'm trying to create an adventure. That's really what this is about. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): I love it! So you talk about adventure. Is that the main driving factor behind all of your plays? What makes this experience different from all sorts of the other Immersive theaters out there? Jon (Delusion): This is our 7th year. So we've developed a style, the delusion that is sort of fantastical and otherworldly that's kind of the stories that I write. What sets us apart is our mantra, "play your part". We really dive deep into that where you have to help move this story forward. But I think what sets us apart is that we create a living, breathing, almost movie that you're inside of. We have an original score, sound effect, lighting cues... It's extremely cinematic. So the difference with what we're doing is I come from a film background, and everything we do with Delusion is like creating a movie, but live. Everything we're doing is cinematic. I think of people as a camera, like, when your group is going through the show, your lens and what is the best angle for the camera. So that's kind of how I'm staging and blocking the play as we're moving through, what's the best place for the guest/camera? So, in short, this is the most cinematic kind of live play that you'll ever encounter. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): I know you said it was a very fast writing process, but when did this play actually come to fruition? How long has this been in the works? Jon (Delusion): Well, it's been in the works since January of 2021. I found the venue and then wrote it in February and March. And then we started getting the preproduction. So it's all building the team, doing the design work at first and then by the time we got to July/early August, we started more of the build. Most of the build was finished in Aug/September and then rehearsing took ten days. And then we're off to the race. We started on September 16th. It takes almost six to seven months to kind of get all this stuff up and running. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): All right. Well, being an blog that concentrates mostly on Escape Rooms, I do have to ask you the question, do you do Escape Rooms? And if so, which are some of your favorites? Jon (Delusion): So, yeah, I've gotten that question before about escape rooms. The funny thing is, every time I hear that, I realize I need to go to more. I don't go to nearly enough, but I have been lately. I went to one I really enjoyed with my daughter called " Whatever happened to the Garrett’s "? I thought that was pretty cool. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): I heard good things about that room. Jon (Delusion): It’s a really good room. And then there's the venue 60out . Oh, I went to one of my favorites before too and the owner use to be one of my old actress and now she has her own company called Cross Roads Escape Games . Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): We are familiar with Cross Roads. Jon (Delusion): Yeah. Madison Orgill. She's amazing. But I will say one thing. My favorite Immersive experience, The Nest , is done by Jarrett Lantz. He actually helped create some of Delusion this year. He is an art director and owns some of the property. And the Nest is a beautiful, haunting kind of adventure in the storage unit. There's this woman who died a long time ago. She's got a bunch of stuff in her storage unit. You're kind of moving through it, collecting these cassettes and putting in a player and learning more about her life as you move through the storage units. And just the atmosphere is so beautiful. I can't recommend that enough. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): That's wonderful, it sounds like an amazing time! Do you have any closing comments for our readers or just what to expect coming up, maybe even a teaser for next year? Jon (Delusion): Oh, wow. Okay. So what would I say to your readers? Well, I will say once again, I will repeat that if you're an escape room lover, that means you love being a kid. You love adventure. You love these kinds of experiences. So come into Delusion . But don't destroy all of our props. So let's just put it that way. It's not an escape room. Don't start ripping things off the walls, treat everything with respect and know that you're in a play. Number two is I guarantee you'll love it. It's a hauntingly beautiful, and terrifying story. And then in terms of next year, I'm with this company, Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group . So I'm starting a new Department for them called the "Immersive Experiences Department", and I'm directing that. So I have about four projects in the works right now. We'll see if they come out next year or the year after, but there's a long time here. My plans are measured in years instead of, like months. There's a long, exciting process. We're going to be going through lots of different experiences, but I would definitely stay in touch with Delusion . We helped bring about this interactive theater trend here in LA back in 2011, and we're just continuing to try to break the mold all the time and push the envelopes! Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): So far, so good. And after the show, after Reaper's Remorse , I had a wonderful time, the show was phenomenal. The storyline made sense and I know that's a hard thing to do in this type of industry. Jon (Delusion): That's another topic. How do you tell a story in this kind of format and get it across? Because there's a lot going on. People have came back multiple times. That's the cool thing about this kind of theater. It's like you come multiple times because you'll get different storylines but there's only one main storyline. And that storyline branches into different narratives. So there are moments when you're being captured and taken away into different “side quests”, if you will. But then you come back to your main group. So when you're done with the play, you come back to your friends, like, what did you do? How did it go? And you have different actors as well, too. So it's always different. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): Does that mean every day there's a different show, or is it still always the same? Jon (Delusion): It's the same basic show. But the thing is, it's very organic because we double and triple cast actors. So the actors will bring about a different energy and you yourself, as I said, when you might get captured and taken away into one path, whereas you come back another day and you go on a different path, it will feel different every time you come. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): Excellent. Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me. This is Mike Schnurr with ESCAPETHEROOMers along with Jon Braver. Make sure you check out "Reaper’s Remorse" in Pomona, California. Now playing through November 13th! • Intruder Escape™ Black Light Entertainment© - "The Clown Academy"

LOCATION: Los Angeles, California, USA Photo above is property of Intruder Escape ™Black Light Entertainment © 📝   ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME : The Clown Academy 📅 DATE PLAYED : October 22, 2021 🎬 GENRE : Horror (Interactive Haunt) 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl) : 2/10 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS : Up to 4 ppl 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME : 10-15 Mins. 💰 PRICE : $25.00/ pp ☎️ BOOKING TYPE : Private 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED? : Yes Keep reading till the end for the exclusive interview with the co-creator, Cameron Cooper! 📖 THE STORY The Clown Academy sought to bring clowning into the mainstream. Back in 1901, it was founded and the first students entered, the school quickly started to expand after that. It spread throughout the US and was quite the prestigious academy for fifty years. Then in 1951, the "Clowning Act" was passed and started shutting down these schools' locations due to “malpractice'' and “disappearance” rumors; now in 2021 only one building remains in Southern California. They have shortly opened their doors to the public to show all that they have changed their ways...or have they... 👀 THE EXPERIENCE The Clown Academy is a self proclaimed Interactive Haunt . Where most haunted houses have you walk through each room getting scared by an actor and proceeding to the next room. TCA seeks to have you get scared through not only those jump scares but through actor interactions that take place in each room your small group of people encounter. You and up to three others will embark on this journey together and it is up to you to make it to the end of the maze. This is not a haunted house where the actors can touch you, but you, as a group, are expected to talk to them and play their little games. The games are fairly simple but under the pressure of a creepy clown staring you in the face, even the most tough of your group might get goosebumps and slip up. 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE The set's design and atmosphere adds very well to the overall story and creepiness one can experience while making their way through the school. There are a lot of different types of rooms to convey during the walkthrough attraction and each was distinctly unique. Interacting with the actors is a wonderful experience. Each actor does their best to introduce you to the games they want you to play while staying in character and scaring the daylights out of your group. Escape room enthusiasts will be pleased to know that at portions during the game, there are puzzles to solve. None of these are hard puzzles but when you work under pressure or under the guise of a clown, tripping up on the simplest of solutions may be your downfall. Waiting in line can be the most annoying part of any haunted house but thankfully TCA has a bunch of distractions to keep your group occupied. Some of these included magicians, carnival games, and movies to watch. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK Going through with a group of one, I finished the house in five minutes. Black Light advertises the experience to take 10-15mins. This does run on the short side but with the actor's interactions in larger groups I believe the time limit to make sense. It is a very fast haunt and which could make the price point a little high but the work and quality involved justifies twenty five dollars per person. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? ESCAPETHEROOMers seek to bring not only honest reviews of escape rooms but other attractions that an escape room enthusiast might enjoy. The Clown Academy was created by a couple escape room junkies who blended what they saw in rooms and things they could add from haunts and gives an extremely unique haunted attraction. The more you interacted with the creeps in the maze, the more you would get out of the haunt. Each room you went into was very well created and there were even some creative effects that added to the tension of the haunt. The largest issue of the experience was the length. I blinked and it was over. It does not mean I did not have a blast while being led around in the clown school. Black Light put on a wonderful production where those who lived around the LA area could have a scary and new type of haunt. Photos above are property of Intruder Escape ™Black Light Entertainment © 🎙️ Exclusive Interview w/ the Co-creator, Cameron Cooper Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): How long have you been producing these experiences? Cameron (Intruder Escape): I have been producing these attractions for around four years now. This is the most unique experience as our others usually take place out on a ranch where intruders capture you as your group performs tasks. We are currently working on something special for the springtime! Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): How long has this haunt been in the works? Cameron (Intruder Escape): The idea for The Clown Academy has been around since February. Throughout that time we worked hard trying to produce a venue and create the world that would be scaring guests. Breaking ground started in June and working really hard for the next four months, TCA came together into the experience it is today. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): What can victims' guests expect to experience during their time in the Clown Academy? Cameron (Intruder Escape): During their visit, guests can expect to have an entertaining time while still feeling completely safe. We are looking to give the public a fun experience, we don’t want to terrify them. This is not an extreme haunt, the actors cannot touch you but you can/(and have to) touch the scenery and sets to make your way through. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): What do you classify this experience as and what makes it stand out from other haunts currently in operation? Cameron (Intruder Escape): TCA is first and foremost a task-based experience, calling it an interactive haunted attraction. This is similar but not as extreme as 17th door, located here in LA. There is no shock, bugs or drowning. A lot of these rooms, actually, came from inspirations found in escape rooms. One room in particular was taken directly from an escape room and made even more creepy and “deadly”. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): What made you want to design an interactive haunt? Cameron (Intruder Escape): The idea came from escape rooms and mixing my worst fear. I am truly terrified of being home and having someone break into the house and encountering that situation. I figured that I might be able to marry the two ideas together. Part of that came to fruition with The Intruder Escape app that we created, as well as our previous endeavors. As escape rooms became more popular, mixing puzzles and interactive elements seemed to be the next best idea. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): Why clowns? What was the inspiration behind the storyline to the maze? Cameron (Intruder Escape): Believe it or not, I actually love clowns and the circus. I always thought they were intriguing and I am very familiar that not everyone feels the same way I do. With the interactivity for the idea I had this fall, I wanted to design something that I both love and would work well in the medium. Mike (ESCAPETHEROOMers): What are your top Escape Rooms? Cameron (Intruder Escape): My favorite room is Elevator Shaft at The Basement here in LA. The puzzles and design they did in that room is astonishing. My second favorite has to be Oz from Mind Trap . I love a good Wizard of Oz story and they nailed it (Unfortunately Oz has been retired). *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** (If you do decide to try this game, give us a shoutout or tag us on social media so we know you heard it from " ESCAPETHEROOMers "!) • Level99 - "A World of Challenges"

LOCATION: Natick, Massachusetts, USA Photos above are property of Level99 Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 📝   ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME : A World of Challenges 📅 DATE PLAYED : October 2, 2021 🎬 GENRE : Adventure, Questing 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 4 ppl) : 7/10 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS : 2-6 ppl 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME : Varies by Room 💰 PRICE : $29.99 - $49.99/ pp (pending on time) ☎️ BOOKING TYPE : Private 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED? : Yes (Some rooms) 👀 THE EXPERIENCE Level99 isn’t an Escape room, it is a play-land of physical, mental, and skillful games for the whole family to enjoy. If you have ever played a video game with mini games, this is the closest I can compare this venue to. There are ~43 different rooms, arena competitions, and local artworks with hidden messages all packed in 48,000 sq ft. With all that space and things to see and do, how does one navigate this playground? When you first enter, you will be given a wrist band. This wristband is your key to unlocking each room and opening all 40+ of them. You move over to a kiosk where you will make an account and get assigned a “code name” that the game will call you by. You also receive 50 DIAMONDS. Diamonds are your key to unlocking the multitude of rooms in Level99, as you play the games you will spend your diamonds to open rooms that appeal to your group. The more you play the more diamonds it will take to open up new rooms. “But how are you supposed to unlock all rooms” you might ask; well, in every room there is a status bar that shows how well you have completed the room and is rated on a scale of three Diamonds, these rooms are meant to be played over and over again to be mastered by each group! If you run out of diamonds, you can of course purchase more. It is now up to you and your friends to make your choices and cater the experience for what interests you. There are 10+ themes from temples, modern art, jungle, candy, pirates, nuclear reactor, and Sci-Fi. The list just keeps going. In front of each room is a screen where you will receive almost all of the information needed for the experience you will pick. It gives the title of the game and shows a couple attributes on what to expect (ex. Physical, mental, logical, skill). When all of your group has “signed in” press the start button and enter the room. You are NOT told what to do in each room, sometimes the title names help give hints and other times you walk in and sit around wondering how to get to the flashing button on the other side without instantly failing. Some rooms are easier to figure out than others but the good news is that once you unlock a room, that room will be unlocked forever in your account. You can replay it as many times as you like but no diamonds will be added if you succeed. Instead, coins will be given when succeeded. You can accumulate coins on your account to spend on hints or diamonds. The hints can nudge you or give you the solution to successfully complete the room. Of course more coins will be needed for cleared hints or the solution. There are other things to do as well when you need to take a break from the cooperative challenges. You can walk around and look at all sorts of different artwork (all made by local artists) and in each piece is a hidden symbol. Kiosks are placed throughout Level99 where the more symbols you find the more diamonds you will get. So essentially a scavenger hunt. Be careful though, if you input the wrong symbol into the kiosk, it will take away some of your hard earned progress. The other option to fill your time while participating in their arena games. All of the arena games are visible to the public and they split your team into two groups to “fight” head to head and only one team will emerge with victory. They have games such as rock climbing pong, lightning reflexes, and dodgeball. Eventually you'll definitely get hungry. Level 99 partnered up with Night Shift Brewing and you'll find a range of yummy foods and drinks. Check out our YouTube video for a sneak peek of the location, the room(s) (no puzzle spoilers) and more: Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE The variety of the rooms is tons of fun, walking through each door for the first time, you are never quite sure what the challenge is going to be. The mystery is what is so addictive in playing each room. There is no better feeling than mastering the room and getting the three diamonds. The facades, and the art around the area is unique to look at and is visually appealing. There is an awesome light sculpture that welcomes everyone into Level99 and each piece is vibrant, colorful, and sometimes even punny. Every room as well is faced with an exterior to put your group in the mood for what is to come Each room adjusts difficulty based on the number of players who entered their wrist bands into the starting screen. Having each room adaptive, creates a nice balance and makes sure each group has to work equally hard to earn their three diamonds! The accessibility information before each room was very considerate and such a great feature. Some of these rooms are physically demanding, others have tight corridors, and others just have flashing lights that could potentially trigger photosensitive individuals. Knowing this beforehand may seem minor to some people, but to those who need it, it will make sure they have a good time! 🧩 MISSED THE MARK With the public nature of this venue and having each room open to all groups it can be possible to wait to get into a room you have been eagerly trying to unlock. To make up for this, the screen will let you know about how long you have to wait (no longer than 5 mins). When you are on a 2hr time limit 5 mins could be a long time so make sure to go during weekdays or when the venue just open in the morning. Some of the rooms are VERY physically demanding. If you don’t have that skill set (climbing monkey bars, swinging on ropes) stay away from the rooms that are marked as physical. For some of our teammates it would be impossible even with the physique as certain props are build only for tall people or people with longer leg length. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? Level99 is pure, simple nonstop fun! Our group of four spent about three hours there and it literally felt like one as time just flew by. The physical games take it out of you, the mental games, while easier for our group, due to the sheer amount of rooms, beat us down by the time we needed to leave. Did we still have fun? OF COURSE! I personally could have stayed for an entire day but there were other escape rooms to visit on that trip. Each room requires at least two people to participate and with our group it was fun trying different combinations of each person and who best paired up with who and learning who was/wasn’t able to muscle through the physical challenges. One of my favorite rooms was completed with my best friend and was “space twister,” we entered and got three diamonds on our very first attempt! Other rooms are not quite the same, Brandon, Cici, and I all went into a blueprint maze and after four attempts we still could not figure out the solution. The multitude of games and things to do can make this a whole day event for the family and friends. If you are in the Boston area, go to LEVEL99! • Boda Borg Boston - "Boda Borg Quests"

LOCATION: Malden, Massachusetts, USA 📝   ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME : Quests 📅 DATE PLAYED : February 10, 2020 🎬 GENRE : Adventure 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 4 ppl) : 9/10 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS : 3-5 ppl 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME : Hours or all day packages available 💰 PRICE : $24.00 - $36.00/ pp (pending on time) ☎️ BOOKING TYPE : Private (only your group will be in the quest together) 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED? : Yes (3 Quests) 📖 THE STORY Experience the quest! Test your skills and challenge yourself! At Boda Borg you'll be transported to other dimensions called "Questing"! You can play a role in any one of their adventures where anything and everything is possible! Currently they have 19 challenges (Shape, Farm, Pirates, Alcatraz, Platoon, Nostalgia, Quiz Show, Rats, Access, Boot Camp, Sphinx, Spycatcher, Spook House, Superbanan, Potions, Awesome!, 27 Seconds, and Jungle) but will be adding another 6 quests soon! 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE As soon as you step foot inside Boda Borg Boston, it feels like you've entered an adventure land (3 levels of fun!) There are so many options to chose from mental challenges to physical challenges based on difficulty levels. The lobby area is massive w/ self check-in stations, tables & booths for dining, and food and drinks for purchase! The customer service is great and the facility is incredibly clean! Store your items downstairs in the complimentary lockers before you begin your quests! The set designs for each Quest was incredibly unique and different from each other. As soon as you open the door of a quest, you feel like you've been transported to another world. One moment you're in a magic school making potions, few minutes later you're trying to break out of a jail cell, and just moments later you're stuck in a haunted house with creepy dolls....We couldn't keep up with the surprises. My favorite room was Rats. We literally got "shrunken" down to rat sizes and were playing the room in their perspective trying to hop on to kitchen counters and avoid our nemesis, the cat. When it came to the puzzles, the challenges in each Quest fit right in with the mission. You'll experience physical obstacles like balancing on a plank or climbing on tires and also mental challenges like trivia questions or logic sequences. These challenges really makes teamwork a necessity. While some of our teammates were weaker at physical challenges, they definitely contributed more in the mental challenges and vise versa. We really enjoyed this concept and the design of these quests to help boost team morale and encourage teamwork. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK We really loved everything about Boda Borg. We can't wait to go back. This is more of a suggestion for the player regarding the booking. Since Boda Borg could get quick busy during weekend, try to go on weekdays if possible. Since every quest could only be entered after the previous team fail or pass onto the next room, there could be a wait for the more popular rooms (like potion). 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? Boda Borg should not be interpreted as a typical escape room. There will be times you might need to search and associate items with each other and other times it's basically an obstacle course that just need you to have physical endurance. You only have one attempt in the room you enter and as soon as you make a mistake, you'll be kicked out of the room and will have to start from the beginning again. You will not have hints or anyone informing you what you did wrong. It's more like trial and error and you'll have to figure things out yourself. This place definitely will challenge your patience level, virtue (helping out other teammates), mental and physical boundaries and more! Although you may walk out of there with a few bruises (knee pads strongly recommended), the memories will stay with you for a life time! 🔎 HINT Be sure to observe all the little details in the room. Every movement should be "recorded" by your teammates so if you failed, you should not attempt the same mistake again. Try to mix up physical and mental rooms so you don't drain your energy so quickly. If you get there early, do the popular rooms first. If you are lucky, the workers may give you a little nudge so be super nice to them! Additional info large lobby area with seating Food/beverage/merchandise for purchase Free Wifi Storage lockers 5 Minute walk from train station Parking lot at 170 centre street is free on sundays and holidays ($3 all day on week days) Sneakers required Recommend comfortable clothing & knee pads Sign waiver in advance online to save time upon arrival (If you do decide to try this experience, give us a shoutout or tag us on social media so we know you heard it from " ESCAPETHEROOMers "!) Comfortable theater seats. Movie script was funny and entertaining. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK ]Hopefully future 4D glasses could be more comfortable and be fully enclosed so you don’t see your neighbor’s shadows for the full immersion effect. It did become a bit repetitive in terms of how wind, water and smell was used, and a bit expected at certain spots in the movie. It would be great to see more on the creative side of how these can be incorporated. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? Kids will love this and so will adults. It’s worth the stop when visiting Madame Tussauds NYC. Who doesn’t want a photo with their superhero and then see them in action? 🔎 HINT Certain seats will get a bit more wet than others so chose wisely. The theater can fit a lot of people at once but do check the showing times as you may have to wait 10-15min if you missed a showing time.  Additional Info Located in Time Square, public transportation strong recommended as parking will be difficult (If you do decide to try this room, please remember to let them know that " ESCAPETHEROOMers " sent you!) They would pop up right in front of you and create a “jump scare” moment. There was plenty of blood splatters during the game so pending on how much you'd like your kids to see, you may want to look at some previews of our footages first to make a decision. Seats were comfortably designed. vSome impact can be felt when there was a sudden drop or a collision. You will be wearing a seat belt, so safety was definitely in place. The competition aspect was a lot of fun. Surround sound system was great throughout. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK There were a few moments when we were moving too quick and I felt a little dizzy so pending on how well you do with 3D/4D movies, you might want to consider if you’ll be comfortable with this game or not. We didn’t really feel other sensors being stimulated as much. Perhaps adding smell, wind factor or water spray at times might with the immersive experience more. If the glasses can be more of an enclosed VR type so you don’t see the shadows of other players next to you during the game, it will bring the experience to another level. When we got out, the score board had already disappeared from the screen and there was no way to bring it back which was a bit disappointing. It would be great if the employee at the station could bring it back for players that would like to see their scores since that was the most exciting ending aspect of the game. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This is a fun game to play with friends and family. Let your competitive side loose and see if you can be the hero that saves the day! 🔎 HINT Don't hit the civilians. Suddenly, it started to work and we were taken on an undersea adventure. Will we survive? Photo + Video property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE The sound, props, and lighting used felt like we were on a ride in Disney World.  Once you enter the room, your reality disappeared. The space didn’t seem enormous on the outside, but the set design was really clever at creating that illusion. Every room felt like a different story was being told. The objective was clearly stated when you entered each room and you’ll need to complete it before moving onto the next area. The various challenges made the storyline engaging. We were excited to move forward to discover a new adventure as each door opened into a completely different atmosphere. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK Most of the puzzles therefore were quite linear. Some puzzles felt like they could be messier with more people in the group trying to solve that one single puzzle. When time comes, the computer may just have to bypass the puzzles to allow you into the next room. You might miss some parts of the experience (seeing how the puzzle was completed) but at least able to go through the entire room. When we finished a certain challenge sooner, we had to wait awhile before the game allowed us to proceed into the next room since the computer is automating the game flow. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This is not a typical escape room and that is why we have posted this review under our immersive experiences’ category.  Our experience might feel different than yours as we've played the entire game with just the two of us. But we were still able to experience all the areas within 50 minutes. Since this is controlled solely by the computer, on a busy day you may be grouped with a larger group and might not be able to have the full experience in each area. If you like Disney rides and the feeling of entering a fantasy world, you’ll love this place. The other great thing is that you’ll be able to buy a combo ticket (their other game is called “Espionage” which you’ll be able to see a sneak peek on our YouTube channel) for a great deal and use it on another day if you can’t fit them both in the same day. ** Fun fact: As you are playing the game, the game is already resetting for the next game automatically! 🔎 HINT It might help to assign “jobs” to each player. The lobby is an open area with just the entrance to the three rooms. You enter into the same hallways but get debriefed at a different door each time depending on the game you are playing. It's definitely a more fun experience if you attend with people that you know share the same momentum and goal. Purchasing all 3 games is the most worth it, but when it gets busy you may have to share the room w/ random people or have to wait in between rooms. We're glad that we decided to try all 3 and receive the full experience. As for the rooms, if you like Disney rides, you are going to love these! The high tech quality of the props, storyline, and surround sound system implemented were all state-of-the-art. One minute, you'll feel like you're in an Egyptian tomb, the next in a futuristic spaceship, and then entering a hundred year old castle. The puzzles were not hard, some were actually pretty much geared towards kids. This is not your typical puzzle-heavy escape room. You are really here to experience a movie set and immerse yourself into it like an actor on set. We enjoyed all 3 rooms, but if we had to pick a favorite, I would say the "Tomb" is up there. They will give you a score at the end, pending on the time you spend in there, how many errors you've made, and if you used any of the clues or not (the clues are "voluntarily" given pending on the time you spend at a specific location because remember these are 30 minute rooms so the game will push you along and will not let you be stuck at a place for too long). Check out our proud scores below. Maybe not the castle one... • Chambers Escape Games - "The Temple"

LOCATION: Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Videos/ Photos are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 📝   ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME : The Temple 📅 DATE PLAYED : April 12, 2019 🎬 GENRE : Egyptian 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 PPL) : 7/10 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS : Up to 8ppl 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME : 60 Mins 💰 PRICE : $35-45/PP ☎️ BOOKING TYPE : Private 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED? : Yes Our third stop in Honolulu, Hawaii is at the Chambers Escape Games. There's a parking lot to the left of their location which is actually cheaper than paying the street meter. They are located on the 2nd floor with stairs and elevator access. In terms of size, this is the largest escape room location we've been to in Hawaii. Once you enter the lobby, you are already feel like you are being prepared for an incredible adventure. The Anubis, Ancient Guardians of the temple awaits for your arrival. The owner also cleverly built a wall with lego bricks so remember to check that out! The owner informed us the game is still in beta-testing mode and as we've beta tested many times, we were ready for what's to come. As we walked with the owner down the hallway to a black door, we were shocked at what we saw when the door opened. The surround sound music system and  the perfect balance of the light ambience of the room felt like we were instantly teleported deep within an ancient temple. There's real sand, concrete slab doors, and very well-made artifacts pieces for game play. This game incorporated a good mixture of physical key locks and magnetic locks. The game flow was great and there were no red herrings whatsoever. There's a good balance of brain and physical exercise which we rarely see in a game. This escape room focused a lot on an immersive feel for the player and also storytelling. We felt like the production value was definitely "Disney World ride" like. As we completed the game with some time left on the clock, the victory music made us feel like heroes. We were quite sad to be transported back to the real world again. This did not feel like beta-testing as we didn't have anything to add at the end in terms of any corrections that needed to be made. This is Chambers first escape room as they only opened January starting with VR escape games which we also happened to try. Read about our VR game review of "Depth of Osiris". We definitely hope to return one day for their new room to come! Check out our YouTube video above for a sneak peek of the location, interview with the owner, the room and more! ** We regret to inform you that this location has closed its doors. • Chambers Escape Games - "Depths of Osiris"

LOCATION: Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Photos & Videos are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers & Chambers Escape Games 📝   ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME : deoths of Osiris 📅 DATE PLAYED : April 12, 2019 🎬 GENRE : Ocean 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 PPL) : 7/10 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS : Up to 4ppl 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME : 45 Mins 💰 PRICE : $35-45/PP ☎️ BOOKING TYPE : Private 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED? : Yes This is our first VR escape room experience ever and we loved it! Read our review of “ The Temple ” room to find out more about this escape location. We tried the ocean themed VR experience called "Depths of Osiris". In this mission you are in a submarine underwater and have to retrieve the lost crown. You'll need to be there a bit earlier as you'll need to be strapped in with a backpack, VR glasses, headphone and gloves (joysticks). Chambers' VR is wireless and you can all be in one VR box while playing. Having no wires allows you to move without the entanglement issue but you may bump into each other if you saw an item together and want to retrieve it at the same time. You'll be given clear instructions on where to stay and where not to go. We are happy to report there was no physical injury during the game. As the game started, we were transported into a submarine and you can see the fishes swimming around you. The attention to detail is quite impressive in the VR world. We had to utilize a lot of different movements like turning and tossing in the game but there was no motion sickness at all! The game play is around 30-40 minutes and we are happy to report we successfully completed it! We also took a sneak peak at the "Space Station Tiberia" and "Dragon Tower" games. For the space mission, you felt like you were in zero gravity and if you won't have a chance to go to the moon in your life time, this is the closest it's going to get! For Game of Throne fans, ever wanted to slay that dragon? This is your chance in the "Dragon Tower". Just make sure you are not afraid of being attacked by fire and ice breathing dragons and most importantly, have a strong back and knees for loading those arrows!!! We definitely hope to return one day for their new games to come! Check out our YouTube video above for a sneak peek of the location, interview with the owner and more! (If you do decide to try this game, give us a shoutout or tag us on social media so we know you heard it from " ESCAPETHEROOMers "!) * We don't want to go into detail and ruin any surprises for you, but you want more info like if the room is a multi-room or what other additional tips we can provide to you, feel free to email us. • Hermès - "Mystery at the Grooms'"

LOCATION: New York City, New York, USA Photo above is property of Hermès Photo above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 📝    ETR DECODER 📸 EXPERIENCE : Mystery at the Grooms' 📅 DATE PLAYED : June 25, 2025 🎬 GENRE : Mystery 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 4 ppl) : 6/10 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS : N/A 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME : 60 Mins. 💰 PRICE : Free ☎️ BOOKING TYPE : Public 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED? : Yes 🎭    THE EXPERIENCE Grooms, integral to the equestrian tradition, are the dedicated caretakers of horses and the historical representatives of the house. Nowadays, their playful group of horses has transformed into the Hermès objects embellishing the house. Now, it's your turn, as the guests of the Grooms, to follow a path of scattered clues and find them before time runs out. Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯    HIT THE BULLSEYE To start the experience, participants are asked to set up an account on Hermès' website using their phones, which will be synchronized throughout the experience. As you explore the rooms, the objective is to click the horses specific to each room. The interface was highly responsive and precise, making us feel like detectives exploring the space. While your group is waiting to enter, you can enjoy a horse-galloping game on your phone to keep entertained. The set design was excellent and effectively highlighted Hermès' merchandise without making it appear out of place. 🧩   MISSED THE MARK Although this was primarily a puzzle hunt, I felt like they could have introduced a variety of challenges rather than focusing solely on search and find. For the puzzles that had a more unique design, there was no guidance provided. Solving them relied solely on trial and error, and not everyone in the group had access to them. Each group had to move through a total of 10 rooms, spending approximately 10 minutes in each and the experience felt very congested and rushed. 🏹   TAKE A SHOT? The event was an ingenious method for Hermès to display their products while ensuring attendees were entertained. Since the main aspect of the challenge involved searching and discovering, it encouraged participants to visually concentrate and notice the details in their environment. If you enjoy fashion and exhibits, this offers a distinctive blend of the two. However, if you're looking to solve puzzles and expect escape room-level challenges, this experience may not meet your expectations. ℹ️   ADDITIONAL INFO There is no parking available. Parking garages are located within walking distance. Highly recommend a ride-share app or taxi. At the end of the experience, you receive an Hermès notebook (color choices: yellow, pink, or orange). Coat check is available (additional cost) Photo above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers (If you do decide to try this game, give us a shoutout or tag us on social media so we know you heard it from " ESCAPETHEROOMers "!) #BrandonChow #PuzzleHunts #Hermès #Mystery #NYC #NewYork #USA
